P&P Party tickets

We have given up on hoping for P&PP while we will be there, although it would be a nice suprise if they end up having one, since they are great. We have gone the past 2 years and it is well worth the extra $$.

At this point, I would just be happy if they would change the park hours to a little later, having MK close at 8:00 or 9:00 is kind of bumming me out!

That is not a bit unusual for that time of year.

REGULAR (basic, standard, year-round, whatever) park hours are:
Magic Kingdom 9 AM to 6 PM
Animal Kingdom 9 AM to 5 PM
Disney Hollywood Studios 9 AM to 8 PM
Epcot 9 AM to 9 PM (specifically Future World 9-7; World Showcase 11-9)

EVERYTHING else is EXTENDED, or seasonal, hours.

I thought the standard closing for MK was 7:00pm. It's usually never earlier than that unless there is a special event.

Is there a possibility that with no hours released for May or June yet... that we could see some P&P nights?

I keep guessing why no hours have been released yet for May... the basics run through your head first, attendance, resort occupency, expected crowds, etc... but Disney has been known to change hours with as little as a 2 week notice due to those factors... so what gives... party dates perhaps? :ssst:

For what it's worth, I called yesterday to check on P&PP status for the early part of 2009. The CM I spoke with said that, according to the "current information" she had in front of her at the time, all planned parties through April were cancelled. She said it was possible that some might be scheduled for May-summer.

I know, everyone is getting a different answer from different CM's, and we need to take it with a grain of salt, but I just thought I'd share.

As for us, I am going to book a Wishes Cruise since it looks like we won't have a P&PP when we go.

I was under the impression that we probably won't be seeing May/June hours until they get the new reservation system up and running and that's why they are behind in posting them. I could be wrong though as everybody gets different information from every CM they talk to.

all orlando area theme parks are being cut to bone for the first quarter of 2009, so I can see the parties being cancelled. actually I would love to see something set for like march and april and instead of being called pirate and princess parties, theme it towards spring and college breaks and call it mickeys spring bash. even have a version of the easter parade like they used to have and have dance parties themed like beach bashes. they could dress the characters like what they wear on castaway cay, and do shows with a beach boys theme. i think kids as well as parents would love it. I mean even the kids could help the fairies with spring flowers and such. it also would go along with flower and garden festival at epcot.

This is the 1st time in the past 5 years that MK is reguarly closing at 8pm every night (during Mardi Gras week).

It will be interesting to see if they change times, becuase that will mean reservations are up. The aggrivating thing is that even though reservations might be up, they will still reduce hours to save costs.

I would prefer the PPP. ;)

I know it isn't gospel, but the touringplans.com website is still listing P&P parties as going ahead

I've sent them an e-mail about it

I think at this point the PP&P Is out for 2009,you never know about the summer months If the econmy picks up?,we are at WDW at the end of March and yes we were looking forward to It,but stuff happens. We are just looking forward to Its return In 2010!!:cool1: ,It will give them a whole year to make it even that Much better.I have to agree with another post about having later closeings,I also wish they had maybe one more EMH night at MK Instead during the week, but who knows maybe they will?.

I have an email into them as well! ;) I also asked if they had any insight into the May hours issue. I will post when I get a response.

According to their blog section they have a "reliable" source that says the dates are solid. :confused3

The May hours are not "late."

They should be posted on or about Feb. 1
(that's when they are "due" to be posted, approx. 90 days in advance.)

Any posting earlier would be an unlikely and unexpected bonus.

Thanks Robo!

I know that they are not "late." I was just hoping touringplans would have a better idea of "exactly" when they would be out. ;)

But what I REALLY want is an official word one way or the other from Disney regarding P&PP! :thumbsup2

The dates WERE solid.

The parties thru May have been cancelled. I'd be really REALLY surprised to find out otherwise at this point in time.

Go to touringplans.com. Then on the left hand side click on Crowd Calendar. They are listed from February on. Also, if you go to the left hand side and click on the blog section it is discussed in there too. I hope this help! ;)

If they were having them in February, the tickets would be on sale by now.
