Hi,
Have a package for 4 (2adults, 2 children 14,10yrs) at the GC which includes tickets and transportation to Universal Studios. One more child age 14 may be coming along. The package is already paid in full and within the 30 days of travel. Would like to bring the extra child w/o adding him to the package so we won't incur the change fee. Can we buy the ticket and transportation to Universal for him when we are at the hotel instead of ahead of time. I'm not sure if they even do that?

Thanks!

Yes you can buy the tickets. Not sure about transportation??

Hi, fellow Tacoman.

The change fee is likely minimal (is it 25?), and often, if you are *adding* a person (and cost) they will waive it.

The person will have to be on the register for the room, so they can have a keycard and get admittance to Magic Mornings (until/unless things change, hotel guests get the MMs during their stay and that is done with the keycard).

I agree with the add-on fee being most likely waived, but if you are not sure, then I would not deal with the add-on to the package since you may end up paying for an extra person who is not there. The add-on is only 14, so most likely will not have a key card. Usually one person can get in with up to 6 in their party with their hotel charge slip. I would call Disney and ask who they booked the Universal tour with (most likely Gray Line) then you can book direct with the tour company so you should not have any issues. Or you can just ask at the desk of the GC at check in and I'm sure they would be able to help you out.

But they don't use the charge slip anymore. Now it's all in the keycards, and each person gets one with their name on it. And that must be presented, along with a ticket/AP, to get in for MM. When they used the charge slips, it was easy to do such a thing, but now...not so much.

Really??? So even kids get key cards? That seems a bit overboard to me, plus one (or in our family's case 3)more card to keep track of. Sorry, for the out of date info. Can you tell its been a couple years since we stayed at a Disney hotel? :love:HoJo:love:

I still say call the GC and ask if you can add a person to your room at check in rather than adding to your package if at all possible.

The "key to the magic" is tied to your ressie and everyone gets a card and from what I saw last August, everyone's "key card" is checked.
