P&P Party tickets

I received the exact same response as Ang Park to an email I sent. I admit I was disappointed.

I never got a response two weeks and holding...

I am not trying to get anyone's hopes up BUT called today and spoke with VERY nice CM Elizabeth. She said they just received email that P&PP were on but dates were not released yet. She even checked with her supervisor to make sure they were not cancelled because I told her I had heard that. Supervisor confirmed they have not received anything about them being cancelled for the spring. Not sure if this helps at all but wanted you to know. I called to reserved 2nd reservation at CRT just in case they don't have a the parties. I will cancel the other and keep the one that works with my schedule! UGH! I know that is bad! SORRY! Just so hard when they have not posted hours. I asked about May hours too and she could only tell me they would be up soon. UGH! NO HELP! Well happy planning to everyone! Good luck with reservations too!

I really think she just didn't want to confirm anything that hasn't been officially announced. I've heard from a very high up MK exec that the parties are canceled at the very least through June and more than likely for the entire year. I swear to you they are telling CMs this! You will probably see a very quiet announcement about it in mid-January. I know you are only going to take what those of us who are telling you its canceled say with a grain of salt, but it really is a done deal! Good luck with your planning!

What I don't understand is why Disney just doesn't say cancelled and be done with it. I am a true believer in communication and I think it would serve Disney better if they would just inform the public of this decision since they've told the CMS. I'm hugely disappointed and scheduled much of our trip around this event which would have been our last night at Disney.

Not that I've seen, with the exception of the Pirate and Princess half Marathon.

Therefore I don't see how something can be cancelled that was never actually "scheduled" in the first place.

I understand that many here loved these parties, but all must remember that DISers are a very small portion of Disney World attendees. Many people that I know of were upset that Disney was closing down the parks and charging an extra $40 or so to get in and enjoy a special party. They saw it as a way Disney was just trying to squeeze more money out of them.

I personally am not a fan of the P&P party, but do enjoy the Halloween and Christmas parties.

That was the original "projected" completion date, but like all other things Disney-server related, it is not on schedule.

We can be hopeful, but don't hold your breath.

Umm..

MOUNTAIN of salt. Even if it gets turned on 12/22 it will not work. It's the Disney IT shop. They don't believe in programming or testing, they hope for "Pixie Dust"

The website had the MP&PP page up since the last lot of parties ended (June '08) with "Check back soon for dates in 2009". Instead of just stating that the parties were discontinued, they just removed the webpage and hoped no-one would notice!

Well, if there won't be any parties, guess I'll be giving my extra $$$ to Universal to see a Blue Man Group show instead.

The only thing I read was on touringplans.com. They have a new blog section. It states that they have a reliable source to the P&PP's and are not removing them from their crowd calendar. Not quite sure what they know but check it out!
