Palo, Remy or both?

Remy is really for us a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of the cruise schedule and a treat to sit and talk without the kids for a lengthy and thoroughly delicious meal. It's more about the experience for us than the food. It's the view, the service (and absence of it when you don't need it) and the romance of sitting at a table meant for two. DH does wear a jacket and tie, but he's often one of the few that does wear a tie in the room. Make sure you eat lightly during the day on the day of your reservation as you'll want to save room for all those courses. Palo is more relaxed and also has a really great menu. We try to do both when we are on the Dream class ships. We are wondering what will be created for the new ships!

Khakis and a shirt with a collar (polo) and shoes will get a man into Palos, add a lightweight sport jacket and your into Remy's. If this is your first cruise on the Dream there is probably no need to do either, since you haven't seen all the regular menus. If one of the menus look good to you, go for it.

We did both on our last cruise. My husband needed a tie at Remy but not at Palo. We love both. But Remy is a one time thing. We do it Palo every time.

We had dinner at Remy on the Fantasy in December and my boyfriend did not wear a tie and no one said anything. I recall a lot of other diners not wearing a tie as well. Also, the dress code on the website only mentions that a jacket is required, not a tie.

Maybe this has changed since you dined there?

A tie is definitely not required at Remy, and I've even taken my jacket off once I was there. The one time I took off my jacket I was wearing a vintage Enchanted Tiki Room Cast Member shirt and dress slacks. Nothing was said to me.
