It kills me that Democrats feel that Republicans STOLE the last 2 elections. I guess when things don't go their way they have to cry that someone stole something - or that someone did them wrong somehow.

As for my interest in US politics, well, what goes on in the states has a profound impact on the state of our nation here across the pond, so I do have an interest in it all.

Besides, I do wish for the best possible outcome for the sakes of the majority and have logically arrived at my personal philosophies which dictate my political standings. Not saying that I am totally and always right mark you!

I am totally afraid of this happening again. Palin was in NE this weekend, I haven't heard too much of her speech again. NE is usually a RED state, but we are one of two states that can split our electoral votes and it appears atleast one or two of our districts might vote Obama this time around. I am doing all I can here!

It seems to me that with 30 days to go time is running out for McCain to get her off the ticket and salvage some credibility. Is it too late? Or is he, because of his declining poll numbers, going to make a last minute change and hope for a election time bounce?

Note: Obviously if you're a Palin supporter this thread probably makes no sense to you but for those of us just talking politics it's an interesting circumstance.

It was too late the day he announced, because it was so close to the election already. He blew it. He can't drop her now, and she won't quit. I think they will just continue to put lipstick on the pig and pretend she is qualified. (Again, note that I think she is a very attractive woman so I am not calling her a pig, it's just a figure of speech.)
