Well, I haven't really read anything....Just wanted to stop by and say hi!!!!

I will probably catch up later.
I have to get my kids dressed, we are headed to sesame place for a few hours.
Today should also be the Kids Workshop at Home Depot. I don't know if any of you have ever taken your kids. But they get aprons, and they get to build a small project, sometimes Disney related. We have mickey bookends, princess/buzz shelves, photo frames, pencil holders. Its a fun (and FREE ) project. ( FYI just don't try to go when the do the race car-tons of scout troups show up)

 Talked to the insurance company today. Tey're sending a check for $2500. Repairs estimated at $8000, and the mechanic says the car's not safe without them. So, dump the car and carpool, or start looking for another car, even though we just put $3000 into the junker (got it out of the shop the day before the accident). I'd cry more, but DH and I passed a fatal accident when we were carpooling yesterday, 1 block from where DD was hit. It put things in perspective.
I hate to spend Disney money on a car, but carpooling every day puts a little strain on our lovey-dovey marriage. I'm always holding him up in the morning (I'm low maintenance, but I have the hardest time getting out of bed in the morning), and he likes to bring his work home in the evening, while I like to stay and get things done.
We're gonna watch Ugly Betty now. No kids in the house, and we have just enough energy to :happytv: .

Oh no! Stupid insurance companies!

Makes me look at the dents in my fender like they're nothing.

Hang in there! :grouphug:

Let me tell you now, don't worry yourself about suggesting a place to eat because then you'll probably be all stressed wondering if we'll like it or not. Just throw the names of some places around--maybe we've heard of them. Course if you do have opinions we'll take them too! :goodvibes

Well, you're too nice Mary!! I will love to check out a few places - hopefully today. It's a DARK and GLOOMY day..... but DH is working so it will depend on how long I can drag DS's around without losing it. :sunny:

I just read DH this post, since he is in the car business. His major suggestion was get another opinion. He also wanted to know if they (insurance) totaled the car, and if the mechanic is stating that its unsafe what exactly is it that he thinks is unsafe. Many accidents can really total a car, even minor ones. He said that if the frame is bent or whatever (he used some technical words, beats me what they are, but that frame being bent was stressed) then the car is completely unsafe, and even if fixed would never be the same again. If that is the case, total the car, and get the insurance money to buy another one. The insurance company will give you what they think the car is worth, and sometimes it works to your benefit.

Either way :grouphug: and I hope everything works out for you.

Ok my fellow lime green friends. I need an opinion on something. Dh and I are celebrating our second anniversary this May, and since the first one still harbored many bad memories and hard feelings from our wedding day it came and went without as much as a Happy Anniversary.

Well this year, since there have been many personal things we have been dealing with, we decided to try and go somewhere for our anniversary. Just us no children. I need help deciding where to go.

Funds are limited. I can go to FL and stay in our timeshare for 4 nights, got really cheap airfare, about 180 round trip for both of us. Buy 'maybe' a few days of passes to WDW. Problem is that when in WDW I would really like to stay onsite, but I have to give it up because the timeshare is free to stay in, and then my budget would go out the door. We will also be going to WDW in August.

Or, we could go to Las Vegas for 5 nights using the timeshare right on the strip. We have never been there before. However, airfare is more than double (as of right now, I will keep shopping).

Dh said he would rather go to Vegas, but FL would be OK too. Thanks for the help pal.

Where would you rather go? and possibly why? Also open to other suggestions :thumbsup2 Thanks all!

Not sure but I don't seem to have a problem doing it. :rotfl:

Maybe its my age, but there are times I think I gain weight on air alone! :sad2:

Boy I am so tired. I don't coach a team for youth hockey, but I do like to go over and help out. Well, started at 8:00 with 35 kids; just me and two other coaches that don't skate. We had three more age groups, and by the last one I was the only one left. I put the little guys through there paces, but towards the end I was draggin. Finished up at about 12:00.:faint:

So, went to eat, came home, took a shower, and now I'm takin it easy watching UTvs. Oklahoma GO HORNS!

We took em when she was 3 and she still talks about it. She loved it -- strollers, talking to Oscar, & the strollers, this was 14 years ago.

Ok here's my opinion: don't go broke trying to re-create happy holidays in the House of the Mouse --I figure go big or stay home :lmao: You mentioned that you will be going in August anyway.

Never been to Vegas BUT everyone I have spoken to who has been LOVED it. Lots to do & see even it you don't gamble. Great shows, wonderful food, nice stuff to just look at.
