We just returned from WDW this morning and I could not wait to sit down and write a dining review. We had SO much good food! We tried a few new places, which was nice, and revisited a few old favorites. Most of these reviews are for my family, even though we were part of a magical gathering. Magical? Yes! Gathering? Not so much. Since my husband and I have two small children (2 and 7 months), and my sister has two older children (3 and 6), we spent more time relaxing while they were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We did however, have a few meals together so I will introduce you to the crowd.

Me, 30, Gina
DH, 30, Billy
DS, 2, Will
DD, 7 Months, Gemma
DGranny, 55, Ann (my mom)
Dsis, Amanda, 33
DNephew, 6, Sam
DNeice, 3, Sophie
DMIL, Connie, 55
DFIL. Larry, 62

My sister's husband, Clint, decided not to join us so Amanda brought my mom instead. My mom is skinny and isn't obsessed with food like the rest of us, so my poor sister didn't eat as much as we did. ( They were all staying in the same room). My husband and I have been doing Weight Watchers since February (and it is working wonderfully...we are still losing lots of weight!) and we were ready to eat like pigs for a week. I am also breastfeeding, so I am constantly starving. Sorry for all the info! On to the food.

June 1st- Arrival day

Our plane landed around 1:15. Since we flew into Sanford, we rented a van and headed to WDW. My in-laws beat us to the hotel. We were all staying at POFQ and it was wonderful to be back! We love this hotel. Anyway, our first day tradition is to take the boat to Downtown Disney and eat at The Earl of Sandwich. It absolutely did not disappoint!

Here is everyone outside of the restaurant. (I'm taking the picture and Gemma is hidden in the back of the double stroller)

My inlaws split the Cannonballs! sandwich and a side of cole slaw. They loved it. My DFIL is a cole slaw expert and said it was good.

My mom got the Chinese Chicken salad and really enjoyed it.

All three kids got the pizza sandwich and they were devoured very quickly.

DH and I split the Cannonballs! and a tuna melt. My sister also got the Tuna Melt. It is OMGoodness wonderful. I could eat this everyday. Get the tuna melt!

We actually got a table inside for all ten of us. It was slightly chaotic and the kids were acting wild. They were so excited to be at WDW. Here's a shot of Sam and Will, crunching on chips.

My son busted his forehead open and had to get it glued shut the day before we left for WDW. Oh the joys of having a son! So, you will notice in the pictures his band aids and bruises. I promise I don't beat him! (much). haha

Up next: Princess Breakfast in Norway.

ooh, i am totally subbing to this thread... we'll be doing wdw w/a 6mos old bf'ing baby in september and i'd love to hear how your meals went, how you sat gemma in the restaurants (high chair? bring stroller? car seat?), and if she was eating any solids by then, etc...

oh, and plus i'm a total foodie and love your descriptions and photos already! :)

tia!

I was a little scared to go with such a young baby (I took my son when he was 11 months old, still nursing, but only 4-5 times a day) but it was great. She is a very good baby, and during meals we would sit her in a high chair or leave her in the stroller. If she got fussy, someone would jiggle her. She is eating solid food, stage 2 baby food. I have to admit though, I'm a lazy mama and would rather just nurse her. We fed her food about once a day at WDW. She's just not that interested yet, even though she seems to enjoy bananas. Good luck on your trip! WDW is very baby friendly.

Not to highjack your thread, but my dd4 was only 3 months when we went. The baby stations are fabulous, just to get out of the heat (we went mid January and it was hot), sit and put your feet up to nurse and to have some private space for diaper changing as well. AK's is the best one! I nursed her all over, even in the Castle while we had lunch, on rides (IASW was great, since it was long).

June 2- Princess Breakfast!

We were really looking forward to this meal, since my niece is just at the right age to be princess crazy. Unfortunately, our day got off to a stressful start when our bus did not show up for Epcot. We waited for 45 minutes and then eventually got in the vans (my sister drove to WDW). Amanda was very stressed out and got me upset and I shed a few tears on the way to Epcot. DH calmed me down, and we ended up not even being late. My FIL was completely wrecked from all the travel the day before so they didn't join us. (He has some health problems). Anyway, breakfast was wonderful. Belle greeted us and she was so beautiful...the best Belle I've ever seen. Check her out...

We started with the cold bar, which had really fresh fruit and these awesome muffins. I can't remember if they were cranberry or lingonberry. The salami was good, and my mom tried the fish offerings. She said it was OK.

Does any one else agree that WDW has the best grapes? Yum.

Our server then brought out the hot food. I am obsessed with WDW link sausage. It is delicious, and I love it. This made me very happy. The potatoes were soft and creamy and yummy. I love scrambled eggs and these were good. I am not a fan of the bacon since it was so crispy and overcooked. I like to chew bacon fat and I hate it when it's crispy. Would you believe I used to be a vegetarian? I can't believe I just wrote that I love to chew bacon fat. Sigh.

Of course we gobbled this down and our server promptly brought us more!

I know this is a dining review but I can't resist posting these pictures of my kids. Will was enchanted with the princesses. Look at this face...

Could you just die?

Mulan was the only princess who noticed Gemma...which is great because she's my favorite princess, as you can see.

If you are debating doing a princess breakfast, I say do it! We had so much fun. I will add more pictures in my trip report, but I hope you can tell how priceless some of these pictures are. My son is a little ladies man!

Up next: More food! I can't find my notes so I'm not sure what!

Can't wait to see more. Did you have any trouble making your ADR's? I have to make mine for our upcoming Dec trip soon.

Love your review so far! We are taking DD to the Princess Breakfast and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!

we *love* the norway breakfast... if you did not try the brown cheese (queen's cheese? it also has a long norwegian name) you definitely missed the best item on the cold buffet!! but that's what next time is for :)

so far sounds great! thanks for the info on bringing along baby... i can't wait and hope my experience is as good as yours!
