Pop It
We called them "Lie bumps" too. I usually get them if I've eaten a lot of either something sweet or something sour.
If they bother me too badly...I just rip 'em out!
(and sorry if that was TMI - lol)
Usually, they will go away on their own in a couple of days.
I'm weird and I'd have to try to pop that thing. It's one of my oddities, but I can't stand things like that, I have to pop 'em.
I used alum as a child also and it does work. It cauterizes the edges of the canker so it can't grow. Now I use a styptic pencil. It has alum in it. It can be found near shaving items like razors. It works great on canker sores inside the cheeks or mouth but not so great on the cankers on tongues.
Oh please get it checked out. My cousin had one and every doctor said it was nothing.
She was not a smoker or a drinker.
Diagnosed with tongue cancer at 35, dead at 37, leaving behind a 3 and a 6 year old.
If we only had someone to tell her to continue pushing for a diagnoses she might be alive.
