two weeks

House plans looking good

OMG I can't believe we leave in just about a week...I didn't feel like I had a lot to do, but now I do!!

i had the craziest dreams before my wedding ranging from nobody showing up(guests, parents, make up people, DH), to walking in on DH getting married at the pavilion to some other random girl! I would have a DN (disney nightmare) almost every night.

LOL DN...I'll have to remember that!

I had a dream a few weeks back that I was washing my hair but while it was still shampooey (yes a word) I had to walk down this hallway...but it had BATS in it. Like the giant ones at AK and I couldn't get to the ceremony. After a while Eric showed up and told me the wedding was over and I missed it

So in non-trip/non-wedding news....

We signed the paperwork to start building our house!!! I'm super excited!! They should start building at the end of March. When we get back from our trip we will get to see the completed blue prints and start picking out materials. I'm especially excited because we took one of their standard floor plans, but I altered it a bit so it's custom to us. We'll be the first ones to have it and once the blue prints are drawn up they will offer it to other customers after us!!

I didn't look into the gift card deal but if you book a certain number of nights you get a gift card with a pre-determined amount on it.

Here is what I understood from the builder. Automtically included in the price of our house is a $1000 plan change allowance. They have told us the changes we made to the floorplan aren't major. I just moved some stuff, I didn't change square footage or anything. SO, they will draw up the blue prints based on what I gave them. That step comes first.

Once we have that done, they can start building. The picking out stuff comes later. It's only a 90 day process from when they start to build. As soon as we finalize the blue prints they can start building. And like I said, I didnt' change it TOO much, just turned somethings. And we saved money because when I moved stuff, I actually got rid of a powder room and we got a credit back for that.

We are new at this obviously but that's how it was explained to us.
