Our little thread of BIG changes, the neverending saga of the Resort Changers

Jen SOOO glad I'm not alone on this lol. My supervisor was like where did you go? I said I ran upstairs to the bathroom and now I'm going to lunch. ;) A girl needs a break every now and then!

Sheila BOOOOO!!! Saddest day ever.

Hello all! Happy Friday!

Yay to those closing in on their trips, *sighs* to those ending their trips.

At doctor with oldest to check the cold that will not go away... this child ALWAYS gets sick over a long weekend. *shakes head*

How does BB offer work? Do you really have to have stayed? Those are our dates next year... if nothing else, at least it looks like there will be FD next year again! We are pricing out a MOD with FD just as a possibility... saves $$$ but I go back and forth about the ahappiness quotient`

If anyone needs a reason to be thankful: I am sending a care package of toys to friends today. They were in process of moving after getting out of military when the moving truck caught fire en route! Lost everything save for the photos/computer/safe they had with them. My friend is staying super positive about it all-focusing on the awesome shopping spree coming up. I told her sounds like the perfect time for a Disney trip while everything is sorted out.

You have to book a BB while still on Disney property. The dates for the BB don't necessarily match to the GP offer for FD. That was the case with this year's offer, and it looks like it will be the case again. I had some clients who were peeved they didn't mesh. I believe the GP offer started in September.

Sheila: Awwww! Last days are the WORST. So glad you've loved your AKL time, it's so beautiful there. Did you see anything about the room-only % off BB? You might wanna call if you get a moment before you leave. There are rumours floating around here about it but I still haven't seen anyone post the exact dates. :confused3

:grouphug: hope everyone has a great weekend.

Doin' a little of this for our pal, Jen... :dance3: :cheer2: :yay:

Yes call about the bounce back Sheila! I have read that people have gotten the room only discount for next year by calling and asking at ext. 8844!

Girls - I did it! I booked the cruise! :cheer2::cheer2:

I am excited and scared. I don't even know where to start with planning but I am super excited. Please don't mention on my FB page because this is my kids' Christmas gift and I am not telling any of our family.

Janet: Huuuge congrats to the very talented Sam & Co. :worship:

Yay for Sam  And the Rockefeller tree will be going up soon..the three of us can spike our hot cocoa and enjoy some adult fun in the city...we can visit Crumbs for our Sarah :cloud9:
:grouphug:

Thanks guys (and anyone else I'm missing) ! It's been a hectic busy Marching band season but I love it! And what's more important Sam does!!

And Pas, LOVE the NYC plans! Just tell Dani and I WHEN. :goodvibes

And thanks to all for the congrats texts!!

During all the forgetting, I also forgot to take a picture of the Sarah Milkshake we had on the last day! Oh, was it ever yummmmmy -- a peanut butter chocolate extravaganza from Beaches & Cream. :goodvibes

She knew  And it's does sound yummy, maybe we will have to stop by in December.

Changed again ladies. Changed again. So much for my revelations...there's always a new revelation...:p:rotfl2:

Candace, my mind is spinning with your ever changing changes!! :rotfl2: Are you stuill at CR??

The eye doctor was soooo much fun, that's why its been 4-5 years since me last exam. So I have a cataract (kinda figured as much) and my vision stinks. He mentioned that I should really be driving with glasses. So I am going to pick out some cool specs on Friday (payday) DS5 needs new ones too...but I am waiting for him to break his current pair..which he will :rolleyes2

I haven't hit 40 yet, and I'm getting all these lovely signs of aging  On a positive note. I lost another 1.4 lbs this week:thumbsup2

Pas, getting older stinks :(. Did you get your super cool specs today? Send me a pix/post it here!! :cool1:

Had to drive to Rochester on Sunday to help my sister with my Mom. My mom's been having some increased memory issues, long story short, we had to move her to the memory care assisted living (same facility, but a different bldg). Mom was resisting and was acting out. We were able to get her there on Monday, the staff is wonderful. Reports were she had a good first day/night, although when I visited on Tues, she thought I was taking her home ... It's sad to see my Mom slip further, she still has clear thinking (at times) but there has been some definite changes from when she went to Assisted Living a year ago.

On a happier note, Sam's last competition is in Hershey Park tomorrow. We are excited!! Think of us at 6:45 pm ... that's our step off time... before the kids leave we throw them a championship lunch ....I've made placemats and favor boxes. Working on Sam's poster tonight for display at the luncheon.

Have a great weekend all!! Waving Hi to all I've missed!

For 48 hours and counting now!!! :thumbsup2

No inkling to change at this current time. :goodvibes

We are CR Atrium Club TPV from 8/16/14 - 8/21/14 and then on the Disney Dream from 8/21/14 - 8/24/14 :cool1:

I even called Disney today to make a payment and there was no urge to switch while I had a CM on the phone! :rotfl2:

Janet: It must be so so hard to see your mom like that. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be. Sending you out much hugs and love.

