~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Share a Dream Come True Parade

Believe it or not, I've never seen this parade. I'm really not a parade type of gal. We usually take advantage of the lack of crowds and hit some e-ticket rides. :thumbsup2

I would LOVE to do this during our next trip. However, I think this is where DH would draw the line! :lmao: I'd definitely consider doing it if I had a little girl, though. I think it's so cute seeing all the little girls running around the park after they've had their makeovers.

I have a memory now! Yayy!

Chris and I were pooped on our MK day (this past Saturday :guilty:) so we were heading back to the resort to take a short nap. Well we ended up getting stuck right where the parade starts at the front of the MK and we had to sit there and watch it. We were glad we did because it was so cute!!

That is so awesome...YOU HAVE A MEMORY for Attraction of the day! Of course, I'm running out of things so I need a new idea to start!

It is cute, isn't it?! :)

I love the Share A Dream parade. I love all the parades though because Brooklynn gets so into them. She loves to wave at the characters and turn around and tell us all who is next. We always stake out a spot where no one can get in front of her so she has had several characters come up and wave or give her a five as they pass by.

Brookie is so cute! I hate it when people shove their kids in front of your kids! Especially right as the parade is starting/going by!

It is nice to take advantage of rides during parades/fireworks! :thumbsup2

Haha, I could just see DH now. Sitting there watching you get all done up at BBB with all these little girls and their mommies running around. And he's getting sprayed by the glitter and whacked in the face with those long fake hair pieces!

I've never seen it either!! Wow, I just realized that for all our trips to Disney... I've only seen 2 of the parades out of all of them!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say that I realized....2 months from today exactly, at this time exactly, we will be eating at the Luau! :woohoo:

Attraction of the Day...

Cirque du Soleil

Okay this is also something I've never done. But, I do have a weird memory about it. Before Stacey and all that on the WDW t.v.'s, they used to have something else (I can't remember) and then WDW commericals and stuff. They always had the AK commerical and at the end they said "Not a zoo!" only spelled the AK way. Then right after the AK commerical was always the Cirque du Soleil commerical. They always played this song that would get in my head! :headache:

When watching any of the Travel Channel shows about WDW and they show Cirque du Soleil, I always think that act with those little girls is so cute!

Okay, I haven't done this one either. But, I'd love to take my little girl there if I have one! Anyone who's been there, pppplease tell me all about it OR share pictures!

I think it is so adorable and I would so take my little girl there. I wish that they had cuter hairstyles though.

Attraction of the Day...

Share a Dream Come True Parade

Okay, the parades at the MK are my favorite! This is actually a weird memory...B/F and I were sitting on the train station looking out down Main Street. We decided to sit there to watch the daytime parade. It had been raining off and on all day so I was nervous the parade wouldn't go on. Soon, it was POURING and lighting really close. It was crazy seeing everyone run for cover. Main Street was pretty quiet. They kept announcing that the parade would still go on, it was just delayed. Eventually, they said that the usual parade wasn't going to happen, but they were going to do a "Rainy Day" parade. It was actually really cute! They had several cars full of characters. Some were walking with umbrellas. And they were all singing that song that we always hear from the Great Movie Ride, "Singin' in the Rain".

Aww that's so cute!!!! This is my favorite parade. I love the song lol!

HAHA:rotfl: hey, he can go get the pirate makover while you get a princess makeover.

John and I did Cirque on our honeymoon in 2004. We had front row seats. It was awesome. The guy on the bike came to edge of the stage and popped up on his back wheel. His front wheel was right over my head. I was so glad he had such great balance.

I know! I'm excited too! :) If you have a girl and she has that gorgeous hair you have...she HAS to be Ariel!

Front row seats?! How awesome! Haha, I'd be glad he had good balance too!

You HAVE to see Cirque Du Soleil, it's amazing! Our first show was La Nouba at Disney in 2005, and now we try to see a new show every year. In 2006 we saw Corteo on Randall's Island here in the city, at the end of 2007 we saw Wintuk at Madison Square Garden (it wasn't a traditional Cirque show and we didn't like it all that much... it was more for kids), and we just got tickets to see Kooza on Randall's Island this May. Can't wait! I'd LOVE to see the Cris Angel (we saw him at a tiny club in the city a few years ago and he was AMAZING!), Beatles and the water versions in Vegas. Cirque's amazing... try to see as many as you can!

Now that's just cool!

We have not done this, but it is, of course, on our very long list of things to do.

We're already doing the three months from now thing, so we totally understand your excitement!

Haha yes it is cool MeMom! I'm getting major senioritis right now!

I've never seen Cirque du Soleil either. It sounds pretty neat though.

We went to see Cirque just last summer, we were almost going to skip it and got tickets at the last minute but it was absolutely amazing. I would def. recommend going to see it. I don't really have a specific memory about it, just that it was wonderful, something I've never seen before. I was trying to explain what it was to my bf and I just couldn't find the words.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.
