When booking a package does everyone in the party have to buy identical length park passes?

For example on a seven day trip with 4 people can i buy 2 5 day passes, 1 7 day parkhopper and 1 10 day no expiration?

if not can i buy 4 5 day passed and upgarde only the other 2 to what i want whenI get there?

You must buy the package with all tickets the same but you could just buy the minimum needed for 1 person for the package and later upgrade the others as long as you upgrade within 14 days of first use.:goodvibes

Book the package with the lowest ticket acceptable to everyone in the room, so for you everyone has 5 day tickets. They must all have the same ticket type and length for the package. Even if you call later to change tickets they must all be the same. You upgrade the tickets at Disney, can do it right at the check in desk or resort guest services or at the park ticket windows or park guest services anytime within 14 days of first use.

Once you check in and are actually at the resort your tickets are under local control and can be individually changed. Before that Walt Disney Travel Comany controls the reservation, and all ticket components must be the same for all persons in the room.

I always book the minimum base required. Then I upgrade them on site after check in and pay them with my DVR points or gift cards.
