Good Morning! :D

Quick question for my fellow Dis'ers...

We originally booked a room only reservation for 2 rooms in December for WL (1 for our family, 1 for both of our mothers). All along, we've paid around $1700 down on the reservation. In the meantime, we changed our reservation to POFQ due to lack of AP rates at WL for our timeframe. Both rooms at POFQ total $1500; therefore we have extra $$ applied to our reservation. Here's my dilemma:

When we check in, is it possible to transfer the $1700 to our family's room so our mothers can pay for their own room at check-in? I know we've been able to transfer deposits to one room before, but this was not an overpayment situation.

Does anyone have any insight or have you been in a similar situation?

Thanks in advance!
Amy

My initial thought is that if you have paid $1700 and the rooms are now $1500, they are going to give you back $200...credited to your credit card if that is how you paid.

I'm not sure if they will apply the payment to just 1 room. They will credit the $200 extra that you have paid. You could call to check. It might be better to just ask the mothers for a check a couple of days before your trip. That way the $ is in your account already, so you can draw from it. Good Luck.

I would just have the mothers pay when you get there and have them put it as a credit for your room...So, your credit should be somewhere in the neighborhood of $950
