We went last year when our DS was 9 months old. He was also on formula.
I called Goodings outside of Disney & found out they only carried the 32oz cans of formula. Which was fine for in the hotel, but since formula cannot be out of the fridge for more then 2 hours I was concerned.
I was silly enough to go & buy enough of the nursettes & 8oz pop top cans of formula for our entire trip! And I packed them! Crazy I know, but I did it.
When we got to FL we spent the first few nights off site (DH was there for a conference). So we went to the grocery store to buy enough diapers & baby food for the trip. I found Goodings is WAY overpriced for diapers.
So we went to Walgreens, where I found the diapers for cheaper. And wouldn't you know, they had the 6oz nursettes & 8oz pop top cans!
Once we moved onsite I had everything I needed so I did not have to go to the store again. But if you dont have a car, some of the towncar companies will give you a free stop at a grocery store when you use them to pick you up at the airport.
The ready to feed formula in the pop top cans & nursettes are great for in the parks! You dont have to worry about keeping them cold. And when baby wants some, just pop a can & pour it in a bottle! Just remember to rinse out the bottle after baby is done (otherwise the smell can get bad in the heat!).
I bought a bottle brush and a small thing of soap & would wash the bottles & sippy cups every night back in the hotel room.
For the most part I made my DS's baby food, but the jars did come in handy at the parks. Also most of the sit down resturants had something good, bland & mushy I could feed DS.
If I had thought about it I would have probably shipped some of our stuff to the hotel before us. But I carried it all on the plane! The bag was HEAVY, but on the plus side, coming home I had plenty of room for stuff we bought...LOL!
