See, I am with you southerners. I was always taught that one teapot of water took 5-6 tea bags and 1 cup of sugar as soon as it bowled, let that steep for 15 minutes or so, then you can drink it. :thumbsup2 And my mother, who was raised in Iowa, when she first started visiting my dad's family in Nashville, TN, got so many glasses of sweet tea, which would of course gross her out. Now the family makes a separate pitcher of unsweet for my mother, and we all make sure it is a different color so we don't drink her yucky tea by mistake!

Wondering how that is done? Food coloring, unsweetened koolaid?:confused3

Not sooo scarey.....I am trying to think if you were on last year around this time. He had many scarey operations last year in a months span. Three were for his eye, but this helped his vision quite drastically. He went from not being able to see out of his left eye to having better vision than his right eye. He will still will have to wear glasses, but at least his left lens won't look an inch thick. lol:goodvibes

That's great that he has better vision after the surgery :) Like Forest says.... "that's good... One less thang" :)

Howdy all you Limey's.

Hope everyone is having a terrific Tuesday. I've been working a little bit harder at work lately, because I've had to cut the hours of my help. Had to cut him from 40 hours a week down to 30 (can't cut him anymore otherwise he'll lose his benefits).

I've also been playing with our latest toy at home. We've had cable internet for quite awhile, but yesterday we did a trial to get the fastest speed they have. So I've been going crazy downloading stuff.... can't blink or I'll miss the downloads. It's amazingly fast. Sorta like... instead of the drive to work taking 25 minutes, you're there in 3. :cool1: :thumbsup2

MrO's a downloading fool.....sorry....that just came to mind...and made me giggle :lmao:

Stryofoam.

That's all for today.

It's Tuesday.

I'm going back to bed.

Yep, that's me. I see their trick though. I'll get so used to the speed, that I won't want to change back. They got me hooked.:lmao: I've downloaded a ton of stuff in the past 2 days. These were my fastest speeds when I tested them yesterday:

Fastest Download: 1750.1 kB/s
Fastest Upload: 136.3 kB/s
Average Download: 1386.8 kB/s
Average Upload: 71.8 kB/s

Same from here and hugs to all of you!

That was so good. It is warm enough here to use the hammock today.

I was here last year and remember all the trips you had for the not good surgeries! I am glad he can see much better now. My parents did the lasik. My dad hardly has to wear glases, except to read.

Yeah!! on the "new" language and on the "original" (:sad2:) way to boost your count. As you can see, I am learning to multi quote finally!
Good job on the multi-quoting :thumbsup2

Of course not! THAT would be alcohol abuse!!!:lmao:

Kim got this email from a friend of her's yesterday. I think all you mom's will appreciate it.

An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from
his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.
He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep in a corner.

An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out.
The next day he was back, resumed his position in the hall, and slept
for an hour. This continued for several weeks.
Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: "Every afternoon your dog
comes to my house for a nap."
The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar:
"He lives in a home with ten children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?"

:lmao: :rotfl2:

That's great:rotfl: :rotfl: Still wondering how my mom dealt with seven of us and a dog and a cat in our house. :scared1:

My day is going well now. Brought DH to hospital today for a surgery on his left eye. All went well!

We are home now and I pick the kids up from the bus in an hour.

But it's not even a holiday:confused3
