I started to make a comment about this, but deleted it. It had to do with carry-on luggage.



Ours wasn't nearly this bad. The brochure said it was a 3-4 hour trip, and that there was a picnic area midway. We packed a lunch with sandwiches, soda, chips and fruit. Diet root beer for the grown-ups, lemon-lime for the kids. When we got to the picnic grounds, there was no running water, and the river water had signs warning about giardia (the microbe from deer waste). So the only fluids we had on this 90+ degree day was a can of soda a piece, and I actually let my kids split the second half of my soda (DD swears it was half backwash, but that's because it was warm by the time we drank it). to my little drama queen and king, that is "almost killing" them. Sheesh.

Sheesh I'm a little slow. I didn't get the Ky until you said something about deleting a post-- then it hit me. I was thinking Ky as in rhymes with Tie. d'uh! LOL at your kids! If that's the worst thing that ever happens to them they will be very lucky indeed!

Nope, believe it or not its Allen! You must be related to my dh though because his is Jack ! I've been taking to calling him Jack for short a lot lately!

We stayed a CR once for a few nights, in the North Garden wing, and by total luck had a beautiful view of the castle. The first room they had assigned us was a loooonnnnggggg walk from the tower and when we opened the door someone else's stuff was still in the room so they switched us to a fantastic room with the castle view! We were on the first floor, so could sit on the patio to watch the fireworks. It was tough to go to sleep that first night because I kept getting up to look out the window and watch the castle change colors!

I've lived my entire life in upstate NY! But let me tell ya when I spend just a weekend in the south, I pick up that wonderful southern accent right away and it takes weeks to leave it behinf. LizzY went to Washington for a conference about 1 year ago and met alot of people from the south. She still uses y'all in her day to day conversation!

I've become a morning person over the last few years. I'm normally up by 6:30 every day. What's weird for me, is that on my days off, I usually wake up earlier than I do on the days I have to work. Go figure.

You know, I hope this doesn't sound mean or rude; I really mean for it to be a helpful observation. I don't think this thread should be a gateway for increasing post count by posting tons of short inconsequential one-liners. There are dozens of games and other threads for just that purpose. Of course I enjoy all our chatter and fun, but I have like three separate posters on ignore because all they really do is spam and make it hard to keep up with what is already a mind-bogglingly fast and busy thread. Now that we're on the CB, we're even more at risk of what is basically hijacking, and it's starting to bother me. I'm not really sure I have any suggestions for solving the problem, but it's annoying enough that I felt compelled to point it out.
