If you are packing full sizes of all liquids AND full packages of plastic bags AND the speakers are fairly large, then you might have a problem. I only keep 6 or so of each size plastic bag. I have medium sizes of liquids. I pack all of the small stuff in the divided tray that was provided. You will need to play around with the packing the first time, but after that you're home free. Just remember to bring your printed inventory and check off as you pack it. Have fun! You will LOVE it!

Yep, don't do like I did and missplace my inventory list on our 2nd locker. It really is going to be like Christmas morning when we open that baby up! ;)

Thank you for the tip, I have the list in the suitcase with all the stuff.

You have a lot of items that have expiration dates on them. Is the OL stored in a air conditioned space? You could also have problems with items leaking, like batteries and the liquid items. Plus a lighter might be a problem.

One question, though, why are you bringing dish soap and dish tabs? DVC provides dish soap and dishwasher detergent.

I would also be concerned about mixing combustibles with flammables in the same container. Are your contents insured against loss by the owner?

All good questions, all the products with expiration dates are Aug. 2009. So I am good for a year. The sunscreen I saw on another thread is now good for 2-3 years. The lighter is a stick one with a lock on it.

If you squeeze all those pesky liquids/creams out of their plastic containers they fill in all that extra space around all your other stuff taking up much less room! :lmao:

In the interest of space saving, we pack laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent in snack sized zip bags and bring from home. We usually take 3 or 4 each trip which does not take up much room. We found that not storing a large box or bottle frees up space for the more important items such as cocktail glasses.

Sounds like a pretty good list...just offering a couple other ideas...
Kitchen/Laundry:
1. Clorox Wipes

Those could possibly dry out if not sealed up good...

15. Grape Jelly

Will this keep once it's opened?!

Medicine Cabinet:
1. Pepto Bismo
2. Mole Skin
3. Extra Strength Tylenol
4. Tums
5. First Aid Kit
6. Band-aids

And maybe some Neosporin or Bactine if it's not in your first aid kit?
Misc.:
1. Rain Ponchos
2. Candles
3. Lighter
4. Surge Protector
5. Pool Toys
6. Night Lights
7. Mickey Small Duffle
8. Minnie Ears
9. Garbage Bags(3) Kitchen Size
10. Meijer Plastic Bags
11. Ipod Speakers, extra AAA Batteries

I would throw in a couple small umbrellas and perhaps add some sort of packing tape and / or glue and those misting fan bottles & lanyards to the misc. list (I would use the tape to make sure the clorox wipes are sealed good so they don't dry out as quick plus sometimes you just need a quick repair on something). Maybe you could change the lighter to matches to be safe?

I tried to talk DH into getting an OL last week as soon as I saw the free 2nd visit for life deal....but he wanted an exact list just like this and I couldn't pull it together before the offer expired so I will have to keep packing all this crap... I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Darn, did that offer expire? I forgot to sign up before I went on vacation (non-Disney) and wanted to do it now. Do you think they'll offer the 2 visits per year deal again?

Terri

My list looks much like yours. I've also got a king fitted sheet and a latte machine - hope it all fits! It's all piled up on my bedroom floor right now, and I'm trying to figure out how to pack it all! DH doesn't think leaving batteries, lighters or candles in there is a good idea, so we won't do any of those. Today at the dollar store I picked up two small stackable plastic baskets to put in there, 'cuz I'm thinking it might be nice to have someplace to contain things on counters, etc.

Bummer. The deal now has 2 visits for 3 years, still a pretty good deal. Thank you for the tip about the clorox wipes. I will throw some packing tape in the bag. The grape jelly will be throw out, we are getting a grocery delivery but it was on a great sale at the store.

An owners locker is a large tub you fill up with all the stuff you use every trip. The company Owners Lockers brings it to you every trip and stores it for you until your next trip.

I added a few items this weekend to the list: hair spray, hair gel, the water filter jug, baby powder. I am still looking for a cheap king size fitted sheet. I don't want to spend over $15.00.

When we got our locker in Jan, we rented a car. We went to Wal Mart and a queen and a king fitted sheets. Each was less than $10. They were lower thread count. We figure for just our Disney vacations and wash them each trip these are fine.

If I lived near an Ikea I could get a decent one, too bad its a 3 hour drive. I will try Walmart.
