I've been trying to find the answer to this using the search function, because I thought I'd seen it before, but no luck...

Which rides are likely to run out of fastpasses earlier in the day? We'll be at Disneyland over President's Day weekend, and I'd like to know which Fastpasses should get priority.

Thanks so much!

Thanks so much - do you think any of these might be available after 5PM, or are they likely to be gone by then?

We'll be at California Adventure, also. What do we need to get early at that park?

We were there Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The only ride we noticed that ran out of FPs was California Screamin. I guess because it closes earlier for WOC.

Don't make this a huge concern. Granted it's a holiday period for the visit but not going to be super busy.

Space Mountain will sometimes run out by 5PM; Indiana Jones sometimes by 7PM; Screamin' machines close early because Screamin' closes early; Tower of Terror doesn't have FP everyday, and neither does Big Thunder.

Nothing else will be a problem.

While not a ride, I believe World of Color runs out first!

seriously tho... Indy passes go quick on busy days! :thumbsup2

During busy times, sure. Most of the time? World of Color fastpasses are now available well into the evening. The 9.15 and 10.15 shows are commonly "open seating," even on busy Sundays.

If this is true, does a Fast Pass get you a better seat? In fact, does an earlier fastpass guarantee a better seat than a later in the day Fast Pass or is it first show up, first seat with a Fast Pass sort of like General Admission to a concert?

<- Sorry, World of Color newb. :)

You still need a Fastpass to get into the seating area, they just are rarely enforcing the color zones because the crowds are so light most nights.

first of all its standing room only no seating. and second a fast pass does not garauntee a better viewing area, the area's or the sections are color coded, the dinner's with the WOC ticket have the best viewing at least that is what i thought from my awesome yellow section i got with my Bf back in september for WOC and we did the picnic meals. hydro guy has a sticky on this at the top fo the forum...

Seating, sorry. It was obvious what I meant nonetheless. The crowds are so light right now that you actually can sit and watch the show.

As I said, the color coding is not currently being enforced for the majority of shows because the crowds are light. Have a blue zone ticket? Grab a seat in the yellow zone, it doesn't matter right now.

That'll change when the crowds go back up.

I'm at Disneyland multiple times a week, I know what I'm talking about. You need a Fastpass to see the show in the seating - sorry "viewing" - area, but except for the 8PM weekend showings, the shows are empty.

Crowds are light and the hype is over.

To make it clear. There are no seats to sit in. If you sit on the ground you will be looking through a railing from or through the people sitting in front of you for most of the show as there are plenty of low show elements.

I take it the later you go the better chance you will get to get the last showing of the night. We would like to see the 2nd show. Will we know before we put our ticket in which show our fastpass will be for?

Space Mountain is almost always the first to run out. On busy holiday weekends I found it common to see return times of 8PM when getting fast passes around noon. You may get a FP after 5pm on a late closing night but I'd expect return times close to Disneylands closing time.

Second is Indiana Jones. If there are FP's after 5PM expect return times around 9pm-10pm.

At California Adventure FP's generally don't run out except at California Scream'n around early evening. Return times for Soar'n are often 3-5 hours on a busy day but rarely run out until late evenings.

Yes, by watching what happened to the person in front of you are asking the CMs manning the FP machines.

Get Space Mtn FPs first...they always run out first. I've been there days that Space has been out of FPs by 11 am.....we always get those first. Then we get Indy because those run out as well. :)
In DCA we get Soarin and then Screamin, those are the only 2 we've ever seen run out.

When we visit in August I have seen space out by 1100, followed by Indie. I agree with pixiewings71. It all depends on when you go. They seem to run out very early.

do you still need a Fast Pass for WOC? or can you just walk up and see it?
