Our little thread of BIG Resort Changes~2013 Spring RC installment

Hello lovelies!

I keep forgetting that I don't have some of you on Facebook. Hence my temporary absence will now be explained! On the afternoon of my last post -- where I was feeling pretty bad about kiddo's meltdown before school -- I got a call from our credit card company later that morning saying that the account was compromised and we'd have to get new cards. Thankfully, Visa caught it and no charges made it through to the account. The day got even more exciting when I thought it would be a good idea to taste the sidewalk on the way to pick the kiddo up from her after-school activity. Let me just tell you, breaking a fall with your face gives you INSTANT Walking Dead-like make-up; although, I decided against going up to the front doors and scaring the living bejeebus out of the kids. Going tonight to get the stitches out of my chin (I managed to pierce through my lip into my chin with my tooth, but miraculously, no chipped / damaged teeth.) Kiddo joked about seeing my splat -- and bending down to kiss it -- on her way to school for the remainder of last week. Now every time those Life Alert commercials come on, hubs looks at me with a smirk.

Anyway, that was my exciting bit of last week. Now it's Spring Break!

I've been collecting my Disney Gift Certificates from Target, too. 5% off is good stuff!

Still not decided on the APs yet because we've still not go word what will happen at hub's work with regard to furloughs, etc. Still booked at CR- Garden Wing.

He had me check availability....of course PBH was the only available with a discount...and of course it was the same price as CSR BC But a happy hubby makes for a good summer trip

I totally understand...and I'm sure you two will have a blast no matter where you end up! And like you said you will be at WDW in August....

Hello RC family! I am sorry I have been MIA for so long! School, website, dr's appts, etc, didn't allow for any DIS time But it is spring break, my website is mostly done, no dr's appts, tax stuff ready for the acct, and NO STEVEN SCHOOL STRESS

So catch me up....

Jeanette - so CSR for upcoming trip??? What about the summer trip, where are booked for that as of today I know you are busy with school, work, family, etc. I hope you are taking care of yourself and trying to squeeze some rest in there

KOOK - are you still at CR or did that change today? You know how I feel about CR

Wookie - I know there was something about the tax return...has it come through yet? Are you set for San Antonio and WDW? Oh and where did you end up for WDW? I swear my brain is mush lately

Miss - hope your chin is healing up and the rest of your body isn't too sore. Enjoy a quiet spring break with Miss M, she is such a cutie

Jen - what is the latest with you? Are all your plans still the same? What about your summer trip, are you still going camping, I am thinking that changed???

Marie - hope you get to your dad soon, I know it has been a long trip. Did you make the next ferry? Sending you lots of and positive thoughts.

Thank you. I can't wait to go!! When it didn't look like the money would be here in time for us to go this next weekend, I asked the DH if he just wanted to move it to the beginning of June. Even after the money got here, I asked if he wanted to do that so it would be warm enough to go to the waterpark in Sea World. He didn't want to do that. He needs to get away from his parents for a few days. Living with them is hard enough on me, but he does that plus work for them. Plus he felt like that would put it too close to our September trip and he wanted to space the two trips out a bit. Which reminds me, I don't think we've told the inlaws that he needs the time off in September and the trip is 100% paid off.

I thought of you last night!!! We were watching a special about water parks and one was in San Antonio! I wonder if it was the one you were going to go to.

I'm at CSR Business Class...again

I don't know how you do the TA thing sis...especially with people who are undecided

Yay for67 days I DID look at the Grand..but we are going in August I can't do that to hubs

It's still much more enjoyable than my day job!

So proud of you with the healthy habits. I need to get back into mine.

I need to get back to working out so I an lose this weight. I still have like 40 lbs to go to get to where I'd like to be for our August trip...10 lbs a month...possible? Hmm...

Snow day today for both kids. Even daycare was closed today. 17" we got - officially!

Still two trips. We are 67 days out from out May/June trip, and it can't come soon enough. I'm under copious amounts of stress at work and at home.

Was it called Schlitterbaun? If it is, that's actually in New Braunfels. We've been to it in the past and it is fun. We're not going this time. Just Sea World.

ah, I'm just so used to them just talking about Schlitterbaun that I totally forget about Aquatica. We're going to skip it this trip. It would take our Sea World tickets for one day to like $360 instead of $220. Plus I really think it'll be too chilly to do a waterpark. The high isn't supposed to get above 80-ish and there is the possibility of thunderstorms.

MM, your shirts are amazing (thanks for the website info) Your DH did a great job! We will definitely need to see a pix of the family! Its great you have a game night (we used to do this too)... it was my DS that loved the board games& remember playing epic games of RISK with Paul and whoever had Ukraine, the other would say Ukraine is weak, It's feeble. I think it's time to put the hurt on the Ukraine" (from a Seinfeld episode)

Your DH cracks me up!! btw, I'm as graceful as you... here's a recent one.. on the January trip, was trying on a shirt in the Canadian shop (over my shirt), it was a little tight so when I took it off, it all came off!! was standing in the middle of the shop minus my OWN shirt..(luckily I had on a cammie)& Linda and I looked at each other and it hit me after a few seconds that I wasnt in a dressing room... Boy I was really fumbling to get my shirt back on....even though it was embarrassing it was so funny as heck too!!

Dani, sorry you are being audited, hopefully once the papers have been handed over they will be satisfied.

Kook, breakfast with Pas is out unfortunately but I will be sure to pin her down after her trip. Glad you are back in the planning mode& Love the Europe comment by DD! So it's CR for now?? (will send you a pix of the girls at the concert)

Magic has asked me to spill about November (which I cleverly evaded)... good news, school calender is out and Nov 4/5 are in service days for Sam!! Now to bring up the subject of a WDW trip to DH... trying to make the last MNSSHP.... and to meet up with our Sheila and Bob, Piglets Mommy, GG, and perhaps with our floridians.. Magic, Melissa, and Deena!! A party!!

Been crunching numbers using the supposed discount coming out April 2nd...taking into consideration a trip to Sea World too, I think I actually may have saved us money in the long run since we could stay offsite 2 nights at the beginning and go to Sea World. Then 5 nights at Disney. AND if I can talk DH into it...possibly stay those 5 nights at the Poly!!! All for under $4500!

Thanks for asking. It's going well. Only had a week and now I'm on Spring Break (of course my kids both had a snow day yesterday). Makes since here in IL I guess. Thinking if I don't find anything else that I may just sub next year as well. If I register with multiple districts I could have a full time job practically (less money yes, but less responsibility too).

If we go with the proposed plan, the only drawback is less days in the parks and no real resort days...but if we stay at the Poly, it's way more convenient for MK (and Epcot).

Love love the Poly. And FWIW it must not be easy being a sub. My DD8 has had a sub for the past two days and I know some in the class are not making it easy for her. I hope High School students are better!
