Our Ten Day Adventure Around the World with(out) Malficent!!!....with lots of pics!!!

Friday June 19, 2009: EPCOT
●Park Hours 9am to 9pm

EPCOT is the park that I am looking forward to the most. And it is simply because I have never done the World Showcase. :scared1: Shocking, I know!

But, my kids were younger and we are a thrill ride family. So, we would do Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space, etc and then leave for a break and then head to Magic Kingdom in the evening (because that is our favorite park).

Well, this trip we have two days planned for each park; so I am making sure that we tour the World Showcase. And I found out about some cool things that we can do to make it interesting.

My daughter Rebecca told me that we have to do the Kim Possible Adventure. My girls also want to do the KidCot Fun Stops and get the passports signed in each country. And there are rides in the World Showcase!! Gran Fiesta Tour and Maelstrom!!!

So......we will take our time this trip (I am usually pretty commando in the parks!!pirate:).

Some of our favorite rides/attractions are:
Innoventions
Living with the Land
Mission Space
Soarin'
Spaceship Earth
Test Track
Circle of Life
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Turtle Talk with Crush

Some of the things I am looking forward to experiencing are:
Canada Pavilion
China Pavilion
Epcot Character Spot
France Pavilion
Germany Pavilion
IllumiNations
Italy Pavilion
Japan Pavilion
Mexico Pavilion
Norway Pavilion
United Kingdom Pavilion
USA Pavilion
The American Adventure

Also, me and my mom are excited about the Grey Goose Slushies and the Grand Marnier Slush. :yay:

I hope to post day ten by tonight. Today is the Spring Fling at my girls' school today. I am going to be helping out there today and am leaving in a few minutes.

Actually, no that is not all for our plans. Our trip is actually 12 days (two days for travel-we are driving, eight days for Disney World and two day for Universal/Islands of Adventure). I have day eleven and twelve left.

We did 1900 Park Fare for dinner in 2006 and really enjoyed it (this time it is for breakfast).

I can't wait to do Toy Story Mania. :)

day eleven is coming up soon......................

That's cool. I was trying for 14 days but I couldn't get my family to agree to it. Of course, whether it is 12 or 14 days, it never seems enough.

Ain't that the truth, our trip was originally supposed to be for 8 nights, then I added one so we wouldn't have to pay oop for Cali Grill, then I added 2 so I wouldn't have to pay oop for CRT. Any excuse to stay longer.

Monday June 22, 2009: Travel Day
●Check out by 10am—Drive Home

This is our check out day :sad1:

We have to check out by 10am. Since we are driving, I'm not sure what time we will leave but it is about 11-12 hours drive home.

By the time we get home, we will probably unpack the car (but not the bags) and go to bed. I have to work the next day, :scared: so I will probably start my trip report by that weekend.

up next...................shopping, packing, what am I going to forget??...................oh my...............................

We only have twelve days til we leave for Disney World!! My family is just too excited. I hope to be able to post tonight on my packing. Most of the clothes is packed and ready to go.

:goodvibes

:flower3:

Well, our bags are packed....
IMG_0832.jpg

....well mostly. I have 95% of our clothes and personal items packs. I have been picking up clothes here and there (usually on sale :) ). I just have to pack up clothes like the girls' swim suits (they will probably not be packed until the night before) and a few other pieces that we will use until then. It is the same way for the personal items.

For Elizabeth, she wears diapers (so I have bought diapers and wipes just for the trip) and she has to be cathered. For that, I figure she will need 5 a day for 12 days which is 60 (plus about 10 extra just in case we have a defective one). Thank goodness those come in boxes (ten to a box). So, I have to just grab about seven boxes when the time comes. Thankfully, my mom's boyfriend has a truck. We are going to pack all the suitcases and stuff in the back of his truck. Of course, with the exception of the stuff we will need for the drive down.

In my van, I have some Disney CD's and DVD's we can listen to/watch. I also bought the girls some of the Wonder Colors sets. Also, Liz will have her Nintendo DS (Becca broke hers a couple of weeks ago; so she won't have one this trip :scared1:)

Oh, and did you notice who is also ready??
IMG_0835.jpg

Malificent is hanging out with the luggage. She wants to make sure that we don't forget her.

A few days before we leave, me and my mom will be hitting Sam's to get our non-perishables (we are staying in a house). We will be picking up bottled water (we need 200 bottles just for the parks!!--10 people times 10 days times 2 bottles a day equals 200 bottles :scared1:), gallon water, sodas, quick breakfast foods for the mornings, snacks, easy to prepare food for the evenings(for those who want to eat before bed), washing powder; stuff like that. The perishiable items (like milk) will be picked up after we check into the house.

The only other thing is going to be getting Liz's new prescription (should be able to pick it up this week) and Becca's new prescription (we are going to the doctor on the tuesday before we leave.

And.....................................................

Here is a picture of my girls from Easter Sunday
