We are planning our next trip with extended family. We will have a party of 10. We are looking into staying at the 'Magical Memories Villas' off site.

Has anyone heard of these before? Stayed at them? Do you have an opinion on them.

We are looking for a nice resort that has 3 bedrooms so we can all stay in the same villa.

Any suggestions????
:laundy: Thanks!!

Magical Memories is actually a rental company that rents out homes and condos in several neighborhoods througout the Disney area. I used them once, and had a good experience, but have found a better way...

Financially you would do better renting directly through one of the many owner sites on the web... VRBO, Villasdirect, Windsorhillrent etc.

These sites allow you to search the exact size villa you need as well as see photos, prices and availability of the exact unit you are interested in.

Some of the nicest, and closest neighborhoods to Disney are Emerald Isle, Windosr Hills, Windsor Palms. Just do a Google search of these names and you will find many sites renting out these properties, for less than you would pay through Magical Memories.

Also, take time to peruse the Orlando hotels and attractions discussion board here on the Dis, and search threads regarding offsite home an villas, many links and lots of good information.

We stayed with them, and I cannot remember the "neighborhood" we were in.
The villas were great! They felt more like a house than a hotel/condo. We had a 3 bdrm, 3 bath, and it was so roomy! They don't have maid service, don't know if that bothers you or not.

The pool was MUCH to be desired. They have a "main" pool, which isn't anything special- an oval hole in the middle of a slab of concrete. There are also pools located throughout the condos- small rectangles that are VERY cold. We stayed during Christmas time, so we wouldn't have used to pools.
Magical Memories is a PAIN in the BUTT to find! You have to drive one way on 192 for about 30 minutes to "check-in." The Magical Memories office is very small & located behind an italian restaurant.
Then you have to retrace those 30mins, add another 10, and there you are.
It took us about 10 minutes to get to World Dr. Note, that means it took us about 20 to get to MK (on not to trafficy days).

Would we stay there again? Probably not. But we aren't upset we stayed there. The villas were very comfy- so if all you are looking for is somewhere to relax and put your head to sleep after days at the parks- it's great, and would recommend.
But, if you want somewhere where you will be wanting to swim, enjoy the grounds and activities, I wouldn't recommend.
Hope this helps!!

Oh yeah, one night the Magical Memories employees at their office (45 mins away) decided that at about 12:30 am- they would give the same room to another family checking in. About 12:30 our door flies open, a non-english speaking family (not to insult anyone) stands there, looking really confused, yells at one another, and then shuts the door. They sat outside our condo in their car for about 15 minutes, then drove off. Talk about a midnight SCARE!! :scared1:
