Since you are booking a room only, you do have to cancel the package so you will have to call. Since the public discount is coming out tomorrow, phone lines will be crazy, so if you can book online DO IT!!! The reason I mention it is I have often found availability online that the CMs on the phone do not. Good luck tomorrow, and let us know how you make out!! I love hearing about savings and upcoming trips!!!! When are you going???

Hi guys.

How much smaller are POFQ rooms then CBR rooms? Mum thinks there'll be no room to park her scooter which is a shame because I want to stay at POFQ. I don't think it'll be that more expensive either.

Hey All!

I was taken down by a migraine today.

I typically only get them when I am super stressed and the last two weeks have qualified....my grandfather had a mini stroke a couple of weeks ago (prior to that he was a completely healthy, independent 88 year old guy). He is still living on his own. He was not even hospitalized for the stroke and is now on blood thinners, but for someone who was still walking 5 miles a day, etc....this has hit him very hard, and I am his only relative nearby so I've been dealing with that. He has however, decided that he is moving to MD to live with my mom, so we are trying to figure out those logistics.

Plus, I have been studying for this awful test for work, which I took Friday (and passed!!!) but the study time leading up to it has been time consuming and stressful, with everything else going on. But, now that I passed a nice raise comes with it.

I also have been stressing out over our August trip because we still haven't gotten the 2014-2015 school calendar and I have been so paranoid that for some crazy reason, they will start school while we are supposed to be on our trip....though historically, this shouldntbe the case, but of course, I worry. DH just says the girls can miss the first day of school...I'm thinking no. We will have to change our dates, and that means it's going to cost more money...I just wish I knew already. Fingers crossed that school doesn't start until the 27th at the earliest....but preferably after Labor Day!

Ugh, sorry for venting. I usually try to keep it positive, but it feels better to talk about everything.

We just found out one of DH's cousins has uterine cancer...with his mom's situation, plus his cousin now...it's been a bit tense around here. Couple that with news of bonus amount and whether or not he got a promotion (this Tuesday) and yeah...I'm ready for Disney now!

Still not sure about when we'll be going...but regardless, we will be going to Disney, so I can't complain.

CBR has the largest rooms, it's the orig. moderate. If you go on Allears.net they have fact sheets of all the resorts incl Sq ft. But, they aren't that much larger. May seem a tad larger because CBR only has double beds, while all the other mods have queens. I do think there would be room for a scooter. Possibly by wall between bed & door? If it's a connecting room, there will be that door there. I use this area to store my luggage.

Just poppin' in to say Happy Monday & St. Patrick's Day!! It was double xp weekend in our Star Wars game, so the DH had me leveling a toon all weekend. I'm surprised he let me stop long enough for food and sleep. I hope y'all have a great day!!

Agree with this - I often find online and on phone totally different and rooms open up all the time! Don't give up hope! Snag what you can and don't hesitate to 'bother' CMs later for changes!!!

Sparkly - I was under impression Mod rooms are almost identical in size. Also, we had a mansion room at POR and were told the space near the adjoining room door would fit a scooter easily (and out of the way) in case I had to rent one last trip. Not sure how FQ rooms are set up but that might work!!!

So over snow!!!! GRRRRR! 5 more inches and a bouncy first grader home... again! Luckily, DH was on a 4 hour delay and since his flight was cancelled decided to go ahead and stay home for family time -- yay!

Weekend was crazy - DD6 does Destination Imagination and had her regional competition this Sat. They did super awesome - such creative kiddos! Our school had two first place competitive teams which makes me proud - it's a small school and I was a sub last year so got to know the kids so well!

ADR DAY!!!!! Woohoo!!!! First time trusting a TA. So nice to wake up with an email saying "Got your ADRs booked!" -- so nice not to have to be up at 6:58 after being up and down all night (allergies!!!) and play the game. Got most of what we wanted and a few extra to decide on: Mama Melrose F! may get cut (rather 50's PT and walk to F!) and need to narrow down which day we want CP - we have 2!) Eager to try Sanaa and Kona and DD is stoked to see Sofia!

DH is thinking of trying to stay mod all week for Christmas. His thought that if it was a group of 4 or 6, moving resorts wouldn't be bad but a group of 11 is somewhat of a cluster. I can't say I disagree but I love the idea of staying deluxe over the holidays. So, as a concession we are looking at maybe doing WL/CR TPV in September. Won't be exactly the same but would be FUN!

So, DH shot down the June trip idea due to flight times...So, July it is based on the available award flights open...either we stick with GF for the 4 nights or I'm trying to price out some other options using the new summer discounts. Preferably a 5 or 6 night stay then...trying once again to decide whether it's worth the extra crowds to be there for the special fireworks on the 3rd/4th or just wait until the following week as originally planned.

You are within 45 days which according to the rules would mean a change fee. However often times Disney will waive the fee if your change results in more expense package. Can't hurt to ask.

My sister posted a picture on FB on her Irish Wolfhound covered in snow. I don't think the Beagle is impressed with having that much snow.

Hopefully, it will be back up so you can price it out. How much bigger are the crowds over 4th? If it's just high by 1 on a crowd calendar, I would go for being there on the 4th.

I think my DH lost his mind. He called me as I was leaving my friend's house and he said that he had found Joey's first car and it was only $2,000. Then he said it was a Ford Mustang. I have always wanted a Mustang, so I think he thought I would jump at the chance to give my boys one. I went and looked at it, and it's rough. Plus it's a 5-speed. I just told him that the insurance with a teenager driving that would be way too much.

You can always change now, the change fee..if you are upgrading the price or have a sweet CM they may waive the fee..I find it helps to strike up a conversation, most CMs want to make a magical trip for you. Good luck, and update us please. We love all changes..even near changes!

I think my DH lost his mind. He called me as I was leaving my friend's house and he said that he had found Joey's first car and it was only $2,000. Then he said it was a Ford Mustang. So I've been embarrassed to say it, but I think its time I (we) admit to being chronic resort changers.

We've gone from POR standard to POR Preferred to Polynesian (Surprise!!) for a Memorial Day weekend trip using Spring deal...only to have to move the trip to Easter Week (yikes!!), lose the discount, transfer back to POR (but Royal this time) to POFQ and now...finally...4 weeks out...we're at CBR Preferred. Wow, it feels good to get that out.

I've posted in each and every one of these resorts' "Official Threads" and then I feel so ashamed when I realize that I'll have to move into another one and ask the same general questions. I'm also afraid someone is going to look up my post history and think I'm some sort of con artist.

But anyway, reading through this thread makes me feel better!! We are really excited about CBR now, I promise!! We've never stayed at a moderate before and kind of defaulted to the PO's because it seems that you find more people who have stayed at them and loved them...but in the end, we have 2 little ones, and while I can see the attraction to the PO resorts, I don't think you can beat the pool at CBR, and thats in the end the most important thing in a resort to us (2 most recent stays since kids have both been at BC with SAB). The size was intimidating, but with the Preferred Room and all the good things I've heard about the bus service frequency, I think I'm OK with it.

Anyway, feels good to admit it! Looking forward to following along with others' indecisiveness in the future! Now if I could only decide on FP+'s and ADR's...

Great to have you here!! The pool at CBR will be fantastic! How was SAB with the little ones? We are doing YC this summer the great thing about changing is you can continue to play with FP and ADRs..we have several FAQS hostesses who are RC friendly so remember, there is NO shame in being a changer!! And everyone here is very knowledgeable and always happy to help!!!