It's been a LONG week! And we capped it off with a couple hours in the ER tonight. Steven had stubbed his toe (same one) twice this week and of course I told him to walk it off. Well this afternoon we saw all the bruising on the outside if his foot. Thankfully it's not broken, but it is sprained. I guess I am glad I didn't push going to Disney this weekend.

DH has to go to Orlando on Wednesday for work and I keep thinking the kids and I could go and hit a park, but then I come back to reality and realize what a pain that would be. Or would it....LOL!!!

Told the kids I am sleeping on tomorrow and not to wake me ;)

HUGS to everyone!! Have a great weekend!

Melissa

Oh hugs to Steven! Poor thing. I hope it isn't causing him too much pain. And I really hope you get to sleep in my dear. I have told the girlies that too tonight. Lets report back and see who actually got to do it!:wizard:

Well it was 6:49 am for me. Hope you did better Melisssa.:sad2::rolleyes2

I was just logging on to say I didn't come downstairs til 9am!!!! I was up about 7:45am but stayed in bed and kept dozing. Went into the kids at 8:20am just to say good morning and that I was going to lay back down and they were nice and quiet! I so needed this lazy morning.

Sorry you didn't get a lazy morning too :(

It's a quiet rainy morning here, so going to try to catch up a bit.

Shelia - hope you made it home safe and sound and have a shiny new BB reservation in hand ::yes::

Candace[/B - I am proud of you for just making a payment and not asking what else might be available :rotfl:

Janet - you know I am sending you much love and support

Lacey - which ship did you book? Cant wait to hear what the kids think of their surprise :yay:

dmindgal1 - hope DD is feeling better  I know my DD has had this lingering cough that we cant get rid of since she was sick last month. So sorry to hear about your friend, that is just horrible :sad2:

Linda - hope you are slowly getting better  We need to get you on the mend so you are close to 100% for December :goodvibes

Miss - I totally hear you on the pharmacy, I actually use CVS for most of our since it is so close to the house. But I try to sneak a few here and there over to Target so I can get the extra discount. You fill 5 scripts there and get a coupon to use in the store for 5% for an entire day and also a code that you can use online once. Both are stackable with the 5% from the red card. I just ordered Sarah's Hanukkah present, an ipad mini, using the online code. That plus the $25 GC they were giving with it made it a pretty good deal.

Hello to everyone I am missing :wave2: Hope everyone has a great weekend!

:grouphug:
Melissa

Hi everyone! I am extremely tired today. My BFF got married yesterday and I had to work bright and early this morning. Is it bed time yet? :crazy2:

Melissa So happy you got to sleep in and relax today. You deserve it! Poor Steven. :sad2:

Jen Sorry you didn't get to snooze today. I hate when I'm looking forward to rest and it gets disrupted. I will kill someone for interrupting my sleep. :rotfl:

Janet You are so strong. I admire you so much. Love you dear friend. ;)

So, just spent another $200 at Amazon.com :rolleyes1

Christmas shopping from your couch is too easy. :rotfl2:

We had decided to get the girls new suitcases for Christmas since we travel a lot and they have outgrown the tiny suitcases they got back in 2009 for $10 each at the Disney store....they can barely fit a pair of shoes in those anymore. :rotfl: Found some really cute ones!!!

Also got them Tink neck rolls since they have been asking for neck rolls since the beginning of time it seems. We have a 3 hour flight down, so I get it :goodvibes

Also made some rainbow loom purchases for them, and we are just about done. Their big gift is the Wii U that we already purchased along with the Disney Infinity for that. :yay:

My DMIL bought them a TON of American Girl doll stuff, so they will have plenty of stuff to open on Christmas Day! :dance3:

And we are sitting here watching A Nightmare Before Christmas now, how appropriate!! One of our family favorites!

Yay!! Congrats!!!

Another attempt to catch up....

Shelia - I hope today you are back to feeling 100%! Sounds like you have a great day planned! And oh the animals, I am sooo jealous ::yes::

SueM - hope you were able to make the change to POR! As you know weather here is so screwy and unpredictable, would hate to see you not have a pool and the weather to be perfect swimming weather.

Candace - oh these girls....but :rotfl: about the dance routine!!!!

Deena - have a MAGICal time :p and have a very Happy Anniversary!!!

Jeanette - good luck at the eye doc today!

Oh of course the school just called.....Steven isn't feeling well and I have an conference with Sarah's teacher in an hour. Begged him to try to make it for a bit longer. Gotta run to try to figure out how to deal with all this and the appts we have this afternoon with the ped and the psych. Never a dull day :sad2:

:grouphug:
Melissa
Hang in there!!
Yes, I was able to change to POR. We love the mansions, so requested Magnolia or Acadian. This will be our 4th stay at POR. Last January we were able to spend quite a few afternoons around the POFQ pool.

I booked Poly for August. 2 weeks :yay: woohoo!

Pas cataracts??? Did he mention surgery? How advanced are they? The new inter ocular lenses are great. Not like the old days when you had to wear coke bottles after surgery! :scared1:
