Marie - thanks for the update. Glad he is alive and recovering well from surgery then. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My RCer Family  's to you all! Thanks for all the love and support, it means the world to me. I am sorry it took awhile for me to update, DH just got discharged yesterday, we are at home now and I had a minute to myself so had to drop by and let you all know I'm thinking of you and very grateful for your kind words and all the support. DH is alive, thank God -- about 6 shots where fired in the kuffuffle, and the inmates ended up escaping with DH's and his partners fire arms -- they where from a notorious gang and murder wouldn't have fazed them, so I am so thankful DH only lost a finger/ and perhaps 2 fingers (if surgery doesn't take) but he and his partner still have their lives.

DH had his fourth finger, right hand amputated on Tue night. On Thur they did surgery and moved his pinky over into the 4th finger spot, did a bone graft on the shattered pinky and pinned it. We have to wait 6 weeks to see if the bone graft takes and his pinky is savable. If so, it will require a few more surgeries. If it doesn't take, it will mean a other amputation. It's given a 50/50 chance.
DH is positive and determined to just get on with the healing. He has about 6 months of workers comp/ healing to do I believe.
DH is is so much pain (phantom pain they call it) from where the limb used to be. I feel so bad because there's not much you can do for phantom pain and it can last quite a long time. He's a trooper though and I am so thankful he's still here to share life with me. Thank you all for the positive thoughts, the prayers, the love and support. I love you all  Marie
Ps....the cons where caught, so I hope they go away for a long, long time!!!

 Thank you so much for the update. Y'all have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the pinky is savable. It's good that he is positive. Having a positive attitude can really help healing and recovery. Sending y'all continued prayers, good thoughts, and pixie dust.

I'm glad they were caught. Hopefully, it will be the last taste of freedom they have for the rest of their lives.

:grouphug: Marie, thank you so much for taking the time to let us know how your DH is doing; he was especially in my heartfelt prayer on Thursday. You are all tucked in my heart and prayer each day. Now we hope for a successful graft and full recovery. My father-in-law suffered terribly when he had his foot amputated due to diabetes - praying the pain lessons soon for your
DH.

Gentle hugs.

Thank goodness the criminals were caught and cannot do anymore harm.

Marie ~ So happy that DH is out of the hospital, and I hope his pain subsides soon. You just contnue to be the amazing wife that you are and DH will have everything he needs to make a full recovery. :goodvibes

45 days to gooooo!!!! I can't believe it! I have so much left to do!! :faint:

Sis, same virus in this house. I was just popping in to post that I will hopefully get to catch up at some point today. For now the princess fell asleep and I am going to join her.

Feel better. Hopefully, this barfy feeling will be gone when I wake up from this nap. I'm sure it's just allergies, but thinking about last night's dinner, and putting the clams in the chowder for my mil isn't helping.

Hope you all are feeling better soon. It better not hit here, we are counting down to the musical at the hs...last two rehearsals before all heck kicks in. Oh, and lets throw in a winter percussion home show to work at because there isn't enough going on...

Have a great day all~
Cynthia

That stomach bug is fierce and has been making the rounds. Sophia had it on the drive back from Boston, then Mia got hit. Other friends have suffered it's effects as well.

Feel better very soon and hope it doesn't make the rounds through the family! Gentle

Unrelated Disney note...I made a brilliant decision at the carnival at my DS school today and let DD go down the big inflatable slide with her brother...we just got back home from the ER a half an hour ago...tibial fracture in her right leg and now she has this full leg splint....HRH will NOT be happy tomorrow when she wakes up!!

:hug:hope your DD is doing well!!! So sorry, kiddos are very resilient! I worked Peds ER yesterday so I get to help fix these ouchies :flower3: How old is she? HRH?? We call my DD8 that Her Royal Highness...actually Kook coined the name :goodvibes

When my oldest was 9 months, he had full leg casts to both legs to correct them...that kiddo learned to walk IN CASTS!! Kids are amazing :upsidedow

Yep, I fear I would run out of room with my "possibilities" :rotfl2: hopefully very soon....
:rotfl:

Just got off the phone with WDW, so switched my 2 nights at POR BB to 1 night at Pop pre GF/YC stays :woohoo:
:cheer2: Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take care of patients with it all the time...DH says I keep getting sick because I work too much and don't rest enough :rolleyes2

Since she sits right across the cube from me at work, and then we also see each other all the time on the weekends...yup!

Poor DS... but he made it work ...kids are certainly resilent and resourceful...

Quick hello to my lovely pals. :grouphug: Extra  for Marie and her family. And for all of you guys who aren't feeling up to snuff. :( Go away germs, the RCing lot has had enough of germs to last a life-time.

We're trapped at home! The spring broke on our garage door so we're waiting for the guy to come fix it. We walked down to the drug store yesterday to get out of the house but now cabin fever is starting to set in. I think I'm going to wait outside on the porch for the garage door guy. :crazy2:

She is 2 months away from turning 2. And she s definitely a royal diva, especially with her leg in a splint. She refuses to walk on it so she's pretty much ordering us around to do what she wants.
