Prayers for Bella.

That's awful. If it happened at the kennel wouldn't they be responsible for any vet bill? Sounds like negligence. And awful that they wouldn't say anything about it to you.
We had a lab that in her last year had issues with rear end. We made a sling out of a bath towel and put it under her hind quarters to help her walk.
Prayers for Bella. Our fur babies are so much a part of our family. So sorry

thanks everyone for the prayers. I finally got hold of Ddil who is coming over when she gets out of work to helps get Bella in the car to go to the Vet. Guess how I got hold of her? On Facebook, I called & texted, Bob called his mother called too. Once I messages on Facebook there she was !

The kennel called to check on Bella and I said how it seems to be her hip not her foot/ leg and that seems something happened to injure her there. Renee says to me to keep them updated and I matter of factly told her "You will be hearing from me"

I told Bob to reverse the charges on the Bill $400+ but he is Mr Nice. guy and won't and it is on his account. What they gonna do Sue him? I know I'm suing them before this is all done and over unless they offer to pay the vet bill

She is eating and drinking and has passed her urine etc where she is laying as she can't get up but the Vet said it is good she is doing all that.

It's been a LONG week! And we capped it off with a couple hours in the ER tonight. Steven had stubbed his toe (same one) twice this week and of course I told him to walk it off. Well this afternoon we saw all the bruising on the outside if his foot. Thankfully it's not broken, but it is sprained. I guess I am glad I didn't push going to Disney this weekend.

Melissa, hoping that Steven's toe feels a bit better today. Sprains can be so painful (I sprained my ankle a few years ago and it seemed to take forever for it to heal). Hoping the toe is quicker.

Janet - you know I am sending you much love and support

Janet: It must be so so hard to see your mom like that. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be. Sending you out much hugs and love.

Hi everyone! I am extremely tired today. My BFF got married yesterday and I had to work bright and early this morning. Is it bed time yet?

Yes, I was able to change to POR. We love the mansions, so requested Magnolia or Acadian. This will be our 4th stay at POR. Last January we were able to spend quite a few afternoons around the POFQ pool.

I booked Poly for August. 2 weeks woohoo!

We love POR! Stayed in the mansions and AB. Think I like AB a bit better (or maybe because I had preferred view? .) Either way POR is an amazing resort! And congrats on booking the Poly for August!! How about your dates for the list?

Hey gals! Popping in to report my latest ch-ch-change. My best change ever, I think!

I managed to snag a point rental on a Lake View 1 BR at VGF for less then $11/pp. It works out to about 60% off of rack rate. I feel like I robbed the poor guy blind. I still have to figure out our last 2 nights since the ressie is only for 6 nights. I'm thinking maybe POR

Anyway, I am over the moon. The pix look amazing and we fell in love with the space of a villa in August.

My poor Danimal was up all night with a sick belly. We were up until 5 am. Needless to say I am a waste of life today. Spent most of the day on the couch and ordered Chinese for dinner. Danimal is feeling much better and is starving, but he's been limited to toast and soup all day. He thinks I'm punishing him for having me up all night.

Sorry Dani (and Daniel). Hope he's back to his old self today (and Mom too )

Went to pick up bella on Saturday and she could not walk. Had one hell of a time getting her into the car one of the workers had to walk behind her and hold her. We thought it was her back leg but after trying to get her out of the car and into the house I believe it is her hip. I do believe she fell during the bathing or grooming.

We finally got her back into the car with the help of a neighbor, then yesterday managed to get her into Bob's family room but now as the vet does not make house calls we have to somehow get her back into the car.

I am losing my mind I feel so guilty for leaving her at the kennel and fear do to lack of funds I will need to put her down if it is her hip as I suspect surgery will be expense.

Trying to get hold of my Ddil to help with getting Bella in the car but she has not returned any messages for all I know she has changed her #

I feel like I am being punished for having a good time, it just seems if I allow myself to be happy something bad happens

Sorry for the long vent but I am dying inside

So, I was complaining about having only 5 nights at WDW in August because of the cruise (although I am very excited about the cruise)...and was irritated because between camps and school there is no reasonable way to extend the trip...DH said "Let's just get AP's again, and then do our usual 10 nighter in April 2015....maybe even sneak in another trip in August 2015"

(We were planning on skipping 2015...but we always plan on skipping a year...LOL!)

Every day he gives me another reason why I fell in love with him almost 20 years ago.

His only requirement? That he gets to go on a baseball card shopping spree and we do the same lake vacation in Maine next July, like we did this year. DEAL!

Health update: just spent 12 minutes walking and then sat up in a chair for 10 minutes. Now this may not seem like much but it's the best I've done in 4 weeks! Also I even managed to talk to Janet on the phone without a coughing fit! Maybe tomorrow I'll even try to make it out the front door!

Woohoo! So good to hear now I hope you just keep getting better and better Sheila: praying for your little furbaby -- you bet your boots the kennel is responsible! I hope she's ok and feels better soon! Can hardly believe only 3 weeks until the trip I never thought would be! I'm so blessed to be going and can't wait to meet so many dear friends! I'm contemplating buying the photopass plus-- I'm not the greatest with a camera and this will guarantee I have some memories from this whirlwind trip. If I don't buy it I'll probably regret it -- I've got about 7 days to make up my mind! I better get thinking about packing soon, I'm at a loss as I don't have many mixed weather clothes, and capris are no where to be found right now with a foot of snow on the ground, lol! I better get it sorted soon. Thank you to my dear friends who are military and military spouses for your sacrifice and service for helping making our world a better place! Xxxooo

janet our Poly dates are Aug 20 - Sept 3. Sorta thinking about a split again with GF maybe the last 2 or 3 days. We loved GF last August. But don't know. There's something to be said about just moving in and not having to pack & move!

When we had to move mom to assisted living it was awful. She lives in Florida, no family there. But she never wanted to move. We had an aide agency that sent mom an Aide for 8-10 hrs a day at her home. Then she started locking them out. And acting out and threatening them. It was terrible. That's when we moved her. I just had to move her again a year ago to a higher level of assisted living. This is why I'm in Florida every 6 mos, to see mom.

We then make a vacation of it and end our trip on a high note at wdw. Otherwise it's just too depressing.

Sheila how is Bella? You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sue I glossed over stuff, but Mom was doing some similar things (and it's so totally not her nature). She is still "with it" at times, and did go willing last year to assisted living, but was resisting the move to the memory care unit. So far okay. I feel so safe knowing she cannot leave the building alone.

I have such a sense of sadness overall... and my DS (who lives in Florida) has not been able to see my mom in about a year and a half. He will find a much different Grandma when he is able too.

I think its good you are able to visit her and then do something that makes you happy.

Hello, RCers... Is it Friday yet???

You have to book a BB while still on Disney property. The dates for the BB don't necessarily match to the GP offer for FD. That was the case with this year's offer, and it looks like it will be the case again. I had some clients who were peeved they didn't mesh. I believe the GP offer started in September.

Thanks for the info!!! I can't decide if I want to even mess with FD... it works out almost even with the military discount if we do FD with a Mod v. discount with a Deluxe and we'd get 2 extra park days (because we'd have to buy the 2 day ticket)... but DH and I really like having a day off to relax, and one day we're planning MNSSHP, so we'll have to see. I am really liking the deluxe amenities, so it might be a no brainer as we get closer.

I am excited and scared. I don't even know where to start with planning but I am super excited. Please don't mention on my FB page because this is my kids' Christmas gift and I am not telling any of our family.

Had to drive to Rochester on Sunday to help my sister with my Mom. My mom's been having some increased memory issues, long story short, we had to move her to the memory care assisted living (same facility, but a different bldg). Mom was resisting and was acting out. We were able to get her there on Monday, the staff is wonderful. Reports were she had a good first day/night, although when I visited on Tues, she thought I was taking her home ... It's sad to see my Mom slip further, she still has clear thinking (at times) but there has been some definite changes from when she went to Assisted Living a year ago.

On a happier note, Sam's last competition is in Hershey Park tomorrow. We are excited!! Think of us at 6:45 pm ... that's our step off time... before the kids leave we throw them a championship lunch ....I've made placemats and favor boxes. Working on Sam's poster tonight for display at the luncheon.

Thanks for the DD thoughts and I am so sorry about what you are going through with your mom. DH and I have family members on each side we're dealing with that with and it's so hard to explain to our oldest DD what's going on... she likes to talk to them on the phone but they don't always remember who she is. to you and your family.

dmindgal1 - hope DD is feeling better I know my DD has had this lingering cough that we cant get rid of since she was sick last month. So sorry to hear about your friend, that is just horrible

Ugh - I hate it when the kids can't shake the cough! DD has been going back and forth... I blame the weather since it has been hot/cold/hot/cold the last week or so.
Thanks for the support! My friend is doing SO well - I'm not sure how she's staying strong through it all. A bunch of us sent packages to the kids with Barbies and My Little Ponies and trains and cars... lots of goodies. They came this morning so it's like a mini Christmas!

THat really is amazing! I had no idea how hard it was to 'learn' to walk again when the muscles aren't used for awhile and after surgery. Baby steps are more like miles at that point! Congrats and keep going!!!

We are a Photopass family because DH hates when I live behind the lens. Since we started doing Photopass on trips, I take fewer photos myself, we get more family shots, and I spend more time in the moment. We are goingt o do Photopass + next trip for the ride photos if nothing else - DD LOVES her thrill rides and since we'll have to rider swap with LO, it will be fun to see all the pics!

Glad the cruise went well! DH and I watched a special on the DCL this weekend and we're talking Alaska at some point... so many things up in the air, but one day!!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend and that the week is starting well. I found out on Friday I have to go back in for more hip surgery soon... just have to do some more tests to see how invasive it will be. We're hoping arthroscopic but only time will tell.
LO started teething this weekend which has been a pickle. She's only 4 months and can't hold anything with great skill yet, so I've spent many hours holding chilly teethers for her. Thank goodness Big Sister can handle that job as well!

On the bright side, I called Disney this weekend and none of the available options were appealing, so I'm still with my WL BB room. I do keep reading about AKL and dreaming of the monorail resorts... maybe Santa will bring a magical rezzie!

Janet, Magic, Sue, Dimndgal1: Hang in there, ladies. I'm so sorry that you are dealing with these things; it's so stressful and draining emotionally. My mom is flying out to spend Christmas with Miss M and us. I'm glad she can fly still but it always makes me so worried. She's been on Aricept for almost 5 years now though I can see the changes. (Anyway, with her travelling -- not too long ago we "lost" her in the airport because she forgot where she was supposed to meet us. Took us over two hours to locate her due to her not having her cell turned on when she wandered outside to smoke. Needless to say, when she travels alone... I freak out. Need to equip her with a GPS locator. Gotta laugh about it or else I'd just )
