Yes, this snow stinks. Tomorrow is snow mixed with rain for us.

Stichfans, the only reason DH is excited about the prospect of snow is becasue he wants to try the new snowblower! Our neighbor took the liberty of snowblowing our drive & walk yesterday. The nerve!!

I appreciate being able to check in each day to learn the (non)status of P&PP.

Yes, we all thought with the rumored dates being passed around the internet that there were going to be Pirate and Princess Parties for 2009. Alas, it seems that we were wrong. The parties, as of right now, will not be happening in 2009.

Magically Speaking is co-written by a lady whose brother is/was on the Mom's Panel. Sounds like they share information.

I am planning a May 2009 trip. I called last night (sorry I didn't post sooner) and spoke with a CM regarding the p&pp. She told me they had been cancelled for the winter months. However, she had dates for April and May. The May dates she gave were May 2, 9, 16, 21, 26 and 31st. They don't jive with any of the dates on the other websites (like allearsnet.com) but that is what she said. I hope this helps for anyone going in April or May. I am sorry I didn't get the April dates. I was very excited to hear about the May dates. We went last April and had a blast! It is worth every penny! We walked onto every ride!!! Now, we just need May park hours!

I spoke with a cast member through the dining line last night. I didn't really understand what she was saying, but it was something about the winter parties are just cancelled due to their new reservation system (?) but they will have some later.
Also, she told me that you won't be able to make ADR's past 3/22 until mid-January. And she said that Disney told them no one was allowed to take vacation on the dates around that time in January

Those dates look to be one day later than the original dates. So... here's hoping for April 2nd

Just out of curiosity, did you know most of the 2008 Moms Panelists are DISers?

Same with the new 2009 panel.

Yes, I was aware that many of the mom's panelists are Disers.

Look, bashing the mom's panel isn't going to make things better.

I'm not sure if your comments were directed at me or not , but I was only trying to remind Disers not to give up hope and to keeping wishing for MP&PP.

I'm sure none of the Mom's Panel folks have taken offence to me stating the truth, but if they have, no ill will was meant.

I was told to by a CM yesterday... the tickets for the & party is not out. This CM said they give the CMs a 24 hour heads up so it won't be today.

...and she told me "Yes!". So, she starts taking my info, and verified the date (May 20th)...I was so excited!! Then its...."Ut Oh"..."I don't think they've put them in our system yet".
She was very nice though!

The CM I spoke with stated she had a list in front of her with the dates, but said that there is an issue with the system and they are not uploaded so that I can purchase them...she said they keep being told they are trying to get them in there, so any day now.

THIS morning, the CM said they weren't sure if they were going to have P & P Party next year!!

I was told by the CM that they have the dates in front of them. She did confirm my June date.

Two CMs I spoke with previously stated there is no mention of PPPs for 2009. It appears that there is conflicting info from CM to CM (big shocker there), but I have been told by 5 or 6 CMs that they have the dates, they just cannot sell the tickets yet.

As a matter of fact, I have had 2 CMs offer me tickets when changing my reservation only for me to inform them that they cannot sell them to me yet. In both cases, they confirmed by saying the date is listed as good for booking, but the information is not uploaded in the system for ticket creation.

I Certainly when DH phoned about this he was told they had the dates but the tickets weren't on the system yet, so I'm still keeping my hopes up for April 1st.

When I called last night to book a tour the cm told me to call in two days about the p&p party, so maybe tomorrow or Monday.

CM was very nice. She actually chatted with me and seemed to not want to get off the phone. She said that the CMs are actually starting to wonder what is going on.

It seems like you call a lot and although there must be tons of CM answering the phones, chances are you'll eventually get one you've talked to before. Have you ever asked to speak to a particularly helpful CM? Do they transfer you to a requested CM?

have spoken to the same CMs several times. almost each CM when I call tell me that the tickets were supposed to be loaded into their system... I have had several others tell me that they are now hearing there will be no MPPPs.

I heard from a very reliable CM last July they were considering not doing MPPP this year.

the CM I talked to was involved with the "stock" of the partys....special merchandise for them

the CM i spoke with last night told me there would be one during my stay on May 25.

I just called, and they said they are still having the Partys, just haven't started selling the tickets yet....I mentioned how the hours had been changed, and she said they could be changed back again.

I asked the CM about the dates not actually ever being posted on the Disney Website and the times being changed if that meant anything. She swore they still will have the party.

I posted in another thread, and the CM I spoke to last night. Stated they will have a 2009 party and they the dates. He also said the ticket prices are very good.

CM: No, I'm sorry, I don't have any information on the sale of tickets. I know that they will be having the Pirate & Princess party, but have no information about when tickets will go on sale.

Me: So, you do think they will have them in 2009 though?

CM: OH YES, WE DEFINITELY WILL HAVE THEM. We've been told that. STARTING IN FEBRUARY.

Me: Oh, ok , great! Do you know when ticket information may become available?

CM: Oh, no, we don't know anything about that. They didn't tell us.

CM today... actually gave me all the dates previously mentioned on the allears

CM says they are given a 2-3 days heads up and she wasn't given that yet so if I want I don't have to call back until a couple more days.

the CM told me that there was a P&P party scheduled for when we would be there (we arrive March 11 and the party was supposed to be for March 12). She told me that the parties are supposed to begin on Feb 20?

The CM today told me that her guess is the tickets won't go on sale until after Thanksgiving. She said chances are not until early December. mmshe said the dates are in their system on the computer they just aren't able to sell the tickets yet.

I was switched to 5 different apartments and finally ended up with Magic Kingdom entertainments. A CM named Jeffery told me that it is on their board that all parties are canceled for the beginning of 2009. The first party scheduled will be for April 1st.
...At that point I got the impression he was just trying to say anything to get rid of me.

I asked about the P&P party on June 3rd cause I wanted to do our CRT dinner on the same day. The CM said it was still happening.

Ok I Finally accept my fate no Disney this trip looks like a universal studios only trip. PPP was going to be my Disney "fix" this trip. Maybe I'll go have dinner @ the Contemporary and watch wishes. I was funn dreamin' anyway! Thanks ya'll

But then they have CM's giving dates on the phone and telling people they are still on. If they are cancelled, they need to filter word down to their employees.
