Yeah, I love my job, and the actual hours away from home can't be beat (still workin' when I'm here, though, which is something I work on lessening with every passing semester). Wish I got paid better for what I do, but you're right about the "quality of life" thing. Some things, money can't buy. Lots of vacation time, though I gotta learn to take summers off instead of teaching a class to afford vacation!! I haven't had a summer off in 4 years and I soooo miss it. Hoping I can do it again next year.

(that's fingers crossed by the way, not the bird!)

My former job was working for a Software Company in charge of this whole hemispheres customer base! They thinked they OWNED YOUR SOLE!!!!! Call you on Sunday night at 11:00pm, make you be in Montreal @ 7:00am kinda stuff! Finally after the CEO pulled a Enron on us.....I too after a 6 month cool down, and family decisions I now work a EZ 3 day job!!!!! :woohoo: It was a significant paycut...BUT....I dont eat out anywhere near where I did, Drycleaning bills are MUCH less....Much less driving....wear/tear on my cell phone & brain.....It actually works out more $$$$$ in my pocket!

Cyn, Disunc is right (DID I SAY THAT????) - water, water, water!! On my latest Target trip I got these Country Time individual serving packets you toss in your h2o bottle - pretty cool. I figure wiht kids the extra sugar will hlep them (and honestly me...) drink that much more. And they were marked down to $2.10 for a pack of 10!!!!!

Well, dangit. I bought one of those sprayer fan squirt bottles (which is much bigger than I really want to carry) from, you guessed it, Wal-mart for $4. Sooooo, if you WOULDA paid $50 for yours at WDW, how much did you actually pay for it? Do you have a picture? What does it look like? DH had a Misty Mate or whatever in mind (he thinks mine is lame). It really would be nice to be prepared in this area.

18.00 Same size as WalMarts....(see previous post) I will take a pic for you tommorrow (in storage right now...getting tommorrow) They are Noxema blue, see thru...with Dis characters on it! TRUST ME YOU WONT MIND LUGGING IT AROUND! You'd loose a kid before you loose this! :thumbsup2

Ds is about the same maybe even a little worse. The only thing he does do is drink so I'm not too worried about him be dehydrated yet although when he sweats off a fever it's just like he got out of a shower he is so soaked.

Just talked to the doc on call and she hasn't gotten any pages about abnormal labs and thinks his symptoms may sound like mono. So I guess we'll see what the doc says in the morning when all the labs are in.

:guilty: :grouphug: :grouphug:

On the bright side I'm taking a little time away today to meet a friend for lunch who I haven't see in 2 years and I can't wait.

Cool, hope you had a great time!

OOOh cynderella! I may come knocking on your door! As long as they're traditional LG margaritas. When's the party? party:
:sunny: Boy, I *wish* I knew when my family was going to plan on being stationary, cause I would totally have a party. I wish we weren't getting in so late on the 1st. I'd have had you and DISUNC over to celebrate!

(And, yes, I am especially fond of the traditional LIME GREEN type

I imagine we'll end up getting some of these too - they only had one box of the lemonade. We tried them on our crazy trip to the park today - SUPER!!! (THey were made for a16.9 oz bottle and we had a 24 oz - so we took two swallows and added it - perfect!!) YUM!!! I think iots such a great idea.

Hey Disunc - does the WDW one have hard or soft blades? I know you said it was tough.....so I guess that means hard.... I'm wondering about that w/ a 3yr old. I was thinking about one Sharper Image has on clearance. Was 20 - now 10 - but figure its ok quality? :confused3

Have had my Crystal Light packed away in the plastic tubs (you know, the ones on the counter of my landing, as in the pic) for several weeks now. Planning to buy a case of water on our grocery run first day we get there (not to mention coffee, tequila :sunny:, margarita mix, chips & salsa, snacks, citronella candles for the balcony, and oh yeah, food!). I really think we're prepared (for everything but the humidity). Now if we can just get a good deal on a rental car for the week instead of just the first day, we'll be able to run over to Wal-mart any old time we think of something else we need (not to mention not take 60+ min to get to our Boma and 'Ohana ADRs).

Good question??!!! Actually, I'm surprised the Nat. guard wasnt sent out - at the same park a kid climbed over a small fence 6 months ago, or so, and a bear bit him - so they put down the two bears in the enclosesure ???!!!! The whole city was in an uproar (the kid barely had a scratch....the city said they had to test BOTH bears for rabies, since they didnt know which one did it...) It was bad - the parents even got death threats, people missed their bears. The one we went to see today is a new baby "replacement" bear. (This "City" park takes abandoned or orphaned animals....) Anyway, bears didnt have rabies...so sad. BUT,the biggest thing was that last week they found a hedgehog with rabies....so even though I think people tend to over react to some things...I WAS a teancy bit on edge. Interesting day.

I VOW to NEVER step foot in Richmond VA EVER AGAIN! :scared1: It all sounds like DAWN OF THE BEAST!

DENIED at Target today.

I went to pick up a couple more of the Champion "Duo Dry" shirts that are great for running/jogging or walking around in 95F and 80% humidity ;)

I saw a LIME GREEN one and thought, Excellent! But then I saw it was an XL and I thought, Denied!

:(

Yeah I got denied at Target too! I SWEAR I paid the Bill!!!!! :confused3

How did you like the FW Cabins??? I always wanted to stay there & The CR!!!
I use to live in a REAL LOG Cabin!!! :thumbsup2

We loved it. It was perfect for my family. We're actually torn about where to stay the next time we come back because we liked it so much. Having the full kitchen was great. Trying to decide if we should stay there again or give another place a try. The only other cabins we've been to were cabins at Yogi Bear which were great too, but FW's were much nicer. At Yogi though there's more room to do things right outside your cabin including a campfire which DW doesn't allow. However DW had a maid come everyday, they had someone come clean off the porch & even someone to clean out the outside grill. We stayed in the 2700 loop. The bus service was fantastic.

The only downside was our shower clogged twice & the toilet clogged once-- we had to have maintainance come. The other big thing was on our last full day we returned to our room from the AK & EVERY cabinet in our kitchen & living room was standing open. The door opens into the kitchen & looks in the lr. I had been locking my purse in my car, but dh locked it in a cabinet for that day only. We never did find anything missing, but that left us with a very creepy feeling! If someone was sneaking around why leave EVERY cabinet open. Dh complained to the manager & they ended up giving us money back. They offered to let us stay at the resort the full day we were leaving, but we just wanted to go. :sad2:

Even though those things happened we still enjoyed it enough to consider going back there. :goodvibes

Now come on guys...we should have known the PROFESSOR (a.k.a. Ms. Organized) was ready!!! Just wait 'til the humidity hits that boufant!!! She'll be getting the rental car to get over to Walgreens for the SUPER industrial strenght AQUA NET!!!! !!!!! :goodvibes
