P.O.T.C. On Stranger Rides! The Missing Chapter,,Final Thoughts,, Preview Thoughts.

Hope your birthday and thanksgiving was happy. We love MSEP. We grew up on it at DL, and our kids did too. I think those Spectro creatures are creepy!

And that stinks about the car. A few years ago, we had the dealership charge us $2500 for what I'm pretty sure was a bogus repair, at least to some extent. 2 days later, a jerk in a pickup totaled it when our DD was driving it. Guess how much the insurance co. gave us for replacement? $2500. It zeroed out the charges, but left us down a car. Bibbidi bobbidi BS indeed!

Knock knock,

knocking on heaven's door.

If you're referring to the GNR version... :crazy2:

By the way, am I the only one,,,,,,,
this really bothers?

yes. Oh, wait. What're we talking about?

You tell the clerk you want 20 bucks on pump six, you hand over the twenty.
It takes about a minuted and a half to pump in 19.40 worth of gas, then, the pump goes into super slow mo operation mode as if it's ticking off liquid gold, and ticks off the last 60 cents, one stinking penny at a time. I wonder how many people get tired of waiting and hang the handle back up with 30 cents or so left on the counter because they get ticked off and don't want to wait?

Nah. I pump my own gas and I don't pay up front, so it doesn't slow down 'til I tell it to or it's full… or I’ve pushed the envelope a little too far and it’s flowing down the side of the car.

Yah, the gas isn't the only one who get's ticked off at the end.

:lmao: Nice segue... no matter how many times I see it, even though I know it's pronounced seg-way, it still looks like seg-U. South East Georgia University?

Breaking news,, how wonderfull, the Bears win their fifth in a row yesterday, now Cutler needs thumb surgery and is probably out for the year, our hopes and dreams now lie with somebody named Caleb! Spiffy, absolutely spiffy.

Oh, and his last name is Haney, as in, Mr. Haney! Marvelous, maybe we can get Oliver to do the long snapping since he went down for the year, also.

_______________________________________________

My team lost last year’s league leading rusher and was replaced by a guy we cut in training camp… this happened about midway through the season. Turns out he can run as well if not better. So how’d that turn out? 1st place in the division, a division title and playing this weekend for the Canadian championship! Whoo, Hoo!

I guess it's always best to deal with the Beast directly.

Next time find a vet qualified in euthanasia.

He then turned back into the counter guy we originally dealt with, and with cheeriness in his voice, he tole me the car is ready.

Uh, oh. It’s never a good thing when the car guy sounds cheery. I think it means they’re happy ‘cause now they can buy more toys.

It was, 1670 dollars!!!!!:sick::headache::scared1:

Ouch! That bites.

How come there's no cute little smiley of someone slashing their wrists? Or having orange Kool-Aid poured into a cup for them?

Wellll…. I looked and found lots that met the bill… but none of them were even remotely appropriate for the DIS.

Want to guess who's rest of the day was shot?

Ralph Nader? Did I win? What’d I win!

I took a couple of pictures, and tried to look at this with what would have, should have been an open mind. If not for the phone call, this is really nice over here. Cell phones ruin everything!

I refuse to be a slave to a phone; cell or otherwise. If I’m eating dinner and the phone rings, I don’t even flinch. That’s what answering machines and voice mail are for, right?

here it's mostly trees, water and sand with a poolside bar and walking paths leading from and to it.

Or was it to and from it?

To and fro, ebb and flow, don’tcha know?

The pool has a slide, a pretty good one at that, and waterfalls and fountains. It's not a big pool, but it went nicely as a compliment to the one we were just at.

Try the slide?

Lava would have been more comfortable to walk on.

Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey (Handey… not Haney). ... If you ever drop your keys into a river of molten lava, let 'em go, because, man, they're gone.

Oh yeah, pictures:

Don’t look. Don’t look. Remember what happened last time. Oh, shoot! I looked! … Phew, that wasn’t too bad.

We put our clothes back over our wet suits and headed back to the monorail and over to the TTC where she called them up and said come get us. They said it will now take about a half hour before they can pick us up which is not improving my mood at all.

Yeah. Ya gotta love it when businesses expect you to be inconvenienced and to pay for the privilege, to boot!

Believe me, I really got hot there, wasn't easy to keep cool.

A.C. not working? :rolleyes1

His explanations for the extra cost was that first of all, he didn't give the estimate, it was from the guy in the shop..

Then he said I approved the charge originally to which I replied, "Ok, show me my signature saying that," to which he just stared at me in stupid confusion…

Then he said the charge now includes tax, which wasn't in the estimate, and a "Shop fee" which wasn't in the estimate. "So, you gave me an estimate and did't include everything?" He just ignored this…

Shop fee was 120 dollars alone, this includes the use of rags for the mechanics, the use of lighting and soap for the mechanics to wash up afterward,,,,,and the use of the hoist,,,I'm not kidding.

Use of the hoist??? Are you kidding me?
“Tell you what, I’ll give you a roll of paper towels, a bar of soap, lend you my flashlight and use of my jack and you remove the $120 fee. But I’m charging you a jack rental fee of $11.99/hour.”
What a steaming load of cr**.

Then he told me that 25 bucks is for fixing the flat tire, too, you may have bought the tires from Goodyear two weeks ago, but warranty doesn't include taking out a nail you picked up on the road.

That was when I really lost it.

I don’t have a bigger head exploding smiley.

"Ok, tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm just going to waive the tire repair, you won't have to pay anything for that."

Okay, we destroyed your Armani suit and Italian shoes, but don’t worry, we’ll pay for the shoelaces.

"Oh, is that what waive means?"

What? Oh, waive.

Nevermind.
"What I want to know, now, is if this valve was replaced or not!"

"Oh, I'm sure it was."

Aka the kiss of death.

"Well, I can't get him out here cuz he's not here today, but I remember now him fixing it."

Ooh! A new game! Count the number of lies in one sentence. I count three! Where’s my prize?

But right before I opend the door and left for good, I let it close and walked back up to the counter, with him eyeing me warrily:

I’m thinking of the theme from the good the bad and the ugly.

Tulee tulee loo, wha, wha, wha.

ka-ching, ka-ching, ka-ching (spurs striking the floor)

I made sure he was watching me as I carefully grabbed

The sheriff’s badge off his shirt?!?!

one of his stack of business cards that are sitting on the counter,

That’ll work, too.

Let him worry about that, if he has a conscience.

Doubtful.

The mug station closes at 7, so much for getting our mixers down there, now if we want to fill the mugs up, we have to go "over to the 5 th floor of BLT, walk over to the Contemporary which then makes you on the fourth floor,,,,,,,yadayadayada.

Last time, we stayed at ASMU in Country Fair (way at the back of the resort). I’m wondering if your walk was maybe even longer?

"Because it wouldn't be a door then," I triumphantly said, "It would be ajar."

Oh, man. Not again! I say that all the time, too.

"Your greatly mistaken if you think your JARring wit is aDOORable."

I gave her the required sideways glance of acknowledgement and reached for the door.

 Way to go, Smidgy!

Barty Crouch would have died of old age if he was kept here.
No way he could have escaped and gotten Cedrick killed when they both reached for the portkey, which would mean that Pattinson would not have been free to get to go on and play Edward, which also means that then Lautner wouldn't have a reason to constantly take off his shirt and the world would have been a much better place!

If only! My two DDs had to go see the latest Twilight angst fest. I took them. That was a loooong 6 hours. What? It was only 2 hours long? Hunh. Could’ve sworn it was longer. You know it’s a good movie when you spend more time looking at the exit sign then you do the screen… no… I’m not kidding.

But those 20 seconds can feel really long!

Have I got a movie for you!

(You know, I just had this image of a Frisbee thrown from way up here taking on nuclear velocity capabilities and traveling over to the end of Main Street and taking off Walt's head as if Oddjob had thrown it!) sorry, my mind does things like that

Only to be retrieved by P**** Galore.

Go ahead. I dare you.

But she got me past it by bringing back up what we talked about just two days ago, no point in staying if we can't enjoy ourselves, so, ok, yep, Icandoit, no problem, donl't worry, I put this behind me.

Easy Pea.......:upsidedow

Not if you’ve got a kidney stone, it ain’t so easy.

There was even an extended Grim Grinning Ghosts thing going on with what I'm almost positve was voice imitators or impressionists, including your "ghost Host" who died quite some time ago, I believe.

Well…. Of course. He wouldn’t be your ghost host then, would he? He’d just be your host.

Or, the rooster crows, whichever comes first.

And I’m half way through watching the Patrick Swayze episode.

So, have we made enough sacrifices at the altar for the Beast?
Has enough blood been spilled, can we relax now?

What do you think?

I seriously doubt it.

Great update! :goodvibes

Happy Birthday Nebo! Hope it was a good one! :goodvibes

That was exactly the thinking of the opening GM of the Grand. Got him fired in a hurry :rolleyes1He came from "THE OUTSIDE" His kids were brought up living in hotels. When asked where milk comes from, they said "room service". True story.

Also, the girls' idea of doing the dishes was putting the room service tray outside the door. Not happening working for Disney, LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving to Nebo and Smidgy and all fellow Neboites!

Thanks Marita, I always love heartwarming stories of people getting their comeuppance.

We had something similar happen, decided to get the car fixed after all and spent a ton of money only to have it totaled less then two weeks later.

So, I haven't been able to check in for about 2 weeks... My husband and I moved into our first house and we've been working and trying to fix random things in the house.
Not being a damsel in distress type, I've already fixed the leaky fridge... because the freezer drain was clogged... It took me probably 30 mins to chip all the ice away, but I was able to fix it myself!:)

Anyway, I'm back, I'm sorry about your car bill... that's just outrageous! I'm back.. but only until Wednesday when I fly to North Carolina... so... I'll be reading this weekend.

HAPPY (be lated) BIRHTDAY NEBO! :wizard:

Nah. I pump my own gas and I don't pay up front, so it doesn't slow down 'til I tell it to or it's full… or I’ve pushed the envelope a little too far and it’s flowing down the side of the car.

Thye don't trust us too much here anymore, most pumps are off unless you use a card, you have to go prepay first.

:lmao: Nice segue... no matter how many times I see it, even though I know it's pronounced seg-way, it still looks like seg-U. South East Georgia University?

Ah yes, SEG Fighting Mudpuppies, Go Puppies!

Try the slide?

Yes we did and it's one of Disney's better ones.

Last time, we stayed at ASMU in Country Fair (way at the back of the resort). I’m wondering if your walk was maybe even longer?

No, don't think anything is longer than from Country Fair to the food court, except maybe a building in the Ranchos to Pepper market.

Happy Birthday Nebo! Hope it was a good one! :goodvibes

Pssst, here's a secret,,, there's a lot to be said for mob mentality. Way back when I started the reports, somebody got it in their head to check my profile and my birthday was there, and I think it fell on Turkey Day that year. But even though Thanksgiving changes it's date every year,,, I guess,, my birthday does now too.

It's actually tomorrow, but don't tell anyone, least of all, Smidgy.

HAPPY (be lated) BIRHTDAY NEBO! :wizard:

I was up in your neck of the woods for Christmas... Illinois: Bollingbrook, Indiana: Gary, Dyer, Hammond

Congrats on the new house Becca, now you'll really know what it's like to be broke.

ok, gotta get to work here,,,,,hold my calls.

Nebo, sorry for not commenting on the latest chapter in my last post. Thanksgiving and today have had me hopping with cooking, baking, and at the insistence of the kids getting the house "Christmas-fied" today. Whew, I need a little Nebo break.

Your experience at CCC really strikes a chord with me, as I absolutely dread anything relating to vehicle repair. DH handles this stuff, but the cost and the "attitude" always cause me to slow burn. I thought you were awesome in your response to that jerk! :thumbsup2

I have to agree with you and Pkondz on the Twilight movie/s. They are awful, I mean really and truly awful. I must fess up and admit I have read the books. The books are okay, but to me are best suited to the aimed target of the books, teens. There were just times when I was reading the books that the mom in me just itched to help Bella. She just seemed to need parental involvement so badly. I read them because let's face it I will read just about anything. But the movies seem so one-dimensional, and in my opinion it is directly due to the acting. :sad2:

And I need to ask your opinion on Christmas events at Disney. Yep, the APs in my wallet are screaming again. We are thinking of taking a long weekend to Disney two weeks from this week. What are your thoughts on the must-sees of the season? We have never been for the holiday season so I would love to hear what you think.

And hey, ahead of the curve on your birthday! Happy early birthday Nebo!

And now back to my Christmas decorating. :santa:

Laura, not familiar with STS, but what city to you live in? Man, your mechanic sounds incredible!! Does he do adoptions?

I wish I could say Chicago area because I'm sure our mechanic would love you. The only problem we have with him is that he's a heavy smoker and if the car is there for any length of time we have to air it out. And lest you think I'm being judgy, I used to smoke so I know what you're going through in quitting. I passed the ten year mark but I'm still really sensitive to the smell. And I remember the rituals I had for smoking, like different breaks in the day, or after a meal, or morning coffee, or the car after work. That's the hardest thing to get past. You have to change your day. Hang in there. I don't miss it now and I really loved it back then.

Hmmm...I just went off on a tangent, didn't I?

happy birthday honey,, in one hour!!!

buzz if NOTHING else, you MUST see the Obournce Spectacle of Lights at DHS. I really enjoyed being there when the lights go on (well,k I did, until nebo had his inane conversation with the Cm about the definition of "dusk":rotfl2: if any of you remember)...it was cool to see them go on all at once. but then it is also crowded. wo we walked around once. then went back later when it was less crowded, so we weren't rushed. look for the black cat. stnad for a bit at theintersection of the 2 ain streets and look all around. I love it when the music plays and the lights come to life.

I enjoyed the candelight processional at epcot more than nebo.. and we did the dinner/show, so we could be assured of seats without standing in line for over an hour. this last yearwe never saw it. I wanted to, buy we were planning on just standing behind, and it was too cold and nebo's back was hurting.

the decor. at GF is great, the gingerbread house, etc. CR has next to nothing. beach club and boardwalk and yachtcluyb are fun to visit to see their decor.

we didn't do the MVMCP, but main street was really pretty.

I wish we had had a car, cause I heard ICE was pretty cool over at Gaylord Palms.

Oh yeah, the tree at WL is great,t oo

gee, Nebo wished himself a happy birthday! and gave himself a hug,! sorry dear, didn't check to see if yiou were logged out.

HAVE A GREAT YEAR, NEBO, AND HERE'S TO HOPEFULLY ANOTHER TRIP OR TWO IN 2012!

Hey, is Flutie still playing?

Nope. Last few years he played back in the NFL (Bills, Chargers and finished with the Patriots in 2005).

They have x rated smileys?

::yes::

You got me on Jack Handey. :confused3

It was on SNL, back in the 80s? There'd be some nice soothing music, and a nice shot of sunshine or a field of wheat. It was funny because they treated it like an inspirational message, while delivering some banality with a calming voice over, like this one.

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going
to take my nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old
burned-out warehouse. "Oh no," I said, "Disneyland burned down."

He cried and cried, but I think that deep down he thought it was a
pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but
decided to go home instead.

Great descriptive words, and they work, too.
And right after tulee tulee loo, wha, wha, wha,,,the scene will freeze on me, with red writing across the screen saying" the Pissed".

:lmao:

Greatest western of all time!

Can't argue with that. But if I had to choose between watching that or Unforgiven, I'd have a tough time.

I don't think I will, thank you. How did they get away with that name way back then?
My favorite was Ursula Undress,,,,Join me,,"Underneath the mango tree, my honey and me, we wait for the moon.."

Okay. Mum's the word. She won't hear it from me. Funny thing is, when I posted... um... what's the opposite of belated?
Whatever.
When I posted birthday greetings I thought to myself, "I don't even know for sure if it is Steve's birthday."
And then I thought, "I should pick a random TR and post Happy Birthday ____ and see how many other people chime in."
So, since it's today...

I think it was a secant actually. That's great about the quitting, I'm actually surprised about my self making it this long, didn't think I had it in me. And Yay for Diane, too.

Nebo, sorry for not commenting on the latest chapter in my last post. Thanksgiving and today have had me hopping with cooking, baking, and at the insistence of the kids getting the house "Christmas-fied" today. Whew, I need a little Nebo break.

I read all the Harry Potter books, but when I read that Stephen King thought that Rowling was brilliant, and that Myers was pretty crappy, I never bothered with the Twilight franchise.

Smidgy pretty much said it for me too, but one thing she didn't mention is they have a special "add on" at the end of Illuminations that makes a great show even better, so make sure you get hopper passes and end the day over there.

And now back to my Christmas decorating. :santa:

Nope. Last few years he played back in the NFL (Bills, Chargers and finished with the Patriots in 2005).

Yeah, two of the biggest hemmoroids on the Bears treated Flutie like crap when he played here, Jim McMahon and Dan Hampton and made fun of him all the time, he never got a fair shake in Chicago.

It was on SNL, back in the 80s? There'd be some nice soothing music, and a nice shot of sunshine or a field of wheat. It was funny because they treated it like an inspirational message, while delivering some banality with a calming voice over, like this one.

I was never much into SNL, not sure why.

Can't argue with that. But if I had to choose between watching that or Unforgiven, I'd have a tough time.

I've got Good, Bad and the Ugly at the top, after that I've got Magnificent Sever, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Outlaw Josie Wales, Unforgiven, Tombstone and Silverado all up there in no special order.
With the really stupid The Quick and the Dead as a guilty pleasure.
Sorry, you know me and lists.

Thanks everybody for the Bday wishes, now I owe you all a chapter.

Hello Boys and girls, once again it is time for a Nebo wildlife picture seance, even though you've seen similar pictures before from me.

Seance? Why in the heck did I type seance?
I meant sequence, does that make more sense?

No, not gonna get the deer to sit in a circle all humming "OHMMM",,, waiting for Bambi to come and speak to them, besides, how does a hoof hold another hoof on either side of them?

Ok, I came downstairs in the morning a couple of days ago, and there was a big shadow right outside our sliding doors.

He saw my movement and stood up, what was funny was it seemed to be lying down right next to Mischief, who was out all night and waiting to be let in.
No, Mischief isn't a slut, I got her 11 years ago from the shelter and she was fixed and declawed,,,and I don't think ever forgiven me for that,,, but she get's along with everything.
Well, except maybe some mice.

Not sure why, but these pictures came out really faded it seemed to me,,,maybe because it was cloudy and the sun wasn't really up much this early.

Ok, just gonna post what I've still got here:

Yes, that's our screen door in the way,,,,,shows I'm not making this up...

There was 4 of them all total, eating my dead impatiens in my pots that were euthanized by the first frost.

Ta Da!

Knock,,,,,,,,,

three times on the ceiling if you want me,,

From the department of corrections, I totally forgot getting stuck on the monorail leaving the Grand Floridian.

We boarded, it moved, it stopped, we sat.
Took about 15 minutes before we got underway again, nodt sure what was wrong, the omnipresent voice over went silent as well.

Back in our room, we made ourselves some pre-made drinks and went and sat on the balcony. I have found
that this is the best time for these kind of drinks,,,,
when it's getting late and you want one more drink but probably not too much alcohol,
this is where these come in.

Now, I want to show you some pictures I've been saving for you.

I've taken pictures direct from the balconey, of the lake, Water Pageant, thunderstorms, sky writing and of course, the pool,, but not what is directly below us.

Boy, that sounds kind of ominous, doesn't it?

No, it's nothing really special, it's just weird!

Here's the straight down shot, maybe a little bit back to our right,,,

102.jpg

Kind of hard to tell what you're looking at, isn't it?
Ok, let's go downstairs, the fist picture is a reflecting pool just outside the doors.

Now, lets see what that garden in the top picture looks like close up:

Yes, that's right! They have somehow learned how to grow and cultivate,,,,, Aluminum!
I wonder if Roderigo knows about this.

It really is the strangest thing, but at least now I know what happens to old Schwinn bicycles and hula hoops.

With that, we are off to bed. Tomorrow is an Epcot day and our last night here at BLT.

Wednsday, September 14

We decided to skip rope drop and give the pool one more chance in the morning, it was of course a lot more pleasant
withiout the yellow jackets and crowd, but after a couple of hours we headed over to Epcot.
This time the monorail worked just fine.

You know, I'm going to do something right now unprecedented in one of my trip reports, I'm going to break the 4th wall. :lmao:

Ok, ok, right, what wall?

Anyway, I want you all to know there will be no more trouble from the Beast for the rest of our stay at Disney, no more sadness, no more gnashing of teeth.

On the trip home?

That's another story!

I have to admit, on our ride to Epcot that day, I got inside my head a bit.
We have now been in Disney 8 nights now, and while our pulling up at CBR was like the light at the end of the tunnel, or rather, end of the hurrican, not quite the same over here at BLT.

No fault of BLT, but it's where we got the bad news from home, then we got the bad news from the CCC, and well, I'm looking forward to getting out of here before I come down with Cystic Fibrosis or Anthrax or whatever else is waiting to happen to us while we are staying here.

Oh, and that's where Smidgy also told me I don't look good in my red tank top anymore.
(sorry)

I had one goal today at Epcot, ok, well, two.
Of course it's to see Illuminations, the greatest nightime show in the world, but it's also to catch the group that's replaced The Brittish Invasion at one of the Epcot countries, whose name escapes me right now, darn, which one was it?

I had a sick feeling in my stomach when we walked in, and it turned out my sick feeling was correct,,,, I HATE when that happens!

The band was off today, nothing going on in the England pavillion. Yeah, that's what it was, England,,and no band, and not even Robert, it was a nightmare for me.:rolleyes1
( I know, Ponzi, but I had to )

Ok, time for a mystery picture, I'll even throw two at you:

So, are you ready for some, um, entertainment?

Meet the Jammitors! Video time, turn on those speakers.

This is the first time we have really stopped and listened to them and I expected more. I think their set lasted only 8 minutes.

What we did do though was spend a lot of time over in the Seas with Nemo pavillion, even sitting in with Crush to taking the ride and then looking at all the exhibits and taking the quizzes.

Say hi to Crush.

120.jpg

From here we walked over to the Showcase and watched Martin try to sell us on how nice Canada really is, but we weren't buying it.

One thing we always like to catch is the Voices of Liberty though, so once again make sure your speakers are on...

We also watched the Barney Fife and Drum corp but we didn't go and see the American Adventure again, I wasn't in the mood to see Franklin keep putting down my buddy Mark Twain for a half hour.

After talking about it, we decided for some strange reason to go all the way back to the Land and took the boat ride looking to see if Roderigo was walking around in there again.
No she wasn't.

127.jpg

WIth both of us hungry we decided on a late lunch, actually, she called it a late lunch, I said it was an early dinner, but we got the pork chop meal from Sunshing Seasons, and it was very good.
A bit more than I'd like to pay for a counter service meal, but when the original plan today was eating at Biergarten, which we nixed because after eating at Trail's End we didn't feel we could eat our money's worth at Biergarten either. Not when paying out of pocket.

After our meal, we hadn't had any drinks today yet, and usually after I eat I'm ready for bed, but we brought little bottles with us, so after buying a big pop bottle Smidgy went and stole us a couple of cups with ice in them from the self serve section down there, we then went over to, of all places, the smoking section across from the Land and set up bar mixing drinks.

