When I had my AP, she said I could save the ticket. (I was the only one with my AP) It's funny you ask, because I was going to ask her if I am getting the tickets prior to the trip (to do the FP). On MDE, my reservation comes up as a room only so I betcha those tickets may be separate Corporate discounted tickets. That was clear as mud wasn't it.... Where's our Sheila..she may know

Neverending Saga

Well Dh and I have one day at GF std RPC then 2 days Deluxe King RPC 11/8-11/11. I got 2 sets of MB's.

We have one night 1/1-1/2 at GF in Sl and then to VGF 1/2-1/5. (no MB's available)

Today I booked dd and I for 1/5-1/8 for our mom and me portion with Disney Visa discount.

So i look and MB's there for DD and I but only, I repeat ONLY grey came up for color option. So now I have red, pink and grey and yet DD only has grey.

I am not going to tell her, YOU tell her

trish maybe the color options will change, I read that some people's MB customize option disappeared and IT said it was due to the option being offered too soon. From what I can get of the whole mess the option should show up about 5-6 weeks out tht would mean Definately It would be too soon for a Jan arrival

FYI, I started a F&W review on the dining review forum.

miss yes I lost all of them.. Sometimes I found one that fell off, mostly not. I went thru 2 sets of them too!!! after I lost all the Mickey Heads of the first set, I went down to the YC gift shop, and told them about the problem. They gave me another set. All those fell out too. I give up. We even turned it into a game with periodic checks, lol. 2:00, 3 Mickey Heads still on!

Maybe if you put nail polish on the stick it would help them stay in?

Renos coming along. Stairs almost finished. Upstairs going to be painted this week. Some ceilings done. Window trims next? I have hope that by middle of next week upstairs will be painted. Bathroom almost done upstairs. Need new kitchen lighting. I think everything should be done in the next 2-3 was. I hope!!

40 days to go!! I am getting excited now! The DD's have started asking to stay at AOA though, that is kind of unsettling. DH does not want to switch. I have created the dreaded CL monster.

I think May might be AOA, or not...who knows!

Just checking in! We got back in last night from a fantastic trip. Lots of pics and observations to discuss! But, I left fantasyland and landed in reality, where there is a gov't shutdown. The bright side is that DH has been deemed "essential" and is exempt from the furlough, however, it is still unclear when exactly they will be paid for their work... So.....I'm just gonna think positive and keep calm....

So we are here! Yesterday was sooo fabulous. First of all, I absolutely LOVE the Wilderness Lodge! This place is amazing! We spent an hour or so just walking around and checking everything out. Then grabbed a bite and headed over to MK.

Jen: Oh no, AoA! Miss M has mentioned wanting to stay there quite a few times... and then the Magical Depress pulled in to pick folks up when we were headed back to the airport. Should've seen her eyes light up.

Excellent tip! Going to do that for Miss M's "bling", for sure. I can only imagine the looks the mousekeeping'll have when they see Gorilla Glue sitting on the counter. I'm not sure I'll be able to resist the safer "cover" option since they've got a Haunted Mansion themed one.

Hi guys. The snowbirds are coming back, the snowbirds are coming back!!!! With snowbirds comes busy busy weeks ahead for our business. No complaints, just quicker pop-ins on the DIS.

Well, against my better judgement we broke it to mom that the dreaded WDW she loves was again on her horizon. Tough life she has. Her new psychiatrist told her yesterday to pop a Xanax whenever she leaves the house... so we thought it was a great time to spring it on her!!! We'll see...

We are discussing the "travel agency banned to be named on the DIS

They do have the Dessert party on MVMCP nights, but you do need a ticket for the party. They were pretty strict in checking wristbands after 7pm last year. We are opting for the free cocoa and sugar cookies

sjs I think some super glue is prob even better! I hope they improve design, just adding a small flexible disc on the end that would flare out after going thru hole would be good.

Miss bathroom lighting is pot lights. Downstairs rec room is a combo of pot lights near stairs, then I found some ceiling mount lights with white marble looking shades with nickel clasp and matching wall sconces. Kitchen yet to be determined

It is nerve wracking, for rec room I had a different bunch of lights, then changed my mind, like any good RCer, and returned them for different ones!
I've also changed paint ideas, good thing painter doesn't go get the paint till the day of

I think sjs has a good idea of bringing super glue for the band. That would keep them in!

All checked in!!! My only request was a balcony, so fingers crossed 59 more days until hugs from my RC family in my happy place, and surprising unlike my issues at GF..no cold feet with the Poly construction. Probably since it is not a resort focused trip

We rec'd an invite to test MB etc on Thursday saying we needed to customize by Oct 23 MDE said by 10/4 and our bands shipped today overnight UPS but won't be here until Monday

Paid off our RO Ressie this morning and put in an order for GG. We decided why pay $17.99+tax for mugs better just order water, soda, ex-tra coffee and creamers and a few other items. The mugs are ok when you get them with the dining plan but we hardly use them. At least now I won't have to listen to Bob moan about having to make a coffee run.

Took Bella to the vets yesterday for a mini check up, we just had her there in June but she had a hot spot shes been scratching, was running a slight fever and now is on antibiotics for 10 days. Plus her Distemper and Rabies were due.

Oh she lost 3 lbs I was sure she lost more

But it is all good, in 29 Days I will be in Disney!

WL is just a resort you need to walk around and soak it all in, we loved both our stays there and I was quite surprised when I asked Bob if he'd rather stay @ WL again or AKL and he chose AKL since WL use to be his favorite resort

So I've been thinking .... always a dangerous thing to do. I may cancel my DL Diva trip this year and do a spring trip to WDW instead. I've been running the numbers and I can actually do a FL trip cheaper than DL especially if I stay at a timeshare. Sounds like it's time to do a spreadsheet!

I am hopelessly behind, but I hope you are all having a good weekend. Well we have decided to stay put for the time being...again. Back and forth we go. My newest thought about the Boardwalk is that is might be noisy with all the nightlife there? I hope not, although maybe it is a good kind of noise....like the boat horns.

Linda: Yay for a spring WDW trip! But how can it be cheaper than DL for you??

I don't think the Boardwalk is too noisy, you do hear boat horns now and then. I agree, that is a nice noise.

gwynne renos!!! Sometime one step forward and 2 back had drain back up in basement Friday. I had to be at work that day at 6:30am so thankfully I wasn't there for it cause I would have been freaking Husband, workmen and contractor were there. Water bubbling up from downstairs drain, and thankfully the floor is tiled where drain is, some ran along drain to where hardwood starts and got under floor because transition piece isn't in yet between tile and hardwood. They sucked water out with wet vac. I think it's drying out. Don't think much water got under, ugh.

On the bright side, upstairs bathroom almost done! Glass door for shower is coming Tuesday! Trim along sink counter & wall mirrors for upstairs & downstairs bathroom coming soon I hope. Need towel racks upstairs. All this week I hope.

Wdw planning I think I'm sticking with POFQ for January. Looking into the Play/Stay & Dine pkg. as long as I can use the 2 day ticket (required, last year it was only 1 day) to upgrade AP next year. Doing the Disney math taking out the price for 2 day ticket out of equation it looks like room discount is better (25%, rather then the 20% I have with room only AAA discount) and DDP would be $42 per day per person. Near as we can figure!
