I can do the passports for the MAW thing as well. I'm a designer in the disign forum & would be glad to coordinate things in there, if that's what you guys want to do. I also have autograph covers in my photobucket that I've made. The link is in my sig

McCalls 5677. Isn't that cute! It's one of the new patterns.
Wow that is cute. Sophie would be gorgeous lounging on that bed.

quick quest.? for the Big Give, have they received some of the outfits yet? I am dying to see pictures. just wondering?
She has some pictures on her trip report. But I don't know how to link to it.

Here is my finished Pettiskirt. I think I might attempt another one, now that I have a working ruffler. I used a stretch chiffon from a theatre art store that Lisazoe posted. The second is twirl factor. Color might look odd, she has on a brown skort underneath. I do want to get her a pair of petti pants to go underneath.

This is the skirt I made for it. It's not finished yet. I'm thinking of putting a bandana print ruffle on it (that will co-ord with the top). The second isn't a very good shot of the fabric. It's mickey as a cowboy. We're going to the BarBQue.

And since everyone already did thier Dance Recitial. We just had ours last weekend. Not good shots. My camera is starting to bite the dust. Kirsta is second to left in the Cowboy outfit and on the far right in the fairy outfit.

I was just at Walmart, they have a new Tink Fairie fabric. Of course I got a couple of yards. Lord knows what I'll do with it.

AND, I still have a slant shank ruffler if anyone needs one. I'd be glad to send it.

I love your pettiskirt it looks so cute with the skirt. I haven't seen that Mickey fabric before where did you get it. Great job on the pettiskirt. I wish I could use your ruffler but I don't have a slant shank machine.

I know this first family has autograph books, but would you mind doing passports for them? They're leaving very quick (early August). If you think you might can help, that would be great!

Do you think that there is time to get the family shirts for this trip as well? It would be great if you can work with all of the talented DISers on the Creative DISigns board!

Sewing and creative idiot here...I thought I'd pop in to ask where is the best place to buy custom shirts for our upcoming trip? I, of course, waited till the last minute. Etsy, Ebay, anywhere else?

Thanks everyone!

Maryann- I am comfortable saying this because I don't have any photos posted, so I don't have anything to sell/gain. You could always pm the people who post photos you like and see if they sell...

:hyper:  :cloud9: I became an Aunt again today to a beautiful baby girl she is 8lbs 7oz and 20.5 in long. I also happen to be making my girls their Princess outfits for disney, today and I have about a half a yard of fabric, I was thinking a summer dress for lil' miss Abigail. Does anyone have ideas? Here is what I have left over.

Great job on the pettiskirt! Love all the colors! the skirt is cute too!

NO MORE SIMBAS!!! :rotfl2: Then again, if Sawyer decides that he loves Simba, I'd probably crank out another one. I may choose a different picture, though! Thank you for the compliment, and the :moped:
:rotfl2: I knew you would appreciate the moped!!!! hahahaha

I have a confession to make!

I've been in a sewing slump. Like everything I made was coming out really, really bad. I've still not finished my round 1 Big Give outfit. I made the skirt 3 times. All of them went in the trash. SO, today, I knew I had to try again. And I'm proud to report that I THINK MY SLUMP IS OVER! FINALLY the applique is as I want it to be. FINALLY I think I have the right version of the pattern that I need. The skirt will be finished tonight. The top will be finished by this weekend. I can sew again! WOO HOO!
Hey Shannon.....I bet they were not as bad as you thought but I can't blame ya really, I am the same way. I did Isabelle's shirt twice because I didn't like the 1st one...it was too big and weird looking. hahahaha. Anyway, I am so excited to see your BIG GIVE outfit!!!! You go girl!!!!

Just wanted to add that I went over and checked out your designs and they are amazing!!!

I *NEED* that Marie fabric! SO cute! Where did you get it???

Re MAW BIG GIVE #1: I will commit to buying the shirts for a round of matching t-shirts for this first MAW Big Give family if someone else wants to take care of the designing and printing aspect. I don't have a lot to offer in the creative realm just yet, but buying shirts I can do. :)

you make pettis :worship: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. Thankfully you all can't see it too close!:rotfl2: It was my first, and part way through, my ruffler broke. And I coudln't get another one that was compatible. I must have bought 2 local, tried to fix mine. Bought a couple off :wizard: and one broke in peices. What a nightmare. Nana recommended trying an old Singer ruffler. And that one did the trick. But it didn't come until AFTER I finished the petti.

I was trying to go for the square dance look for the Bar B Que.

:wizard: I do alot of hunting there. I just saw another cowboy print, but I controlled myself. Can you use a short shank?

I give up. Does anyone have a Singer 7422? I am looking at the manual and can't figure out what kind of shank I have.

I *believe* the first family has passports coming already. Someone said they were interested in doing it on the disign board, so I gave her the link to the passport. I will double check. I know there are already quite a few disigns posted in the "BIG GIVE" thread, but let me see what exactly is in there.

:rotfl2: I knew you would appreciate the moped!!!! hahahaha

We're thinking of taking DS for a birthday surprise to the Holiday Inn in Maumee (it has an indoor water park). We're driving from Toronto, and it's about a 4 hour drive, so we want it to be worth the drive. Anyone been here? Are there any great fabric stores in Toledo? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks so much:)

Stephanie

Just wanted to let everyone know that I took Heather's suggestion and contacted mom. One thing she mentioned is that Hannah is REALLY into Nemo (I don't know if that is mentioned in her PreTrip Report...I forget) and that they are also going to Sea World. If anyone has an Sea World outfit ideas...I'm sure that they would appreciate those too. I let her know that I would send along some Sea World scrapbooking supplies

UPDATE for anyone doing scrapbook stuff for mom. She is doing 12X12 books and would like ANYTHING (premade pages, elements, store bought supplies) for the trip since she doesn't have a ton of time to work on scrapbooks.

Hey stephanie,
Guess where I live!

I live about 20 minutes from the holiday inn.

The good news is that about a 3 minute drive you will be at a JoAnn fabrics. It is a newer store, and pretty big. They are on the same street.

The waterpark is nice. The just built it. Everything is new. We have been once. They also have a website.

Are you driving over the bridge/tunnle and taking I-75 thru detroit?

There is also a hancock fabrics about a 25 minute drive. If you are interested let me know and I will get the directions from the hotel to the hancock fabrics for you. You also have a movie theater across the street and down a ways from the hotel.

Let me know if I can help you in any way.
