our pressed penny adventure!

Hi! Just back from a week at POR. My ds decided he wanted to collect all 7 dwarf pressed pennies. Of course we needed 5 more and they were all at resorts. We had a blast spending one whole day hopping from resort to resort. We went to Poly, FW, Y&BC, CS with a side trip to the store at AK for a dinosaur. We used boats, buses and the monorail and got to see different resorts. Thanks to intercot.com for the pressed penny list.

I did that a few times when I was there in 01- Its a great adventure thats quite cheap I ended up with 5 complete sets (Dwarfs, pooh, villians, princess, & mickey)

Wish I wouldve had time this trip because I *really* wanted the Lilo set but didn't have time..

Or you could be like my mom -- spending over $400 and using a week of her stay to do nothing but gather pennies and quarters from all over WDW.

hi-go to intercot.com. Look near the top of the page and click on the folder tab that says 'info central'. Scroll down till you see "miscellaneous" then look under elongated coins. Here is the exact address.

The only mis information that we found was the 100 years of disney quarters. They were there, but they were 75 years of disney, not 100. Have fun!

Can you get a list of all the pressed penny machines at WDW at check-in or do they only have listings of the resorts?

How Cool! Love that you did this! Your ds will surely remember that as one of the highlights of his trip!

I did something similiar in Dec with the Christmas list pins - did all of the parks, TTC, the Poly, DD in one afternoon getting stamps, buying pins and had a blast!

You just gave me an idea for our trip in July!

Yeah, I definitely think he'll remember the adventure. It was funny because he is only 10 but he kept coming up with better ideas than me to get from one place to another! It was like a scavenger hunt! We were lucky with transportation but it still took us a long time. We ate at Beaches & Cream during our quest and he has decided that YC is his favorite resort! Next he wants to collect all the mickeys around WS. Hey, I can handle that!