Then we just walked around for awhile, sitting by the fountain, got a fastpass for an hour from now at Test Track. Around 6:30 we tried to get into Ellen's Energy Field, but she wasn't having any part of us with cups in our hands, so we went back and worked on finishing our drinks, then we went back and caught the last show of the night before they closed at 7.

Yep, once every 3 years here is enough, thank you Ellen, at least she didn't do her dance.

128.jpg

This is probably the longest show in Disney, when it was done it was also time for our fastpass at Test Track.
TT is open till nine, and for some reason, standby is now up to a half hour, good call on the fastpass.

After one final "Sure am" in chorus at the right time during the ride, we headed over to Showcase Plaza to watch Illuminations.

With about 20 minutes to kill, we stopped behind some kids at the railing and took up turf right there.
At some times even helping this family with kids hold there spots for them, you know how rough that can be.

Then it started, and in 80 degree temperatures, I got the chills all over like I always do for this.
I think the musical score is just brilliant the way it moves through the show.

As the last glowing piece of phosphorous fell into the water, we were off like a shot for the exit.

Sometimes during this charge she has me by the hand, other times we can't do it that way for fear of beheading small children and I have to find my way and keep up on my own.

I once found an opening and shot through it hugging the inside rail and saving ground, when I hit another wall of people I looked behind me for Smidgy, but she was one over right in front of me, not sure how she did it.

Usually no matter how fast we are, there is still a contingent that always beats us to the bus stop, but this time we shot up the ramp to the monorail as the hordes filled in behind us.

Hordes. Not a typo. Geesh.

I guess that's it for tonight, tomorrow we head on over to AkL. I have no name for this chapter, I'm losing it.
(oh, i'm missing MASH, hmm, wonder what's in the fridge, is that cheesecake still in there? And why am I telling all of you this?)

Ok, time for a mystery picture, I'll even throw two at you:

125.jpg

126.jpg

I believe these two pictures are from the ride in The Land, the second one one is for sure.

Cool pictures of the deer in your yard! A few years ago it was snowing and my youngest dd looked out back and said "Mom, there's a donkey in the backyard!" Of course we didn't believe her but she insisted so we went to the window and there were two deer standing silently in the falling snow...it was beautiful! Of course we've never let her live down the fact she thought they were donkeys ;). (I should add she was about four at the time :)).

First: the pictures are from the Land: the first one is from the dirt section.. I'll never get that smell out of my head... because that's what it smells like in the spring before it storms and the wind picks up the dust. The second is the room where they grow the fish.. I think it's carpe... (or crape had my DFIL would call it)

Second: Who cares if you missing MASH? MASH is a) old and b) boring.

Third: I can't really hear the people singing... too echoey... and I've never heard them before so I don't know what they're supposed to be singing.

Lastly: you wanna share some of that cheesecake with me? I'd appreciated it.

I guess I kinda did my own mini-version of a Nebo list... which we haven't seen in a while.. hmmm...

Happy Birthday Nebo!

Yep, the two mystery pictures are from Living with the Land. If I remember correctly, the first picture is in the initial seance/sequence of the ride, and the chickens/scarecrow are across from the farmhouse. The 2nd picture is as you enter the aquaculture portion of the ride. I usually ride Living with the Land 5-6 times every trip as DD isn't quite 40 inches yet, so she can't ride Soarin or TT yet.

Wow! Those deer pictures are really something Nebo! We have a ton of them here as well. We see deer tracks almost daily outside, but we don't usually have up close and personal encounters, unless we are in a moving vehicle! :scared1:

Your Illuminations pictures are really good. They make me wish I was there to see it tonight.

Smidgy and Nebo, thanks so much for the great advice on the must sees at Disney during the holidays. The Osborne lights and holiday Illuminations are high on my list, but now I want to resort hop to see all the deluxe decorations as well. I think it will be great to take the kids while they both still believe in Santa's magic. There's always magic at Disney but coupled with childhood innocence it really can be unbeatable!

And speaking of cheesecake, I made a toffee cheesecake for Thanksgiving that was/is out of this world. You and Smidgy should jump in the Santa Fe and drive the 9-10 hours to have a slice! ;)
