<<tapping fingers on desk :rolleyes1 >>

Patiently waiting up here in Boston!!!

Sheesh....you're pushy Pixie!!! :thumbsup2

Well, now that Tiggerwannabe has given me more to think about, it sounds like I'll have to call Disney Dining again today...

Just when I thought I could relax a bit!!

Is it cold up there by the way?

This will be our first Halloween where Michael's costume doesn't need to be big enough to fit a snowsuit under it!! It's supposed to be close to 80 here today...

Not rubbing that in or anything....making conversation while you tap your fingers...

:thumbsup2

I gotta get back to work...get something done - even if it's wrong!!

More later!!

I'll second the vote for CA Grill - yuummmmmy! And how 'bout Blue Zoo? I keep hearing good things about it. I always liked Artist's Point, too.
Let us know what you wind up going for!

Ok, I don't know if this is a good choice or not - if not I blame V! :rolleyes1

Well, I tried for the Cali Grill, but they only had a 9:20pm and I figured since I'd have missed Wishes by that time, that I'd try something else. LeCellier was all booked so I ended up with a 6:15 at....drum roll please.....

Artist Point! I wanted to try that place when we stayed at WL earlier this year, so I figured I'd go for it....and of course as soon as I got off the phone with Dining, I got buyers remorse and have been making myself crazy all afternoon trying to decide if that's the right choice...

Rather than make myself nuts, should I keep it??

I also booked 2 nights at the Neverland Club for the little man...of course, if he wants to go more often, I'll have to let him!! :thumbsup2 He loves those places so I figure it's his vacation and if he wants to go more often, as long as it doesn't break the bank, we should probably think about it...even if it's for a couple of hours...

Ok, so let's hear it...should I stay with Artist Point??? Come on gals...what do I do??? :confused3

Restaurant at POR? Boatwright's Dining Hall!

I'm reading my passporter guide and Boatwright's is apparently a very popular sit down restaurant...it's "rustic and hearty" and serves everything from cajun to surf and turf~

Where do you think you'd like to go while you handsome little boy is in neverland?

DTD? O'hana's?

Ooooh! California Grill!!!! :thumbsup2

Artist's Point...What do you think?

By the way, I wasn't able to reply to your last post on the completed TR, but Dec. 08 sounds do-able...and Ohh...New Year's Eve! Wouldn't that be exciting!!

Just stopping in to say hi :) I'm enjoying your pre-trip report so far. I'm in major planning mode for our first trip ever to DW and reading about others planning gives me the warm fuzzies :)

By the way...I grew up in Maine and of course am a diehard Red Sox fan ;). But since baseball season is over we should be good.

Can't wait to read more...and I'll get to your previous trip report soon.

Edited to add: I forgot to say your son is adorable!!

Hi!! Thanks for stopping by! Hope I can keep your attention thru the end!! ;)

Hmmm....another Red Sox fan, eh? Well, I won't hold it against you!! :rotfl2:

Good luck with your planning...I look forward to reading something from YOU (hint, hint)...

Ahhh....too much pressure to perform by all of the great trip report writers out there! Maybe I'll take a stab at it at some point.

I've heard good things about Artist Point. But obviously...I've never been to any of the restaurants! We have ADR's for 50's Prime Time Cafe, O'Hana's and the Biergarten. I'm also thinking of doing Boma's for breakfast one day. I was going to plan a special night out with the hubby (my parents are going along for part of the trip so we have built in babysitters!), but not sure if that'll happen.

Ooh...a built in babysitter...I'm so jealous!

We're eating at O'Hana's too - never been there before either...should be fun! Well pick a night out for yourselves and make an ADR at a nice place...treat yourselves!!

Hi again...

I'm here on my blackberry, so if there are any typos I blame it ;)

My home pc is :badpc:

Artist point should be perfect for you two. I'm wondering if you two could take in fireworks after dinner. Do you have a wishes schedule? Specifically? Take the wl ferry to mk and monorail yourself back to the poly and watch from the hotel maybe from a hammock on their beach.

Ill send you a link to our cruisin thread later so you can catch each update as my fellow discruisers and I work out the details, k?

I have never eaten at Artist's point - and I have read that it is not AS good as Cali Grill. . . . but Cali Grill is incredible, my DH who doesn't usually care or say much about food still talks about what he ate. . . BUT 9:20 is late (that was the time for our AR, but Wishes was at 10). I say keep the ressie, but keep checking back!

Ok, so now I'm thinking of switching Artist Point to Shula's....

I'm going to go out of my mind!!! What's wrong with me? I should be able to make a plan and stick to it...big, heavy sigh...

First thing this morning I started looking at Bluezoo...then moved on down the website to Shula's....ARGH...

Luckily I have to get ready for work so I can take a break from the madness!!!

