Over the river and through the FUN!

great start!! Love the pictures already--Jills baby bump looks awesome!!

Thanks, but I didn't realize the first ones were so blurry. I could have had Brooklynn 'hold her breath' again until I got a good one. I guess we were just focused on leaving!

awwwww.....look at jill's little preggo belly! so cute!

Yep, that's the next baby girl on her first (kinda) trip!

I agree. Jill looks adorable. And just when I thought Brooklynn couldn't get any cuter. She had to go and prove me wrong. I can't wait to hear how this trip played out. We have 12 more days until we go.
Wait, it's after midnight. We have 11 more days. YAY!

A bunch of you guys are going soon. You guys need to meet up and ride a ride together one day.

Love that tree! I also love Brooklynns new long hair! She sure has grown up! I love the guy standing at the entrance, I've never heard of that at a value! Can't wait for more, heading to WDW on thursday with mom!

He was very nice. He greeted us outside and escorted us in. He gave Brooklynn a bunch of stickers and a balloon and made small talk with Jill and John about the trip.

Have a great mother-daughter trip. We love those!

hello I finally found my way over.

Great start Jill.

we're at Disney. The tree looked really nice.

Are you still on your lounge chair? :)

Each of the All Star trees had cool decorations.

Yay! Your new report - can't wait to read it. It makes my mornings worthwhile when I can read your updates!!!

Julie xxx

I'm not going to do anything but responses this morning. I feel lousy. Now, with this cold, I seem to have a bit of a fever. It puts me in a bind, because I have a very important meeting I have to go to on a student today, and I really can't miss it. I shouldn't be at school with a fever, though. I've got about an hour to decided what I'm going to do.

Yaaaaa.....my first thought this morning was to check in and see if you had started your new trippie...and here it is.....and I am already late....I may not even make it on the first few pages. Oh well. Trust me I have enjoyed every pic and line so far. A couple of thoughts...

the part about Brooklyn throwing a fit is hilarious....only cause I have lived thru it and survived. While my Brook and Devon dance (on Tues), Sarah and I go to the local library. Its a small branch but it is the noisest place on earth. Seriously. We wouldnt have heard Brooklynn in there. If I want to get anything done, I bring my ipod.

Second, I was going to comment on how pathetic the few nutcrackers were for decorations (I mean compared to disney) but then I looked around my non-decorated house and decided not to make a flip comment

Yaaaaa that you all arrived in such good time in FL. Love the balloon guy. And the first thing I said when I saw that pic was how cute Jill's belly was.....awwwwwww.

Well, I am out by the pool waiting for the next installment. I also brought my sewing machine with me since I still have like 4 more outfits and a dozen gifts to make in the next week or so Wish me luck on that.

Love you all!

Wow! Sewing out by the pool - that's fun! The sun, the palm trees, the sounds of squealing children having fun, the CMs hula-hooping...and you over there sewing up some of those awesome presents you give to people.

What a nice day!

And because I am not going to be on here long this morning, you're still going to be sitting there for a while!

Hi Memom and Jill,

It was great to meet both of you & Brooklyn on our first night and take a few pictures. can't wait to hear about your trip.

Your kids were so sweet when they saw their grandparents. They just grabbed them so tight! I am glad your surprise worked out so nicely, and I hope you guys all had a great time for the rest of the trip. I know it was raining as we left, but I hope your Sunday wasn't too bad.

YaY... move over everyone, I'm climbing in the Sleigh for this Ride over the River too.
The Music Tree looks great. I have not stayed there yet (next year), but have been to Movies and Sports. Will be on my way to Sports this time next Sunday and will be there by 4 pm.
Even though I will be there, went to the Disney store in Mishawaka, IN. yesterday and got some deals for the Grandkids, 4$ plates and cereal bowls and 5$ long sleeve T-shirts , I knew I wouldn't find those prices down there :thumbsup2 , but I am looking forward to making a Dino at DTD. A Dino was one request from the youngest Grandson Christian and I was planning to get it at AK but when I saw the pic of all the Build a Dino's I knew exactly where I was getting it. Thanks for the pic. or I wouldn't have known.
Looking forward to more reads, have a Satisfying Sunday.

Nan

Another Diser there next week! I think there are four on this TR alone who will be there.

There were so many people walking around with those Dino boxes. I think it is a big hit!

Ever since I've been back, the prices in the stores have seemed so low. When you look at Disney prices for a while, and then you come back out here, the prices don't look all that bad. I've found myself saying, "Is that all that costs?" a few times.

Woo Hoo! The new trippie has started. :cool1:

Was this Brooklynn's first trip? :lmao:

We forgave him. He didn't know who he was talking to. ;)

This was definitely not Brooklynn's first trip or the last !!! :rotfl2: She is adorable in her outfit and goldilocks.

The Cypress Gardens pic is perfect, she even has blonde hair to match. I would love to take my DMom to Cypress Gardens, she loved it there and she hasn't been in a very long time. I thought it closed down? I guess I was mistaken. :confused3

Aww...Pilgrim Minnie. You showed so much restraint in your souvenier shopping. I don't think I could be so disiplined. I will start to save after Xmas so I will have enough. There will never be enough for everything...but a girl can try. :rotfl2:

Walmart in Ocala :) , I've never been to that one. We usually go to the one on I192. It's a must. :cool1:

I feel so happy when I see the WDW welcome arches. :woohoo: It feels like we are finally there to me. :woohoo:

BrooklynnsMommy your belly is so adorable. You are glowing, or are you just happy to be at WDW. Isabella's first Pre Trip. :cloud9:

The tree at ASMusic is lovely. Nice close up of the decorations.

Good news to hear they have made a few changes adding the curtains at the resort.

My DMom came home the other day with lime green Mickey heads from Home Depot. She heard me talking about them and picked me up a few. She loves Home Depot so I will have lots of opertunities in the coming year to get a good collection.

Happy Elf your name is so fitting for this time of year. I could never put the presents out now, my kids can't be trusted. :rotfl: My DD has changed her mind a dozen times already, I've told her it's too late. "Santa made her toy along time ago".

Nicole have a wonderful time with your mom at WDW. Have fun!!!

I'm not sure about Cypress Gardens. I'll have to Google it and see what comes up.

I was only disciplined in the spending department because I had to be. I need some things done around this dilapidated house, so I have to be sure I don't owe a million dollars on a credit card.

The curtain at ASMusic was great. I slept on a twin blow-up mattress over by the sink, and Trent and Jarvis had the two beds. I got up, closed the curtain, and was able to get ready without disturbing them.

Good afternoon MeMom! I did end up buying a tree--I want to say it's a balsam fir. It's soft and has tiny needles, so I'm hoping that it doesn't drop a lot. I don't think it would happen, but I don't want my dog eating the needles. :scared: We already have gifts wrapped and under the big tree, but it hasn't been decorated yet. Hopefully later!

I saw your tree and your lights in your bedroom. Very festive!

I'm hopping on the sleigh ride also! I love the pictures so far, and I hope everyone on your end is happy and healthy through the season (and beyond!)
I'll be following along :yay:

Bring a warm blanket on this ride, because it is cold around here. I think I'm extra cold, too, with this fever I have been so privileged to acquire. :sad2:

I hope we are all (everyone on the TR) happy and healthy throughout the season and throughout the year ahead, too!

I'm here! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

It was fun. I have lots of shopping pictures and lots of Christmas pictures, but not too many ride pictures.

Yay, your TR!!! Your little baby bump looks so cute!!!

It's just amazing to know that on the other side of that bump is a real live human being that we will watch grow. Once she's here, it will be hard to remember what life was like without her.

i'm here now.

How many trips does this make for Brooklyn now?? She is only two and she has been to WDW more times than I have (age 28 and 4 times):rotfl: She'll probably be on #20 by the time we go back and take Caleb.:rotfl:

I love that the toys I played with are back. I got a Care Bear and a Popple doll (remember those??) for my 2 yr old niece for xmas. She probably does not even know what they are but I am soo excited to give them to her because I had so much fun playing with them as a child.

Love seeing jill's baby bump....is this pregnancy flying by? It seems so long ago that I was pregnant and it has been almost 11 weeks now since I delivered.

Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, My Little Pony - I've seen them all, and it took me back to when Jill was little. I've missed out on seeing the Popples, but I certainly do remember them.

Hey MeMom - I'm confused (as you didn't start this TR), but happily signing in for this report. You posted on my TR after recognizing my girls from actually seeing us in Epcot, when I hadn't even posted that we had been to that park yet, so I wanted to check out your report. You obviously have a big following! I'm looking forward to hearing more about this trip, and seeing more blurry (or clear, if you must) pictures!

Leslie

It is confusing, I guess, if you don't know us.
Either that or I'm just a really rude poster! ;)

Jill (my daughter) starts the reports, because she doesn't get to be on the computer very often. We're hoping that will change in the new year, as she has asked for internet for Christmas. She gets on when she can, but I do most of the writing and picture posting.

If you really want to be confused, go back and try to figure out what happened at the beginning of the Magic Camel report! That one is really confusing!

I thought I recognized your daughters, and then when I saw your LGMH, I knew it was you, but you were already walking away. I would have had to be completely sure it was another Diser before I said anything, and by the time I decided it was, you were leaving.

On the Fourth of July, we were at the Poly beach watching fireworks, and another Diser who was up in the concierge lounge took a picture of us from afar and put it on the last report. It was strange to see ourselves from someone else's camera, but it was cool that they saw us and recognized us!

*********************

I hope you all have a cold-free fever-free Monday...and the rest of the week, too. Trent and Drew both have colds, too, so it's just a lot of fun around here right now - watery eyes, sniffles, coughing. I want to crawl back under the covers and sleep the day away, but I don't know that that's an option.

Stay warm, everyone!

Sorry you are feeling poorly MeMom!!!
What did you decide on your meeting? Its tough - you feel rough and desperately want to stay home in the warm - but at the same time know when something is too important to miss. I hope you did whatever made you feel better - whether that was stay in or go to your meeting because it was the right thing to do!
I'm having a good day - our baby is wriggling so much now!!! Its a wonderful feeling. We had our 20-week scan but didn't find out the sex... we'd like a surprise!
Take care, much love, Julie xxx

PANT...PANT....HUH....HUH.......PHEW, I FOUND YOU!!!! I'm all out of breath from running like mad over here from Magic Camel!!!! Haven't sprinted like that in I don't know how long!!!! But it was for a good cause, so I don't mind breaking out into a massive sweat for you guys!!!!

Okay, I'm not moving from my lounge chair----go ahead and continue with all your wonderful holiday merriment at Mickey's House!!! Will there be pictures??????? (Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!! I know, I crack myself up too!!!)

Hi Memom!

Glad to see the new report has started and I can start this one at the BEGINNING instead of having to play catch up the whole time!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. There's a bug going around our store and I seem to have caught it for this week, so I'm feeling not so great as well. Bad timing since it's finals week :scared1: I have a regular test today plus a research paper due and a presentation on it and three more finals in the coming days! Great timing, huh?

Can't wait for the next installment of your trip - parks!

~Abby

Hey MeMom,
Feel better soon....everyone up here is getting sick too, and its finals week for us :scared1:

I hope you feel better soon MeMom! My little guy is sick too! Lots of yucky stuff going around!

/
Aw, sorry to hear you all are under the weather. Cold and flu season is definitely under way... it seemed like half my office was out sick last week. I've managed to stay healthy so far but I'm thinking it's only a matter of time till I'm  .

Great start on the TR. I hope someday we can drive to Disney rather than fly and visit the Florida Welcome Center ourselves. It seems like a fun way to start the trip.

The Christmas tree in the lobby was very pretty. And yay! for Brooklynn being greeted with a balloon. I just love special little Disney touches like that. :goodvibes

How wonderful it is to come home all sad and then have a MeMom and Jill TR to read!!! :woohoo: I'm glad you're all home safely and had a great time! sorry you're not feeling so good MeMom, hope that changes soon.

I absolutely LOVE the pictures of Brooklyn in the Cypress Garden sign!!! Soooooooo funny! She is just too cute! I was laughing like a wild woman! And I also had some laughs at asking Brooklyn if it was her first trip! I suppose you would assume so since she's so young, however I got asked quite a few times also! Just imagine how many adults Brooklyn could teach about "Dizzy Wuld" ;)

awwwww.....look at jill's little preggo belly! so cute!

a cute little bump indeed!

