I want to splurge! :cool  :cool1: 1: Can you help me?? :rotfl: I would love some ideas! :wizard:

I would buy something from glass shops on Main St or a clock from Germany in Epcot.... That is all that I can think of now but I know there is so much I want when I get there.....

Right now my list includes a Christmas ornament, and a magnet of the monrail that talks, and of course another shirt....

I've seen some beautiful art work in DTD. DVC would probably make a great suovie! :)

We bought mickeyhead drawer pull knobs and put them in our girl's bathroom!

Ooh I like this idea (Mickey drawer knobs), do you know which shop has these or are they available in many of the shops? I want them for my own bathroom, I was just thinking last weekend that I would like to change the knobs on the dresser in the bathroom, and this would be a lovely change.

Where did you get those? We are doing my son's room Disney (originally Mickey but the other night he said he wanted a Disney theme so as not to limit himself! LOL)

We actually have found them in a few stores. And they have been there on several trips. Oringinally we miss counted how many knobs to buy and came back 2 years later an purchased another 2.

They had different "heads". I remember Mickey, Minnie and Pluto specifically. They came in pewter/silver look (which we have) and gold look, very dark almost antiqued look.
Loved them.

They were usually in bins near key chains. We saw them in Downtown Disney at that bathroom/home shop which is no longer there but also other places in different stores. Also one of the stores at the Contemporary I believe. I'm sure you can just ask.

I love suggesting what to spend other peoples money on! :)

The Disney Gallery in Epcot and the Art of Disney in DTD is the place I would go! Having your purchase shipped home is wonderful and not really all that expensive.

Have fun and let us know what you splurged on! :)

There are so many wonderful souvineers, but I wouldn't buy the BIG figurines (sp) unless you have a kid cause I think that could look tacky. But the LINEX figurines are beautiful. They are of Belle and the Beast and other princess and dwarfs and mickey and minnie. They all have there normal skin coloring but they are wearing white versions of there outfits, like Beast is where a white coat instead of the blue one in the ballroom scene. They can run for 200 some times.

Also the snowglobes are beautifully done. I personally have the Peter Pan one where they are on the pirate ship. It's quite big, Peter rotates around the globe with Wendy and the others inside the globe. And there is a button on the bottom that gives the glass a very old timey look as if there are candles lit inside the ship. But there are tons of these kinds of snowglobes. Bambi, Bumbo, Pooh, Incredibles, just all kind, the cheapest I've seen is 60 and the most expensive was 120.

I agree the art of disney at dtd...oo those crystal prisms w/ your family's pic in it..they are nice and can be quite pricey..hey do both if you can!!!!

A leather jacket. I'm always admiring them when I'm there. One day I will give in to temptation! :teeth:

Myst

My "big" souvineer was a Paul Stanley signature edition guitar from Guitar Gallery at DTD. But then again, I play guitar.

We bought a glass photo frame and had our names & date etched into it. They can do it in the shop on Main Street and the one at DTD and we watched him etch our names. It was around $50. Last year on our anniversary, we had our faces lazered into a crystal cube with writing on the bottom and it rotates on a mirror stand with colored lights. It was around $100 and we had it done at the shop at the exit of Figment. I collect snowglobes too, so I always buy a new snowglobe there every year and you can get one between $50-$120.

I didn't get to splurge on my last trip but let me tell you what my brother splurged on in December. He got one of the crystals etched with his image and his DD's image and the date with Sorceror Mickey. It sits on the base and changes colors in the prism. Very cool but very expensive. I saw these at the shop near Space Mountain last week. Also he brought home for my family a mug for each of us with a different character. The kids got smaller mugs with Sorceror Mickey, Minnie, and Donald. My DH and I got larger mugs . . . mine with Minnie and his with Mickey in their German costumes. They all have our names etched on the back. I am forever breaking glasses and he said these looked durable. I just laughed and told everyone these were not to be touched! He got these in Epcot somewhere in Germany. They were shipped back to the house and arrived pretty fast. They also got one of the posters of him and his DD in Star Wars that was really neat. Have fun on your shopping splurge. I am hoping to do that one of these times. Sounds like fun!

On my last trip I spurlged on a It's a small world clock in Japan. I love it and enjoy it everyday. I am thinking of buying another one for another area of the house. I would recommend the Art of Disney. they have some nice stuff there!!

When I was there last week, someone was buying all the pieces to the monorail train set thing. I have no idea how much that was costing, but it had to be a ton.