You do not have to listen to me, BUT I have been to the ORIGINAL Shula's in Miami and it was good, but not worth the price. . . my DH still laughs about what a rip off it was, and we had a $20 gift certificate. You should definately do as you wish, however, that is my honest opinion. I am also of the opinion that I like to try things I cannot try anywhere else but Disney/Orlando. . .

Still waiting....... :confused3

These 2 line posts don't cut it, missy. :rotfl: :rotfl:

And actually, it's quite warm up here. Like an early spring day! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I've heard the same form a couple folks I know who've been to the Miami Shula's. Not bad at all, but not fantabulous either.

Gee whiz Lauralee, no pressure on ME or anything! ;) But I'll go out on a limb anyway and say stick with Artist Point. To be fair, I haven't been in about 5 years, so I recommend checking the food reviews on All Ears Net, but I remember the food being amazing. I had their signature wood-plank salmon once and a filet another time - both were perfect in every way. My ex had some kind of alternative meat - either buffalo or elk, I think - and his was awesome, too. And you can't beat the atmosphere! Some really interesting wine varietals, too.

There you have it. Feel free to strip me of all lime priviledges and send me to time out if you go and I'm wrong!

Ok, so I couldn't decide...:sad2:

I love a good steak.

I really want to try Artist Point.

I really wanted to try LeCellier on an EMH night at Epcot.

I wish I could be like the guy on Heroes and freeze time long enough to hack into Dining Services and add myself on the schedule for December 8th, say around 6ish?

I really wish I could make up my mind.

I wish someone would plan a trip for ME with this much love, concern and pixie dust! pixiedust:

I made myself crazy all morning long....So I did the only thing I could think of...
I booked BOTH Artist Point and Shula's...I booked Shula's for the night of the 4th and cancelled our Mama Melrose and kept Artist Point for Friday the 8th.

And I made reservations for Neverland Club for those 2 nights - did I mention that? We can have 2 nice evenings out. I hope there's other kids there...I would hate to think of Michael being there alone. See...I think of this kind of crap all the time...my head is a dangerous place to be my friends...

And yeah, and now I have buyers remorse...did I mention that I get that? A lot.

And I've got it now...the thought of those 2 expensive dinners is eating away at my brain...had we stayed in SSR, we could have cooked half those nights...Oh no! What have I done? I can't stop myself...I need to stay away from this computer and just sit on my hands for awhile. I could cancel every other dinner reservation...right now the voice in my head is making that ARGH screaming sound like Charlie Brown...know what I mean?

I reserved seats for the Finding Nemo musical preview for the 3rd...pretty psyched about that...love the little AP perks.

I also ordered my customized maps on Disney's website. And of course, as soon as I completed my transaction, thought that I should have done it differently.

Anyone wonder how my husband is still here after all these years?

I do.

A lot.

I'm not so sure I would be...:confused3

Unless of course, I got magical, planned-with-love-and-sprinkled-with-pixie-dust vacations twice a year like he does...

He's like a stray dog...I give him the good stuff like that and he stays!! In exchange he takes out the trash and kills bugs. It works for us! :rotfl:

And did I mention that this time 30 days from now I'll be eating at Boma?!?!?! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Great...where were you girls at 5:30 this morning?!?!? You left me alone to make my own decision!! Aaaack!!! Well, maybe Shula's will be good, and like Adi said I too like to try things I can't do outside of Disney/Orlando. DH and I are big fans of red meat...carnivores all the way, so I think I'll be unhappy if I don't try it...

Well, we'll see... :rotfl:

Thanks sweetie!! I just posted some more!

It was 81 here today...I called my friend in NH and left a message on his machine this afternoon that said...

"Hi...it's me...I really needed to call and tell someone this. I wish you were there to pick up the phone...I just needed to share this with you...Can you believe it's November 1st by the way??? Oh - the reason that I called...was to tell you that it's November 1st and it's 81 degrees out and I've got the freakin' air conditioning blasting!!!!" And then I let out a loud, long evil laugh and hung up!!! :rotfl2:

Ok, you're killing me Adi...now I'm even more undecided!!! You are such an enabler of my manic behavior!!!! :rotfl:

Do you have a wishes schedule?

Why yes, I do...

I wish I could be about 45 pounds lighter between now and Thanksgiving
I wish I had naturally straight hair all year long
I wish I had more DVC points than I do now at this moment
I wish I could make up my mind and keep it there

See....I have a wishes schedule...none of them are keeping up with me though!! :teeth:

Wishes are at 8pm on December 8th my newbie friend...

Keep the ressies you have and play it by ear when you get there...ressies can be changed at the hotel, at the parks and from a cell phone. Wait and see what the mood is and change them at that moment if necessary. You might be ready for some beef and if not, cross your fingers and call dining. Considering the time of year you'll be there, ressies shouldn't be too hard to get at the last minute, honestly.