Even though im a Florida girl i think when we head back down, i'll try to stop by the welcome center. Only for me i'll think of it as the welcome back center. :rotfl:

I hope you feel better soon MeMom. And I'll check Target out on my day off. Thanks for the advice.

Feel better soon MeMom! :wizard:

What a shame you feel so crappy today and your boys are sick too.

One time all of us were sick at the same time and there was no one to take care of us, we kindove took turns who could do what for whom...:rotfl:

Sorry to hear that you are sick--I'm getting some kind of cold, too, but it's mostly just sneezes and a sore throat and aches. I hope you feel better!

I love that the toys I played with are back. I got a Care Bear and a Popple doll (remember those??) for my 2 yr old niece for xmas. She probably does not even know what they are but I am soo excited to give them to her because I had so much fun playing with them as a child.

Awww, I had Popples. I had a little pink one, and my aunt had a blue one--naturally I coveted the blue one, but I have it now, sitting on my dresser. :goodvibes It's crazy how so many toys are making a comeback.

Sorry you are feeling poorly MeMom!!!

I had to go yesterday. I couldn't miss that meeting. Today, however, I am staying home, doing nothing, and I'm going to try to pump myself full of Nyquil and sleep some of this off.

Not many people wait until the arrival to find out any more. Back in the days that I had kids, you didn't know unless you'd had some kind of trouble, because sonograms weren't routine. I didn't know what mine were until they got here. I'll be anxious to see what you get!

You didn't miss anything. We're just sitting out by the pool in the chairs - hanging out and watching twob4him catch up on some sewing!

I'm going to at least get you into a room here in a few minutes.

There might be a picture here and there. I'll see what I can do.

I hope you all feel better soon.

Thanks. I do, too. I'm tired of prying gooky eyes open every morning.

Hi Memom!

I hope you get through all of your stuff without getting sick. Enjoy your break from school when it is all over!

Hey MeMom,
Feel better soon....everyone up here is getting sick too, and its finals week for us :scared1:

Trent is taking his final finals, too. He's so glad to be finished.

I hope you feel better soon MeMom! My little guy is sick too! Lots of yucky stuff going around!

Yeah, we've had kids with everything from sniffles to mono at school.

Aw, sorry to hear you all are under the weather. Cold and flu season is definitely under way... it seemed like half my office was out sick last week. I've managed to stay healthy so far but I'm thinking it's only a matter of time till I'm  .

The Christmas tree in the lobby was very pretty. And yay! for Brooklynn being greeted with a balloon. I just love special little Disney touches like that.

I don't miss school often, but sometimes when you don't feel good, you just can't deal with a room full of kids tugging at you all day. I really didn't think I could do it today without being Grumpy, and since I don't want to do that, I'm just going to stay home and be Sleepy!

I got it now! I still just can't get over you recognizing us while at Epcot, and then finding my TR after getting back. We'll have to schedule our trips at the same time again next time. :rotfl2:

I hope you feel better soon!

Leslie

I'm just glad I didn't feel quite this bad during the trip.

Did you meet any Disers face to face?

How wonderful it is to come home all sad and then have a MeMom and Jill TR to read!!! :woohoo: I'm glad you're all home safely and had a great time! sorry you're not feeling so good MeMom, hope that changes soon.

How was Sunday for you? The reports were that rain and high winds were heading in as were leaving.

On our 2005 trip, Trent and Drew put their faces in one of the cutoutss they had at the welcome center. They were pretty crazy looking!

Hi Memom,

Just wanted to let you know I put my October trip over here or I should say I started copying it here.

I am going to post it all by Friday before I leave but thought you would like to check it out.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=29088153#post29088153

I will definitely do that.
Now it's time to put away your pumpkins, get out your stocking cap, and head back for Christmas fun!

I hope that you are feeling better.

Me, too. It's just annoying feeling so lousy that you can't do your daily routine. I keep falling asleep, because my strength is just zapped. I started writing this early this morning, and now it's ten-something.

a cute little bump indeed!

