Pal Mickey-available at AKL Shops?

Is Pal Mickey available at the resort hotels shops? Specifically at AKL or will we need to wait until we get to a park?

Also...should we buy him upfront or just rent him? Any thoughts?

They are available at all resort gift shops. It depends on how much you plan on using him but they do apply your first day rental fee towards purchase.

I bought mine in the gift shop at AKL on the first day of our most recent trip (12 May). At that stage you could only get them at the resorts - they weren't available from the parks until a few days later.

I just went ahead and bought him, but it's probably worth renting him for a day as, if you decide to go ahead and buy him, they will deduct the rental charge from the price.

It's a stuffed doll that you take along to the parks ... it downloads information at each park and gives you little bits of trivia and plays games with you

Pal Mickey is available all over WDW resorts, downtown just about everywhere I saw them last week
