if theres anyone one the Alaska could please let me know how the weather is and I know to pack in layers

but what types of clothes to bring

we leave in just a few weeks

actually were on the last sailing for the season

and we only booked when we were on the last sailing of the Med last year

this cruise way actually a bonus since we wouldn't even have thought of going but we won

the final jackpot bingo on the last years cruise so we thought what a better use put to book another one right away so we didn't get in on opening day prices but did pretty good

any tips for Alaska would be help greatly thanks all

Layers. Wool socks hat and mittens. Sunscreen. Waterproof gear and swimsuit. Jeans and shirts. More layers.

Our alaska cruise was the second to last of the season and we sunbathed and froze inside of the same week.

thanks for the tips--so basically we need alittle bit of everything

my DH is worried though that the heat might be cracked up on the ship

is the ship overwarm I imangine they keep it comfortable

thanks again

Agree with the other posters. Rain gear is very important! And I say be sure and take binoculars!!! Happy sailing!

We did the last Alaska cruise last year, and we were glad we had clothes for all types of weather. It was warm and sunny in Vancouver, and then as we went north, it got gradually cooler and wetter. The coldest day was at Endicott Arm; being on deck near the glacier was very chilly, and it was raining. For most of the trip, we had periods of drizzle and cool weather, but not really cold. The temperature inside the ship was comfortable, but it was too chilly for the pools to get much use, except for the first day. We were comfortable in long pants and rain jackets but didn't wear our winter jackets; we have LLBean primaloft packable jackets which scrunch down really small and pack in their own pockets. They are very warm but take up little space in your luggage, so I recommend something like that, just in case you need it. We didn't need hats or mittens/gloves. We didn't experience heavy rain, and there were no mosquitoes! Altogether, it was a wonderful trip, and I hope to go again someday!

I didn't do Disney, but I always find the interior spaces of cruiseships to be rather air conditioned. Though on our Alaska cruise I was newly pregnant and was simply radiating heat and sweating, so that was different. My then new husband got chilly, though.

Me being broiling is what made the glacier day (cruising TO the glacier) even worse, because I was sooo cold being outside!

YES. Cheaper than buying them on the ship, that's for sure!