Even though im a Florida girl i think when we head back down, i'll try to stop by the welcome center. Only for me i'll think of it as the welcome back center. :rotfl:

I hope you feel better soon MeMom. And I'll check Target out on my day off. Thanks for the advice.

I think you'll find some Disney stuff at Target. I got one Winnie-the-Pooh and friends ornament for only $4.00.

When will you visit Florida? Next time you come through TN, make it not be at 1 in the morning, and we'll meet up!

Feel better soon MeMom! :wizard:

What a shame you feel so crappy today and your boys are sick too.

One time all of us were sick at the same time and there was no one to take care of us, we kindove took turns who could do what for whom...:rotfl:

We've just all got crummy colds. I'm gargling with warm salt water, which relieves the throat pain for a while.

Sorry to hear that you are sick--I'm getting some kind of cold, too, but it's mostly just sneezes and a sore throat and aches. I hope you feel better!

Awww, I had Popples. I had a little pink one, and my aunt had a blue one--naturally I coveted the blue one, but I have it now, sitting on my dresser. :goodvibes It's crazy how so many toys are making a comeback.

I'll have to look for the Popples next time I'm at Toys R Us. I've seen the My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake, and Care Bear stuff.

Take care of that cold. That's what I have, but it just won't go away. It's been like four weeks now. I despise going to doctors, though. I need to see what kind of tonic Granny Clampett might conjure up for a sore throat. She always had some kind of blackstrap molasses elixir going on in a big black kettle in her kitchen!

****************************

Let's see if I can stay awake long enough to get you guys into a room.
The lifeguards are starting to get suspicious of you all hanging out by the pool.

A few more pictures throughout Melody Hall.

IMG_0032.jpg

There was food involved, naturally.

IMG_0033.jpg

I wanted a cheese pizza, but she said I'd have to wait a while. I took an already made pepperoni just so we could get going.

I should have waited. It was less than great. It was sort of dry.
Oh, well, we just needed something to get us to the parks.

They had cute little Christmas napkins.
Did you notice the Christmas cups, too?

IMG_0034.jpg

The pool you guys have been sitting at for so long.

IMG_0035.jpg

Why didn't you jump in? You have it pretty much all to yourselves!

IMG_0036.jpg

Finally, you have rooms. These are our two connecting rooms.

IMG_0037.jpg

IMG_0038.jpg

IMG_0039.jpg

It works well for us to get connecting rooms. I can help occupy Brooklynn while the others get ready, but we still have separate spaces -TVs, bathrooms, and sleeping areas.

Remember Brooklynn's fountain from last December. Our rooms were right down from it, so we passed it every day.

IMG_0040.jpg

Yes, she still called in 'my fountain'.

She calls everything hers.

My Dizzy Wuld.
My Magic Kingdom.
My Mickey.

I don't know where she gets the idea that it all belongs to her.
How presumptious!

Palm tree shadows in the water.

IMG_0041.jpg

I snuck in one gift shop picture before we got on the bus.

IMG_0042.jpg

The ritual of fixing Brooklynn's hair on the bus begins.

IMG_0043.jpg

Note that the time on the bus shows that we were a good two hours later getting started than we normally are.

Next up, the park that goes with this tree.

IMG_0044.jpg

Have a good rest of the day!

great update and pics.

strange how cute I found the Christmas napkins. :confused3

Yay great start! I can't wait to read more about this trip and all the cute little christmas things!

Yay! Great update! I love the look of the ASMusic rooms. We just got back from our trip and it's great to see the pics of the places we weren't able to visit.

Brooklynn is adorable. I'm looking forward to the day that my DD will once again sit still to let me fix her hair.

I've got a few of the Christmas napkins sitting on my dresser along with the cute Halloween ones I got in Sept. They cheer me up when I walk by them. There are a lot of cute Disney Christmas decorations out in the stores - heres a little musical tree I got at Walgreens last weekend...

P1000151.jpg

I'm learning how to post pictures so hope you don't mind me posting it here. I haven't figured out how to make it smaller yet (It's about 10" tall). They also had a pooh, minnie and princess tree. It has lights and music. ($9.99).

Hope you're feeling better - that seems to happen a lot when people go out of town. They come back and get sick! All those strange germs I think!
