Wookie: Did you nab any accessories for y'alls' bands whilst you were there? Now that Melissa mentioned the covers for them, I went and had a peruse around the internet. Apparently there are Star Wars ones?! I also saw a picture of a 3 pack of covers which included the Haunted Mansion wallpaper pattern. Might have to get that one...

We are home, and sort of rested yesterday. Today is back to normal, gosh, does the laundry ever end??

And I booked for next year just a few minutes ago. Popped on a new ticker, and now I need to get busy.

Hi Everyone!
It's been a very hectic few days. Looks like things for my DS 21/ Josh are finally looking up! he's just gotten off probation for his apprenticeship (electrician) job, got a $2 an hour raise to $17/hr
The last couple days we've been car shopping with him. Used Mazdas where running $15K so we went to the dealer and they had great incentives to get rid of the 2013's. He ended up getting a brand new Mazda 3 for $20K and 0 percent financing!!!! His payments are very reasonable at $265 a month! We had to consign, but he's assured us he will make his payments / praying nothing bad happens and things only keep looking up for him!

Jeanette: DS Andrew didn't get the tatoo, he was all ready too then DH was filling out the paper work and got to the point where they would only do tattoos at the comic expo if you are 18!!! Andrew was so bummed, he's only 5 months away from that -- but reputable tattoo artists really stick hard to that requirement. So I have an appointment for him in November with a reputable artist to discuss what he wants. On March 6, his 18th bday he can get it done

Getting excited for our trip! Just heard Great news that I'll be able to hug another one of our dear RCer friends! Melissa will be in WDW on Dec 5!!!! She's planning on meeting up with us somewhere in the parks! It's wonderful how so many of us have managed to hook up this year!
Can't wait for our turn

I bought some bling for my band. The Mickey Head bling, in clear, pink & purple. Looked nice on my band. But by the end of the trip, none were left. They don't stay in very well.

Are they close to getting finished on the renos?

OH NO! Did you lose all three or manage to catch them? I saw those ones in the pictures, little jewel-head Mickeys? Eep. If they pop off that easily, I'll have to not bother.

Looks like our mini-January trip is out. For the past few years, they've run the room only discounts starting on the 1st or 2nd of January. This year, they've decided to start the RO discounts from the 5th of January. Not paying rack rate for all but 1 night of our stay.

Just checking in! We got back in last night from a fantastic trip. Lots of pics and observations to discuss!

But, I left fantasyland and landed in reality, where there is a gov't shutdown. The bright side is that DH has been deemed "essential" and is exempt from the furlough, however, it is still unclear when exactly they will be paid for their work...

So.....I'm just gonna think positive and keep calm....

I am SO jazzed to meet all of you!!! Glad he will have the opportunity to really plan out what he wants, I have one tattoo I got when I was 18..OUCH! The things we do....YAY for the new car, and the raise for Josh!!!

Not soon enough Needed the hug! I have a final next week and another the week after..then it's my break! Work has been so busy so I've been napping when DS is at preschool, then he's home aand like a little Taz, I run after him all day.

The whole thing is so frustrating, I can't imagine working without a paycheck. Everyone is just going nuts with this Obamacare issue. As an ER nurse if we don't start mandating insurance coverage, we won't have hospitals to go to when we are sick. The percentage of people that come to the ER since they have no other choice is frightening... Sorry for my rant, but I hope this is resolved ASAP!! For all our government employees affected!! Especially those in our RC family

Off property is becoming more and more enticing. And proves DH's point about Universal...I can get a Portofino suite with an AP rate (sleeps 7) for the same $$ as Poly with our discount (which is about 40% off I think if not a little more)

Neverending Saga


Well Dh and I have one day at GF std RPC then 2 days Deluxe King RPC 11/8-11/11. I got 2 sets of MB's.

We have one night 1/1-1/2 at GF in Sl and then to VGF 1/2-1/5. (no MB's available)

Today I booked dd and I for 1/5-1/8 for our mom and me portion with Disney Visa discount.

So i look and MB's there for DD and I but only, I repeat ONLY grey came up for color option. So now I have red, pink and grey and yet DD only has grey.

I am not going to tell her, YOU tell her

miss yes I lost all of them.. Sometimes I found one that fell off, mostly not. I went thru 2 sets of them too!!! after I lost all the Mickey Heads of the first set, I went down to the YC gift shop, and told them about the problem. They gave me another set. All those fell out too. I give up. We even turned it into a game with periodic checks, lol. 2:00, 3 Mickey Heads still on!

Maybe if you put nail polish on the stick it would help them stay in?

Renos coming along. Stairs almost finished. Upstairs going to be painted this week. Some ceilings done. Window trims next? I have hope that by middle of next week upstairs will be painted. Bathroom almost done upstairs. Need new kitchen lighting. I think everything should be done in the next 2-3 was. I hope!!
