Owners locker anyone?!

I know they just had a really good into deal on it but I missed it. I'll be watching to jump on one before our trip next year. Since we are all being foced to take smaller luggage on planes, and because there is just a definite amount fo "stuff" you need to have and even more "stuff" w/ kids. I'm loving this idea more and more. It was just mind-numbing how many bags we had w/ us last month.:scared: If I can cut down on just just one bag it's worth the struggles.
AND, purple is my favorite color! :thumbsup2

So basically since you have to "load it" would it not make much sense to buy one much before we go? Would we have to get one say a month or more before we arrive to make sure we have one there?

My question is: do you have to be there for it to be delivered or is it similar to Garden Grocer where they will leave it at Bell Services and they will deliver it to your room?

When we were checking out in October I saw a family either receiving or stowing 4 owners lockers! I think it would really help us because we have a lot of handicapped accessories that take almost an entire suitcase to transport. We've been lucky because until our Frequent Flyer miles run out we've avoided baggage fees with First Class tickets, but we only have 1-2 more trips left unless we spend a heck of a lot more money on tickets and baggage fees!

If Bell Services delivered the locker instead of us being present for the OL guys to drop it off that would be really convenient, if not, it wouldn't be a deal breaker, but just curious how that works.

Your locker will be delivered and left with Bell Services. You can then have it brought to your room at your convenience. You will receive a text message when it is delivered to your resort and when it has been picked up after you leave. You will also receive an e-mail a week or so before you leave home, to remind you when and where your locker will be delivered.
 

I just have to say again, that I love my locker and thank John and Brian for their excellent customer service. I cant imagine not having it and will be a proud owner for many years to come!

I've had 5 trips in 3 months and I could not have done it without OL:wizard:

I can pack carryon only and since I am only taking clothes, I just wash before I check out and stay packed and ready to go!

We were able to pack leftover bottles of wine in the locker in October so my Thanksgiving trip, I had wine and cheese (purchased at market) to go with my awesome Savannah View studio. (Bell Services will bring wine glasses at request) That's my favorite thing about Concierge is the evening wine and cheese offering and I really did not miss it like I thought I would this trip because our view was spectacular and I already had wine!:cloud9:

:goodvibes The texting thing isn't a big deal!! I don't normally text either as I have to pay for them as I receive / send but it's just a blip that will pop up to leave the msg. - you don't have to reply to them unless you want to. John sent me a msg. on our first delivery (long story here on the DIS about me finally talking DH into it) so I replied. But don't fret over that part!! We took ours to Vero Beach last summer too and Brian left me a msg. bright & early to let me know he'd meet us at the National Car Rental at MCO. I just called him back to verify our approx. arrival time.

We LOVE our Owners Locker! I am envious of those who have more than one!! :rolleyes1 On our first trip down I shipped a large box via UPS to arrive a day or two before we were to arrive (almost 45 Lbs!) That was all of our OL stuff!! It literally does save one whole large suitcase!! It's so nice that I don't have to pack all of the bathroom toiletries or OTC meds or anything any more. Literally all I have to pack are shoes & clothes. My OL list inventory is like 3 pages long! It is so nice tho to know that our string backpack, spray fan bottles, batteries, flip flops & Captain Morgan :rolleyes: are all waiting for us.

When we go in March I have a short list of things to replenish that we used up already (like paper plates and most importantly DH's Breathe Right strips!:rotfl: I only stocked the OL with 2 trips worth of those babies in the beginning.):rotfl2: Silly me! What was I thinking?! :rotfl:
 
We're doing a split stay, will Bell Services transfer the OL along with our luggage when we move from from the Treehouses to Kidani?

Sure. They will transfer just about anything, including stuff that needs to be in refrigerator or freezer. Then you just need to make sure that you have the locker scheduled for pick up at Kidani when you leave.
