Has anyone ever used their lockers before and after a cruise? How did you get it stored while on the cruise? Will the resort hold it while cruising or do you need to make two different reservations for the locker to be delivered? What if your using different resorts on either end of the cruise?

Thanks.

I have not (bcuz we haven't cruised in a long time) but I have read of people taking their lockers with them on their cruises which seems like the obvious thing to do....

(PS) totally unrelated but I see you are from Rochester....we just paid a deposit this past weekend at RIT for our DS for next year!

We did this and stored it at the BCV resort.
It was not a problem.
They have a long term storage area.
We also stored two extra suitcases of things we didn't need on the cruise.

Thanks everyone. I hadn't thought of taking it with us only because I have two lockers and wasn't sure the luggage and them would fit in a cabin. I didn't realize the resorts had long term storage. So do you think they would be willing to transfer the lockers to the other resort we will be staying at on our return and just hold them for the 5 days?

That's wonderful about RIT! It's a wonderful school I hope your DS really enjoys it. Does he like the snow and the cold?

Thanks - we sure hope it's the right decision!! He was pretty insistent that it was his first choice. We're sweating bullets now trying to figure out the money!!!:scared1: He's not really ever been a real big outdoorsy type so hopefully he'll be OK with the weather - he'll probably just stay inside as much as possible like he does now - they have a few tunnels from the dorms to the cafeteria etc. which is nice. We do ski a little bit so he's not opposed to snow - not sure if he might be interested in joining the ski club or something & bringing his skis up. :confused3 I was surprised when we visited that it was sort of flat there in the immediate area and that the closest skiing is probably an hour away. As a mom of an only child I just wish it was a couple of hours closer to home. A 4 hour drive would much better than a 6 1/2 hour drive. :)

Our recent trip was: WL - Disney Fantasy (7 nights) - BC.

WL bell services transferred two bags (of things, not proper luggage) for us to BC, who kept them in their long term storage until we checked in after or cruise. It worked great and we will do it again for our next split-by-a-cruise stay.

We have had our lockers before and after our cruise at 2 different resorts. Bell services held it (or transferred it and held it) along with a couple of bags we didn't need. Everything was waiting for us at the second resort after the cruise. Easy Peasy!

Thanks everyone! Will absolutely being doing the long term storage for the next cruise.
