~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

LOL the rumor was about Zac!!!

That Jammin Jungle Parade story is kind of funny. I hate running into parade crowds too! I think I've only seen that parade once and it was probably like in 2004 (I don't even know if it was the same parade but it was in AK!)

I did NOT like the Block Party Bash! We were about to leave and it was the first week they did it and a CM was like THERES SOME REALLY GOOD SEATS RIGHT HERE FOLKS IT IS GOING TO BE A GREAT PARADE YOU CAN'T MISS THIS ITS ONE OF A KIND! So we decided to watch and we hated it. Maybe its changed since then and it WAS the first week so I'm sure they've fixed problems but otherwise....eh.

LOL (the rumor)

After we got past the parade and on our way, we did have to laugh about it. Seems like random things like that always happen to us.

Aw, that's too bad about the parade. It's sad being disappointed.

I have not seen it, so I have no commentary for Block Party Bash, but I love seeing everyone else's! :)

I like seeing what everyone else has to say too!

Ooo I loved the Block Party Bash, it was so much fun. But it was so hot standing there waiting for it, I nearly melted. We had this horribly rude woman standing by us though who just pushed right in front of everyone at the last minute and then kept pushing closer and closer to me, I was not impressed

I hate people who do that! They act like they are God and everyone needs to move out of the way for them when they are the ones who showed up as the parade is going by.

Attraction of the Day...

Turtle Talk with Crush

Now, I haven't done this one, but I can't wait to take my little guy there next year. Anyone who's done it: Please tell me all about it!

This one really depends on audience participation. I have been at times when it is really funny and then once we got in there with a little know it all kid and it was not funny. He was always talking over the other kids and it just wasn't as fun. Brooklynn will be old enough this time to sit up front by herself so she may get to talk to Crush.

I love TURTLE TALK WITH CRUSH :cloud9: it very cool and interesting. Everytime you go you will get a different conversation. If the kids sit in the front Crush will ask them to participate and then the kids can ask questions too I love the interaction. When I was there he had question about the human world and brought a bikini top Crush said Squirt found it and asked what it was. It was so funny because the audience just laughed and finally told him what that was. Crush's face was priceless and then he said we should act like little blue(Dori) and act like this never happened :rotfl2:. Well I don't want to tell you too much it will spoil the fun. :rotfl:

I have not done it yet! maybe we will on this trip coming up.

Okay, thanks Jill! I hope Crush talks to Brookie. Maybe dress her in something bright or something that will get his attention over the other kids?! :rotfl:

Aw, that does sound like a lot of fun. Sounds like you might have to watch Nemo the movie before seeing this so you know who/what Crush is talking about!

I have not done it yet! maybe we will on this trip coming up.

Are there a lot of people that do this without kids?

I went with out kids I just sat down I felt kind of weird but I saw a lot of people going in with out kids. I think I explained everyone except Squirt that is his little dude his son.

I have never done Turtle Talk but it is on the list for this trip!!

We are not parade people except for Spectro so we haven't done Block Party Bash or the AK one but they do look cute!

How are you doing Tink?! Is school almost done for you? May 1st is my last day and I cannot wait!

You don't have to watch Nemo before seeing Crush. Crush is just a turtle that talks like a 'typical' surfer. He uses lots of words like 'dude' 'totally' 'awesome' usually talking like 'no way ddduuuuuuuuudddddddddddeeeeeeee' His son is named squirt and is taking after his dad.

There are always people that watch this with out kids. All the kids sit in front on the floor and there are benches behind them where the adults sit.

It is worth seeing. At least once anyway!! :goodvibes

I love Turtle Talk with Crush! I think it's so cute, I love going to see it. You're little guy will love it, it's so great for kids (and big kids too!) It's actually one of the few things my dbf really wants to see when we go (pretty much he doesn't care what we do, it's up to me).

I have never seen Turtle Talk with Crush but I really want to see it this time. It sounds hilarious. Emma wants to ask him if he likes Turtle Soup after a CM told her to last year but we never got the chance to go. i was hoping she had forgotten about that!

The Block Party Bash does look cute!

I'm doing good. I had two LONG papers to write this week. It was exhausting. My group has also been working on our presentation for my Behavioral Research Symposium of our study we did.

Okay, I didn't know if people would be confused watching Turtle Talk with Crush if they haven't seen the movie. But, I have so I was just wondering. The movie is adorable. A great Disney classic for years to come!

I really hope my little guy does! I just can't wait to see his face for all of his firsts at WDW.

Attraction of the Day...

Chester & Hester's Dino-Rama

Okay, I'm sorry but I do not like this at all! Feels too much like a weirdo carnival and looks cheap. But, I'm sure that a lot of the kids like playing the games. It just doesn't feel like it fits in at a WDW park to me.

HAHA what is this? Is it the games in AK in Dinoland or whatever it is called??

I think it's cute but it's not really Disney like to me. Best memory of the area...meeting the Dinosaurs over there. Over the years we met four different ones. They were all so cute!

I haven't done this yet- but I have heard a lot about it and have seen in on the travel channel! This is a must do for me this trip! ForSURE! :thumbsup2

Chester & Hester's Dino-Rama

I don't know this.. but I don't hangout in in the kidy areas or game areas much.

I've seen it on the Travel Channel too! :rotfl:

Yeah I don't care much for C&H.

We've seen Turtle Talk several times. He's always pretty cute and witty, and it just depends on the audience as to what kind of overall 'show' it turns out to be. It's nice to sit for a while, and the kids enjoy it. Brooklynn loves the gift shop as you go out of the Living Seas area, because she loves Nemo and all of his ocean friends.

Chester and Hester have a nice little roadside carnival going on. If you look at the story behind that and all the cool themed stuff, you know that that area is exactly what it has been designed to be. We've ridden the rides and walked around, but we haven't played games there yet. We'll pick up on that part when the girls are a little bigger.
