When Drew was a baby, I was really worried that Riley would be very envious of her because she didn't have to deal with being sick and going to the doctor and getting poked and all of that other yucky stuff that Riley has to do on a regular basis. I was so upset. I worried a lot about how that would affect their sister relationship. A very wise gal in my Bible study said "Drew is going to be the one who is jealous. Riley is going to grow up know how to deal with her stuff, but Drew is going to see all of this attention that Riley gets and feel left out."

I had never thought of that. From that day on we have tried our best to keep the girls from feeling left out, but honestly sometimes it is hard. Riley has been sick since April (this go-round) and over that time I have witnessed Drew become more and more winey and clingy. Obviously I need to do better to make her feel included. About a month ago she asked me if Riley was going to die. I felt horrible. I had just assumed that she knew what was going on and didn't ever really sit down and explain it to her.

So now that I have written my book.......... I think that this is such a great thing to do for these families. These families have so much to deal with. I would really hate for us to add the guilt of leaving out the other child/children to the mix. I can't even begin to tell you what a gift it is going to be for these mommies and daddies to treat every single one of their kids like a little prince or princess for a few days.

I agree with Lisa. I would rather give 3 families 3 outfits each rather than give 1 family enough outfits to fill their luggage.

Thanks for all the advice on the pattern. We have decided to go with a round neck top that I bought for me. She can fit the small so I can use it for both of us. If she didn't have such big ****s she would fit the XXS!

We will take a trip to wally world tomorrow and find some cheap stretch knit to make the top.

Thanks again!

Sewzannes (online) has great knits and they always have stuff on sale.

We
ve stayed at CBR and Coronado Spring and my DH and kids don't want to stay anywhere other than Coronado Springs EVER unless they get a savanah room at AKL.:rotfl: Coronado has the larges waterslide of all the moderate resorts. The pool is awesom, it has this big mayan temple that water flows down into the pool. If you are there when they open the pool they do some kind of "water" ceremony and dance with the kids to get the water to flow down. The playground has big statue pieces buried in the sand. Dh and DS just go on the slide over and over until they wear themselves out and then rest in the pool or a lounge chair until they regain some energy and it's right baack to the slide. I tried to book AKL this trip but DH said unless I booked a savanah room there's no point to go anwhere other than Corondado Springs.

HTH!! ...t.

Thank you my dear.

I didn't know that there was a disboutique board all it's own!!! Checking that out now!

Me either!! I just got done sewing myself a shirt - but will have to wait a few more posts before I can put up pics! Is it at ten posts that you can then post pictures?

Wow! I'm surprised that anyone remembered those sets...it was ages ago.

I am kind of known for my memory! My sisters can tell stories from our childhood and I can tell you what everyone was wearing at the time. Just don't ask me to remember names. I can be looking right at a person when they say it and by the time they stop talking I have forgotten!:confused3

Yes, it's 10 posts! And it' perfectly alright to do a countdown!

I'm the exact same way. I can look at a person and tell you everything that has ever happened in their life, but I can't remember their name. It's very frustrating to me.

I was playing around with an image that I liked...would this work for a Logo, or were you all looking for something with just words...

WOW! That's AWESOME! Do you know if it is the right size to go in a siggy? Do you think it can be? I LOVE it!

I've never found knits in the Wal Mart fabric department but I do sometimes check the racks in the adult sections, especially the plus sizes. I'm usually making something for a child so most pieces can be cut out of a larger adult sized tee. It's hard to find cut knit prints locally so I'm trying to think "outside the box". I've even begun checking the section with sheets because some of the jersey knit sets are really cute prints. :rolleyes1

JERSEY KNIT SHEETS! That's genius! And they're pretty easy to find right now because of kids going off to college. Now I'm gonna have to make a trip to Target!

I know I saw somewhere on this board that one (or maybe more) talented person(s) made autograph books. Could someone please tell me where I may find those instructions or at least tell me which page I need to go to.
THANKS a BUNCH. :confused3

Check on the Creative DISigns board. I think there are several there.

I got the pic in my siggy, does anyone know how to make it clickable to link?

Dear Friends,

My name is Bill. I am one of the founders of the Wish Trippers Unite! web site. I hope that I have come to the right place. If not, please PM me the link.

On behalf of all of the present and future Wish Trip Families, I want to thank you for your love and kindness to our friend Heather and her family. You are such amazing people. May you be richly blessed for your kindness to these kids and families who have suffered so much in their young lives.

Wish Trips to Orlando can vary a bit, but the typical trip is 6 nights and 7 days at Give Kids the World Village or a Disney Resort if the village is full. This usually includes a 3-Day Park Hopper Pass to WDW, a 2-Day Park Hopper Pass to US and IOA, and one day at SW. The first and last of the 7 days usually are taken up by travel, orientation and check-in, check-out. That means 5 days of theme park visits. If the kids stay at Give Kids the World Village, then they will have Village tee shirts to wear one day. Laundry facilities are available so outfits could be worn more than once.

Anything they wear that helps identify them as Wish Trip Kids is helpful to Cast Members at WDW or Team Members at Universal/ IOA.

If you want to know more about Wish Trips, check out the links in my signature. Again, thank you for your kind hearts.

Bill
