Pal Mickey (& Friends) Adventures & Fashions

No I don't write the name of the outfit on the ziploc bags. I usually just have one outfit with me at anytime..although I'll usually go back to the hotel room in the afternoon and change from the morning outfit to the evening outfit. I did the same when we went on the Cruise in February.

Cruise with Pal, any pics to share?

I went on the Magic in Jan with Pal. Great time!!!! My avatar is Pal in his boarding outfit with suitcase which had his passport and life vest for safety drill in it, oh and his camera.

I have now gotten into dressing a plush Minnie about the size of Pal as much as I have and still do with Pal. I think both their wardrobes are better than mine :goodvibes

If interested in seeing any pics of Pal and Minn dressed check out my online photo album, and check the Shamrock Retreat Album. Pal and Minn both were so cute for St Patty's day. Next day Pal wore his tux and Minn wore a princess dress.

I am going on a 3 night cruise (Wonder) in two weeks WOO HOO!!!! A friend is going with me, and since we both now have a Pal and Minn we dress up, decided she would bring Pal and I will bring Minn for the cruise.

We are going again in Sept a 7 night on the Magic, and plan to do the same. She bring Pal and I bring Minn. I know my boy is getting left out again from cruising :sad1: However, I also have two more cruises planned going solo, so Pal will go with me on those.

If you have any pics from your cruise of Pal hope you will share them.

This isn't really Pal Mickey related but..............

I use a power chair for mobility and actually just got it a couple months ago.

Someone that draws cartoons for ppl in wheelchairs, power chairs etc... drew a personal cartoon for me. Knowing how much I enjoy WDW, and Pal Mickey this is the cartoon..... (I have it on refrig but plan to get a frame and hang it up to keep. its a great laugh for me each time i see it LOL)

That cartoon is really cool! You definitely need to get it framed.

i laugh everytime I see it. Right now its hanging on refrig using magnets on corners. I really need to get to Michael's or somewhere to get a frame. I was hoping i could put it in a Michael;s magnet frame but it's too big for any they sell.

So Will come up with another idea but def need a frame.

It's good to laugh esp on those days one is not feeling like laughing <G>

Hope you are doing well.

Hi -

We just adopted a Pal Mickey and it didn't come with instructions. Does anyone have a set they can scan and email us? We want to be able to understand how he works. It is the sorceror Mickey version.

Thanks so much!:goodvibes

I know one of my friends has done this already and posted it somewhere. Let me see if I can find out who did it and where it is posted.

Sorry I don't have the instructions anymore. If away from the parks experiment pressing his hands once, twice, or tummy and that may provide you info on what it takes to play a game, trivia, etc......

Hopefully someone else will come along that can scan and provide you with instructions. If I remember correctly basically its how many times you press his hands/tummy in what he does when away from the parks.

When at the parks he will giggle and vibrate letting you know he has something to say. You press his hand or tummy and he says whatever it is that set him off.

good luck

One of my DDA friends reminded me that I have a link to the instructions in the first post on this thread. Pal Mickey Instructions Silly me forgot the link was there! :lmao: My friend Ellenbenny from the DISboards scanned and posted them.

My weekend trip was so much fun. DH and I left about 5pm on Friday and got to the cabin by 8:30pm after stopping for something to eat.
The cabin was up in Laporte and was just off the lake. The trees were too thick to really see the lake and I was not going to try to pick a path down to it. I did take pictures of the cabin but have to take the camera in to get them developed. When my sister went to Cape May, I forgot my camera so I bought a disposable digital one to use.
It seems that going to a cabin in the mountains has the same affect on your body as going to the shore. We were ready for bed at about 10:30 that evening.

Saturday, we had breakfast and went to an American Indian Pow Wow.
I was really excited because I am part Cherokee and have wanted to learn more about that part of my past. The Pow Wow was in Forksville about 15 miles from the cabin and we wanted to be there for the opening ceremony.

Before they parade out with the flags, they had some young men dance and they call it stamping down the grass.

This is one reason why I wanted to consider getting a new camera, because I was not able to get as close as I wanted for some of these pictures.

These are a few of the people dancing around the circle. There are times you can take pictures and times you cannot.

I just loved the fans that some of the women carried.

I'm loving the mocassins. I have a friend that is 1/4 Native American. I've been to many Pow-wows and I have her explain them to me. I love the jingle dress dancers best. Any of the regalia is absolutely gorgeous. The time and thought they spend making it is amazing. The beaded jewelry, walking sticks, etc. that she & her family make are beautiful. There is nothing like a pow-wow!

:mickeyjum tinker1bell - let's hear it for Chuckie's new moccasins!! They look nice and soft. Bet he's loving them.

The weirdest thing is that there is one happening about 12 miles from my house this weekend coming up. I am hoping to take Stephanie to see it. The music was very stirring. Could not stop dancing.

I was able to find myself the most beautiful ring too. Love the jewelry.

I love the music too. It's especially moving when someone explains the meaning behind the songs.

My friend's father put one on in Escanaba yearly for many years. He stopped running it a year or so ago but they still attend. She's trying to get me to go to one in Milwaukee with her. I have a tiny, tiny bit of Native American blood. I'm still trying to track down where on my grandmother's side it comes from.

Now, there's something worth writing home about! Those are so cute!!!! And the Pow Wow must've been spectacular.

I'm hoping to get to a Pow Wow sometime this year. They have some in the area sometime soon, I think. We do get to the Museum of the American Indian on the Mall in DC - what a cool place. Besides, they have the best cafeteria of all the Smithsonian Museums! Cedar Plank salmon, anyone? (I can say that 'cause I just ate dinner! :goodvibes )

Ok just found this thread. I have gotten some great ideas from you all. But where did everyone get the crocs for their Pal's? Mine needs them before our next trip!!!

Thanks

hey kaelarad - first you need to have a good freind who lives in FL, then she has to have a good friend who goes to KMart in Fl and gets crocs for all the Pal Mickeys.

I was fortunate to get baby blue ones for Pal, and pink ones for my new Princess Minnie when I was with them last month. I believe tomorrow (6/19) will be one month exactly since the little ones got their new Crocs.

You are in Baltimore area? Me too and there are no KMarts nearby any longer. :sad2:

Thanks

I got my Blue ones at Target and picked up an extra pair and I just saw they had more of them. I think they were about $6, if you would like a pair of them just let me know.

Thanks! I am heading to target tonight and will get my mum to check the k-mart near her. They are soo cute
