Palin with Couric.

I'm a life-long Democrat as well. My opinions tend to lie somewhere to the left of the left.

But, I don't think her education...her schooling...should be called into question as far as her being unintelligent. I also don't think calling her a "Bimbo" is appropriate.

What I do think should be called into question is her education on things such as foreign policy and the economy. Her UN speed-dating over the past 2 days concerns me. As does her lack of knowledge on the economy and on her parties stance on this issue.

Okay, mea culpa, I'll retract the "bimbo" comment, and my apology to anyone this offended. I am feeling a tad emotional! I will stand by my statement on her education, however. Wouldn't you expect the next potential leader of the free world to be at the very least either a law school graduate or hold at least one masters degree? There are educational requirements for all kinds of jobs. Up until this week, she has never met a foreign head-of state before. Her first trip outside of North America was last year. Her lack of knowledge and experience is downright frightening.

American Idolization? You have got to be kidding me. Obama is the king of Idolization in our mass media.

If Palin made a Gaffe like Biden did, She would have had to quit the race, but for Biden, its ok!

I'm not a rabid Obama fan, trust me on that. He is the most inexperienced presidential candidate we've seen in awhile. But he's very bright, and I do believe that we need to go in a different direction. I'm willing to give him a shot.

And yes, Biden has put his foot in his mouth about ten times in the past month. But he's also very experienced and very bright.

McCain is unfortunate that his weakest topic (the economy) just happens to be in major-crisis mode 40 days out. Had he chosen Romney or Ridge, I may be voting for him given the mess we find ourselves in and their strong economic experience.

So yes, each of those three candidates all have their issues....

But Sarah Palin isn't in the same category....she's just a nightmare. She's like a shell with nothing inside. Maybe she'll be ready in 4-8 years for this, but she's clearly not ready now. Her answers are so shallow....no depth to anything she says at all. Far too many long pauses...and then she reaches back and finds a talking point.

Biden's biggest problem during the debate will be not to beat her up too much.....he'll look bad if he looks like he's picking on her.

Did you see my other post?

I said we shouldn't refer to her education as far as her being "unintelligent." The previous poster called her "inarticulate and uneducated." I, myself, had to transfer between 3 colleges to get my undergrad. Of course, mine was due to a sick child...and needing to be near specialists. I DO know that a bachelor's degree in broadcasting (is that what it's in?) definitely does not qualify one for a career in politics.

I won't call her names though.

I don't think she's qualified for the job. But, I"m not going to call her names.

And I agree. Her knowledge and experience to the task at hand is BEYOND frightening.

I get very heated and emotional over this as well. People who vote for a candidate because he refers to himself as a "maverick" (or herself as a "pitbull") scare the bejeezies out of me. :sad2: How about we vote for them because...as I've seen in many poster's siggys...she has "beauty, brawn, and brains!" Wow. Let's base the future of our country on labels alone...and not on the issues that mean so much to us.

Eeeesh. Rant over. :flower3:

well said!!!!!

You have never, ever, ever, ever answered why you think Obama is more qualified?

Well son, you ain't been payin' attention to the other folks so why would you pay attention to me?
Turn on a TV, read a newspaper, hell, just listen to Obama, ya might just learn somethin'. :)

Darn! I missed it. I was to busy trying to follow whether Obama was going prioritize and go to Washington - or whether he wasn't going to Washington and Bush calling his bluff (call me if you need me) and telling him to get his butt in Washington. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

And still, no answer to why you think Obama is qualified, or more qualifed than Palin? Because he speaks well with a teleprompter? Because he has been running a campaign for 19 months? Come on.

come on mike....you dont think i cant see a gaffe when I see one....Joe biden is a good public servant who has a level of experience light years beyond palin, even you can admit that, right?

True, he has been around alot longer. You can't say though, that if Palin said that, it would have been the end of her as vp?
