hi guys- i will be in disney 9/16-*9/24 look for my green mickey on my handbag and my POFQ window!

oh and ps- the MLPers got closed down- check my link below to find us!

Good day everyone,

Life is about the same here. I'm going to start working on my lgmhpc today. Thought I would try the water method with some of the sonic boom in case it doesn't work out. Otherwise a cutting I will be.

Ds is about the same maybe even a little worse. The only thing he does do is drink so I'm not too worried about him be dehydrated yet although when he sweats off a fever it's just like he got out of a shower he is so soaked.

Just talked to the doc on call and she hasn't gotten any pages about abnormal labs and thinks his symptoms may sound like mono. So I guess we'll see what the doc says in the morning when all the labs are in.

On the bright side I'm taking a little time away today to meet a friend for lunch who I haven't see in 2 years and I can't wait.

Maybe you should? You could make it your special secret?? I mean, that alone wont cure him...but you feel SO blah when you're sick -especially as a little kid (esp. when you're missing games, things your brothers are doing, etc.) ...it might just help cheer him up a bit (make him feel extra special and always be a sweet memory for him...) My older son and I sit in his bed some nights and I pull up the Disney site on the laptop. We pick out rides that go on our "must-do" list and look at pictures of "must EAT" food, etc. Before I know it he's tired and in a very good mood! We did it before out last trip and now for this one - maybe just one night a week - but it makes for a really nice quiet time for us.

Ofcourse, if you dont want to share the secret with just him that's understandable. Really, any special time will cheer him up....I still remember (and for some dorky reason its one of my most fond memories...) the Cinderella paperdoll book my mothers best friend brought me when I had chicken pox. (I didnt even like princesses - I was SUCH a tomboy - but I just loved it - made me feel VERY special!)

Hope he's feeling MUCH better VERY fast. You take care too!

I decided not to tell him yet. I bought him a stuffed pillow/stuffed animal thing that he has been begging for several months. I got it right before we went to the doc so it made it nice for him to snuggle in the office and while getting his blood drawn. He is so happy about this pillow I'm hoping that I won't feel the need to tell him about the trip more than my usual excitement level.

what do you guys bring in summer on the chance that those air conditioned rides/shows/restaurants are a little chilly on bare shoulders after the intense heat?

We went in Sept of 2001 and I bought cute little matching red sweat shirts for my boys thinking how cute the'd look one those "chilly" nights and they never left the suit case. BUT, you never know what the weather will bring and as the OP pointed out the AC can get chilly. So, yeah a little wrap could be in order - maybe.... you'll see.... but even when soaked to the bone, and standing in top AC you may be hot!!!! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

BTW, long lost cousin Ernie woldn't come out of his cave - too hot I guess. AND three foxes escaped and my sons and I were "trapped" in a lttile Japenses gazebo for about 15 minutes, while one of them ran around the Japenese gardens. It would have been more funny except they were getting pretty scared - I had them stand up on a bench with plans to throw their soccer balls at him if he came into the house?? (I wouldnt want to hurt him, ofcourse, but I had to give them some sort of plan - and just last week a hedgehog was found in the same park with rabies....great, huh... Fun otherwise!!

 I hope you find out something soon..DH had mono many, many years ago, he said they had him spit into a cup (with chemicals in it) and it turned BLUE...they said, "Yep, you've got mono!" He was soooo weak and tired for a few weeks and then he was ok..Hope your DS turns around soon.

OMG, it was 103 here today. Tomorrow is supposed to be 105 with monsoon conditions. I say again, if FL is that much worse than this, WHO on god's EARTH would go to WDW this time of year!? If it is that bad, the parks should be deserted!!!
tongue.gif

That's what I keep trying to figure out. I LIVE here, and I wouldn't go to WDW this time of year if you PAID me (well, maybe to WL only to hang out at the pool!!!)

Glad that helped - stuffed animals help everything!!! Lordy, when I was little I was SUCH a stuffed animal freak!!! Didnt like Barbies, couldnt stnd baby dolls - but give me a stuffed animal (preferably a BEAR) and I was happy!!!
Had mono at 14 (unlucky me, not from kissing, but from drinking soda after my friends brother, no less!!! [those darn friends brothers!!!] - bleh) - SO SO TIRED....for weeks and weeks on end .... Disney would be tough on him...keep your fingers crossed - we will too!!!!

I agree - I laughed out loud when I saw it - which made my boys look over at me like I was :dance3: . (I think I'm too uptight if my laughing makes them jump!)

Hey y'all, I need some help...I have been waiting for my Mousesavers newsletter to come out on the 15th (that is today, right?) checked my inbox...nothing...on the MS it says it may take 24 hours to get from them to me... :confused3 (why?) anywho....I need it to get some kind of extra discount code for the two suggested ticket brokers they have...been waiting for it...

Has anyone received their newsletter yet? Please don't delete it, I may be begging for a copy if I somehow didn't receive mine...

:thanks:

I've got mine, if you still need it, pm me your email and I'll forward it to you.

Good question??!!! Actually, I'm surprised the Nat. guard wasnt sent out - at the same park a kid climbed over a small fence 6 months ago, or so, and a bear bit him - so they put down the two bears in the enclosesure ???!!!! The whole city was in an uproar (the kid barely had a scratch....the city said they had to test BOTH bears for rabies, since they didnt know which one did it...) It was bad - the parents even got death threats, people missed their bears. The one we went to see today is a new baby "replacement" bear. (This "City" park takes abandoned or orphaned animals....) Anyway, bears didnt have rabies...so sad. BUT,the biggest thing was that last week they found a hedgehog with rabies....so even though I think people tend to over react to some things...I WAS a teancy bit on edge. Interesting day.

DENIED at Target today.

I went to pick up a couple more of the Champion "Duo Dry" shirts that are great for running/jogging or walking around in 95F and 80% humidity ;)

I saw a LIME GREEN one and thought, Excellent! But then I saw it was an XL and I thought, Denied!

?????? Anyhow ...I've been to both......You will Be AMAZED at the difference in size between DL & MK! Very Very VERRRRYYYYY noticeable difference. Especially since you are so use to DL. The walk up Mainstreet in MK is like 5x more than DL. To tell you the truth I like DL Fantasyland a bit better.....Much more quaint! :thumbsup2 I was so familiar with MK when I went to DL is was all very familiar yet very different. It was weird! One of my all time favorite things is having dinner/lunch at the resturant attatched to the POC ride in DL. I REALLY REALLY like that too in DL! :wizard:

I am very interested to get your feelings when you come back.
