See, I am with you southerners. I was always taught that one teapot of water took 5-6 tea bags and 1 cup of sugar as soon as it bowled, let that steep for 15 minutes or so, then you can drink it.And my mother, who was raised in Iowa, when she first started visiting my dad's family in Nashville, TN, got so many glasses of sweet tea, which would of course gross her out. Now the family makes a separate pitcher of unsweet for my mother, and we all make sure it is a different color so we don't drink her yucky tea by mistake!
Wondering how that is done? Food coloring, unsweetened koolaid?
