Our little thread of BIG changes, the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

Just popping in to say "hello" and "hiya" ... :grouphug:

Back to making dinner, the excitement never ends I tell ya. :rolleyes1

:grouphug: :wave2: What are y'all having for dinner? We're having ham, mashed potatoes, cabbage, and corn.

Hi stranger! :-)

Supposed to be in the 60's today and tomorrow, then snow on Wednesday...? Crazy IL weather...

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Sounds like Texas bipolar weather. We've had many days like that. I remember one Friday my senior year in high school it was in the 70's that morning and everyone was in shorts. By the time it school was out and we had to get ready for the away football game (I was in the marching band) it was below freezing and it snowed during the football game. My parents were out of because my grandmother was having surgery. Luckily, the band directors wife (who did the flags) wore the same size my sister and I did, and she was like a 2nd mom to use. We just went to her house and bundled up in some clothes.

Koh: It was so nice today... now 4" of snow on Wednesday. :faint: I thought I was going to put an end to winter by finally getting new snow boots (at the end of the season). I can see my ploy didn't work.

Wookie: Oh, that sounds flippin' yummmm-o. Send me some leftovers. :thumbsup2 Just pasta with meat sauce. Very uninspiring but was quick.

Just popping on to say Hi :wave:

I am so far behind on my reading of the thread I am Clueless . I did read the last page and see lots of talk about Disneyland :) Loved DL and would love to go back someday. We loved staying at The DisneyLand Hotel and most likely would stay there again.

We thought Bella was making a breakthrough last Friday as she did somehow move herself from the tile flooring over to the rug infront of the couch and then tried to later raise herself up but could not quite do it.

Please say a prayer for my baby to get well.

Woke up to temp of 51 today but winter is suppose to return tomorrow :( I hope the weather is nice where all my RC friends are!

Popping on for a quick :wave: and saw a Bella update.

:love: To the RCers!

I think I am pretty much sold on ASSp for a June SWW trip if we change from July... :-)

Just trying to get ADRs to work with the new dates...

Just returned home from a 5 night stay at Pofq. It was wonderful!!!!! We've stayed at Pop Century the last 6 times and have enjoyed our stays. We are park commandos so it's just a place to sleep. It was so nice to stay at a quiet, small, beautiful resort. Loved the boat to dtd. Now we're also celebrating our 30th anniversary in November. We're taking our children (3 boys, 26, 25 & 15 plus one girlfriend) with us. I've booked Coronado Springs business class. Now after staying at pofq I'm second guessing my choice. I love the quaint resort at pofq, one bus stop , two sinks. Coronado is quite the opposite-multiple bus stops, large, one sink outside the bathroom. We'll be sharing 2 rooms-4 in one room and 2 in the other. What's the Disney planner to do. Haha!!!!

Trying to figure out these ADRs for June is NOT fun... :-/ Not so sure about a 9pm dinner at Chef Mickey's...

ETA just scored a 7:15 dinner at CM's...not the breakfast on departure day as I would have preferred but that's ok. OHana works too for that and DS loves the Stitch juice! :-)

Just got word...my MIL's tumors are getting bigger...putting her on an oral biologic, which means pills and monthly visits for scans, etc. Right now I'm not sure what that means for Disney trip...whether June would be easier or not or if it makes a difference or if DH would rather not be gone that long considering...

Morning RCers,

Missoutandabout-Your trip is right around the corner, isn’t it? All that nice warm weather is going to feel wonderful after our endless winter this year. :beach: We got 8” more snow yesterday…crazy!:eek:

Jenny-Glad you guys had a great time on the cruise! Your land/sea combo sounds very fun. :dance3:

Lacey-That is too funny about the conference calls. I go upstairs, it’s working out. The nice thing is he avoids the commute on the days he works from home. :goodvibes

Koh-I am sorry your MIL is not doing well. I hope the new medications are helpful.:hug:

Pas-Adding the snack room is always a plus!:yay:

Sjs314- How is Bella doing today? Thinking of you, and hoping she’s a bit better.:hug:

Wookie-It is funny about those Disney specials. We watched, and then we both said, it’s time to go back to the Animal Lodge. Do you think they plant subliminal messages? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Dimndgal-Is your ADR list ready to go? It’s always fun to get that done. :banana: (And then change some in the meantime…):laughing:
Waving hi to Mousemommy, Janet, Marie, Hannah, Magic, Iheart and the rest of the gang! Sending hugs to the RC friends! :grouphug:

Hi Lynn,
Congrats on your upcoming 30th anniversary! :love: We stayed a couple of times with our adult daughter at POFQ. She and her friend really liked it. We got two rooms, and it worked out well for all.
I think you've got a couple of great choices, either way you'll have a lovely vacation together! :cool1:

Oh my goodness, let's hope so. It's enough already of winter! Three cheers for spring! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

The kids and I plan on rewatching all of the Destination America WDW shows and then tinkering with our itinerary today. Beach Club dreaming!!! :cloud9:

I think POFQ sounds great. I dislike the hugeness of the moderates personally.
Although CSR BC guarantees your location and some snacks...I'd keep it and :welcome: to the thread!!!

