DH's friend keeps asking us to buy things for him and his family, he will pay us. The problem is he wants large items that I really don't want to carry around and try to get them on the plane. He is being pretty insistant, {like a pit bull} I tried to tell him that we couldn't do his shopping for him but DH is much nicer than I am.

My question is Does anyone know if we buy item from Downtown Disney Stores can the stores ship them for us?

Absolutely! and if you ship out of FL...you won't be charged sales tax -- and if you're buying at WoD, and you have an AP, you can get a 10% on purchases!

We had a sericel shipped home for us and it was painless (except for the actual purchase, of course). However, if your friend wants multiple items, that would be a problem. He'd have to pony up the bucks for each individual thing for shipment. Disney isn't going to package several things together for one shipment.

So yes, you can do it easily one item at a time.

We just shipped home last week. Up to 100 dollars was 10.95 for shipping and over 100 was 15.95. I don't think that was just for Illinois either as I overheard them telling other people this too. We haven't gotten our stuff yet but I'm sure it will be any day now.........

Have done this many times, many gifts, many different addresses....they package well, and will replace if item is broken (I;ve never received a broken item yet.....but they will replace it if it is)....Much better than bringing it home and having it break while your transporting!...and then you have more space in our luggage for things you want!!!!!

okay, now that we've got the shipping handled, does anyone know if I can have one of those Turkey Legs shipped out? DH's bf, was down there in April, wanted to get one, an never did....he's talked about the smell since then.....anyone have any ideas? Need response before Wednesday, as we're leaving for our next trip down then....thanks!

Why does anyone need to do this anymore when the guy can call Merchandising himself at 407.363.6200? It seems to me he's trying to avoid the shipping costs and isn't concerned about the inconvenience to you. I'd very nicely pass along the number...you're on vacation.

I agree about being on vacation and not shopping for anyone else - I will give DH's friend this phone number. We looked on Disney Direct and the items he wanted are not on that site.

BTW - He would pay shipping!
