This weekend I was volunteering at a festival for my son's Scout group. So while picking up garbage and browsing the different booth's, I almost got a lime green Mickey air brushed on me for Disney. Only problem was that it would be gone in a week and I wanted it to be around when I went to Disney in 12 days. So he's hoping I find one in DD.

By the way I did get a Henna tattoo of my DS horoscope sign on my ankle but the Mickey I would put on my shoulder.

:rotfl:

:thumbsup2 Glad you came back to post. We missed ya. :goodvibes

Although it was for a good cause, I would have preferred to be posting. Picking up garbage in the blazing sun is not a fun job :guilty:

Ummm..... the last time I said something like that...... my cousin and I took the kids tubing in the river( I have never laughed so much in my life)

I don't know what the kids were expecting.... but the looks on their faces when they realized that there were rocks, dirt AND FISH!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
We took our kids river rafting near Yosemite about five years ago, and they still refer to it as "the time Mom and Dad almost killed us." :rotfl:

I live for danger.

After all, it *is* my middle name!

It _IS_ - I thought it was owl! (Get it... Night-Owl-Ky!!! haha...sorry, now I CAN blame being in the sun a lot - we ended up driving to the bay for the afternoomn/evening.....BEAUTIFUL there!) I have to laugh, it took me about a month to figure out the "ky" part was for Kentucky.....before that I just thought it was a mighty cute little ending to your name!! Really sad, since my name incorperates a state also..... but then Virginia is my name too....your names not Kentucky by any chance???

It could be Kentucky if the price were right! ;)

But, then I'd be more bluegrass than lime green!

:rotfl2: :lmao: at least they started off trusting you! (No more huh?)
Today, at the bay, my 7yo would not get in the water, he thought you werent allowed to swim there. I told him it was fine, we were allowed to...but he wouldnt beleive me.... :confused3 Then, as we left, he saw people in the water and wanted to swim (too late kid!) I asked him why he wouldn't before and he said , so casually "oh, mom I thought you were wrong..." (what again?!)

So how many more posts to get past "Earning my Ears"?
I've heard it mentioned that it takes 500, or 5,000, or 5 million posts. Something like that.

What part of Ontario scuba girl.? I've got family from Peterborogh, and friends from Windsor and Oshawa(sp?).

Starting fights? Me? What are the rumors? :)

Probably in the political threads (I'm not one to put up with talking points and insults ;) )

Nice! I am not sure whether to hang is on the balcony or the front door. I know they suggest front door, but you'd be surprised.
I posted on both, and I posted more than one in each place. The ones on our front door, I posted with my user name and waited for other people to sign. Nobody did, but somebody swiped one on the last day, and another DISer told me by PM that she saw them.

By the way, PM'ing counts towards your posts, doesn't it? A lot of stuff goes on this board that's really between two people. I thought I was the crabby one, because I would feel frustrated when coming home from a day out and finding 20 pages some days. If you're asking something you think everyone wants to know, like if Jacqueline is doing better today (and I hope you are dear :sunny: ) then ask it on here. But if you are asking something just specifically between you and someone else, pm it. Added benefit-as soon as they go on the board, it'll pop up for them.
that's my two cents. Thanks.

You know, I wore nice makeup, etc. on the plane down but by the time I came home, I couldn't have cared less and just went barefaced. I think I was more comfortable without it on a 5 hr flight! I'm glad to hear they're allowing solid lip gloss or chapstick, though. That's hard to go without for 5 hours (though I'm sure I could do it if I had to.) That and a brush are about all I need till I'm on the ground.

Hey it is not fair to say what you did and not give details!!!!!!!!! When my ds9 was a little younger than 2 we went canoeing (sp?) Well we hit hard rapids and he fell out of the canoe and slipped out of his life jacket. I guess he had unbuckled the bottom part of his life jacket and I didn't know. Man was that the scarest moment of my life. I jumped in and flipped our canoe and dumped 2 other adults. My uncle jumped out of their canoe and flipped their canoe. Fisherman jumped in from a bridge and saved him. I was so scared. Man do I always check and double check my kids in their life jackets now. Hard lesson learned.