I'm sorry she didn't get the news you were hoping for, but maybe she needs a different treatment. Continued prayers, and in my opinion June should be okay. You all should have a few summer days at a happy place. :hug:

Glad to hear good things @ POFQ - that's where our group currently is for Christmas! :goodvibes Glad you had a great trip, too!!! And happy 30th!

YAY for working the ADRs well! 715 is better than 9! And now I'm curious about Stitch juice...

I am so sorry to hear. I know it's not ideal, but could you hold onto June a little longer to see how things go? If things start to look up, the trip might be a good stress/celebration relief. If things look like you can't be gone that long, maybe you can move it back a month or two? Or shorten? Thoughts with you all! :grouphug:

Hey girl, how are you???? :hug:

:wave2: Hanging in there, waiting for Spring!!! Had it for a minute and now it's gone... *sighs* Hope you are well!

Morning RCers,

Dimndgal-Is your ADR list ready to go? It’s always fun to get that done. :banana: (And then change some in the meantime…):laughing:

I think so but the rumor about Elsa/Anna moving to Fairytale Hall is throwing me a bit... Wish they would put them at both Norway and FH!

:wave2:

Another snow day here....hoping it's the last....since next week is spring and all...:crazy2:

I feel you! 67 degrees at 7p last night, 34 by midnight... so over winter!!! Need to think sun! :beach:

~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~
Fine tuning ADRs before Monday. This is what I have right now... would love thoughts:
*we are splitting park days to make a mandatory 'break' so LO can rest figuring if she's super sleepy one of us can hang back with her in the room while the rest of the group goes on ahead*
Sat - (arrival afternootn) T-Rex dinner
Sun - H&V, early lunch; Garden Grill dinner
Mon - CP dinner (doing AK EMH this am then long break before MK)
Tue - Kona Cafe late breakfast, MNSSHP
Wed - (Pool day) Sanaa lunch, date dinner with DH, Poly Bch Wishes
Thu - BoG (HOPING FP+), Harmony BBshp 1st haircut
Fri - Akerhaus, as early as possible, 50's PT milkshakes before F!
Sat - WC breakfast, leave late afternoon
ILs come out for Spring Break next month and hoping to have Dec trip sketched out. Have 7 nights at POFQ and just waiting for discounts to come out!!!
Hope everyone is doing well and thoughts to those dealing with heavy things! :hug: Stay positive and think Mickey! ::MickeyMo
The whole Elsa/Anna moving to FairyTale hall is throwing me too! If so, then I won't worry so much about an 8am ADR at Akershus...In all honesty, I'd much rather do CRT! :-) Besides which, we could spend the last park day at MK instead of EP! Hmmm...
So sorry :worried:
Hey girl, how are you???? :hug:
Alright, who's changing???? I added CL, that's my only allowable ch-ch-change :lmao:
Of course you did :rotfl:
We love both the POR resorts, when we stay moderate it's there! Riverside is very manageable, we stay in the mansion section and with 2 bridges it's pretty central to all the ammenities. Love the boat to DTD, and evening entertainment.
:wave2: hi everyone! Just checking in and hope everyone is doing well!! It's been so busy around here! Looking forward to 2 weeks off. Spring break starts Monday, woohoo :worship:
Hi Peeps!!
Sue, :wave2: Been busy lately ...wish I had a spring break to look forward to... at least I'm happy you do. :flower3:
Miss, you are up next! :woohoo: then our Iheart... :cheer2:
dimnigal1, happy that DD had fun on the slopes (and know you had to have fun with in that hot tub) :thumbsup2
ADRs are looking good...have to look at them closer..just a thought.. will Monday be too long of a day by EMH at AK in the AM and EMH at MK in the PM?
We thought Bella was making a breakthrough last Friday as she did somehow move herself from the tile flooring over to the rug infront of the couch and then tried to later raise herself up but could not quite do it.
Sheila, Bella making some progress is good; perhaps her recovery will be two steps forward / one back...she sounds like she might tire easily...continuing prayers for your sweet bella. :hug:
Alright, who's changing???? I added CL, that's my only allowable ch-ch-change :lmao:
Yep, no more changing for you my friend!! Do i need to take over your ressie? :rotfl2: :hug:
Hi Lynn and welcome!! Both FFQ and CSR are great choices ...with your crew I'm leaning towards CSR ...that business class will be a nice splurge with your 30th anniversaty celebration...great pool if warm enough....ressort it's centrally located.
Just got word...my MIL's tumors are getting bigger...putting her on an oral biologic, which means pills and monthly visits for scans, etc. Right now I'm not sure what that means for Disney trip...whether June would be easier or not or if it makes a difference or if DH would rather not be gone that long considering...
Krystal, so sorry that MIL's tumors are not responding to treatment..hoping a new regime will help bring more encouraging results. will continue to keep her in my prayers. :hug:
For now... suggest keeping Disney still in your sights and see what the next 2 months bring .... if need be you can move, or postpone the trip if not comfortable. Hang in there. :hug:
