No stories, just pictures. Here's some of the animals you can see...
I think I already mentioned how DS was so thrilled to find the naked mole rats? So this was the first thing we did in AK. We got FP for Safari and walked the trail. It was wonderful, hardly anyone was there...
The bird area was really cool, but none of my pics of the birds came out very well...
Oh wow! Thanks both of you for those pictures!! I'm getting excited!
jmsadams: Does your DS like Kim Possible since he likes naked mole rats.![]()
Attraction of the Day...
The Magic Carpets
Okay so this is a general memory of every time we ride this..Sis ALWAYS makes sure she's in the row where you steer whether you go up or down...and she lines us up just perfect with the spitting camel. So everytime we go around and get closer to the camel...we all hold our breath and hope it doesn't spit! But of course, at least one of the times it does and we get wet!

Attraction of the Day...
Toy Story Mania
I can't say enough how much I love this ride! It just opened like two weeks before we got there for our '08 trip so we were excited to ride it! Here's a memory from my TR:
We decided to skip Fantasmic this year......yes, shocking, I know. It just was a really weird trip for us this year with everything that was going on at home and it was weird not having B/F with us since he's been quite a few times with us now. The second Fantasmic was going on and EMH's were starting so I got the idea that we should head back to Toy Story Mania and see how bad the line is because we loved this ride. The wait time said 40 minutes and we said "heck yeah we doing it!" The CM standing by the enterance kept yelling at people "The wait time is wrong! It's longer than 40 minutes! I wouldn't try it if I were you!" And we just looked at each other....We walked in the building and around the corner to start the queue line and........seriously.......no one.....in.....line..we looked at each other as we were weaving around and walking straight through the first room and we all had the "
" confused look. We walked all the way up to a little line right before we boarded the ride. We were on the ride in less than 15 minutes! Let's just keep this a secret betwen us on here so no one else gets the idea!

We were at Disney last year for my mom's birthday, and on our first night the CM at Primetime Cafe brought my mom a birthday button. As a joke, she wrote "Happy 21st!" below my mom's name.My mom was so embarrassed as she is... well... not 21 anymore LOL. When we got on TSM, the CMs working the ride got so into it, yelling "you don't look a day over 20!" and "Happy Birthday! You're finally legal!"... it was absolutely hilarious.

Pangani Exploration Trail
This is another new one on my list to try this trip. I'd love to see any pictures, hear any stories...anything about this!
And Pangani Forest trail...Ok on our 2008 trip we were watching the gorillas for a really long time, and some rude person threw a napkin into their enclosure while we were watching! It made me really mad, it just seemed very cruel to do that on purpose and one of the gorillas tried to eat it. The person who threw it thought this was hilarious and her whole group was cracking up, laughing at the poor animal. Well, the gorilla figured out quick they weren't throwing him food, and it's almost like he knew he was being laughed at, because he turned around and stuck his butt up in the air at them, and peed! It was like he was telling them off in his own gorilla wayWe were the ones laughing at that, and the mean napkin thrower ran off embarrassed.
Oh yes. We are big KP fans.

My favorite TSM memory is from the first time I rode it in January...I've only been on it twice but the minute I saw the scrabble board I knew we would be HUGE fans because we love scrabble. The ride is so cute and fun! I am determined to beat DF at it in June!!

We've only been on TSM twice now. The first time we rode it, we waited in the standby line for about 40-50 minutes. My dad and uncle were being goofy and every time we turned a corner and saw how much further the line went, they'd goand whine "How much longer?" like impatient 5 year olds. It was pretty funny!

I don't think I have any special memories from Pooh either. We've only been on it once in 2005. I was never a big fan of Winnie the Pooh growing up so it doesn't hold much meaning to me![]()
Aw you weren't a big fan?!Haha..that's okay, I still like ya!

So my family must rank up there in weird ones because the ONLY rides in Fantasyland that we have done as a family is IASW and Snow White.I'm thinking we'll do some more this trip...

I love Winnie the Pooh. I don't know if I was a Winnie the Pooh fan when I was a kid, but when I was in middle school, Pooh Bear became very popular among all the little 12, 13 year olds. We had Pooh stuffed animals, Pooh coloring books, all sorts of things. So, he has a special place in my heart. Plus, I think it's cute to ride in the honey pot. Although, I will admit to missing Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Although, this ride terrified me when I was a kid. I wasn't scared of the Snow White ride, but for some reason, Mr. Toad scared the bejeezes out of me. I think on some level I didn't trust the tracks that the rides stayed on, and I thought my father was going to crash it. Heh. I was a strange little kid. I was also terrified of elevators, and whenever we were at a place (mall, or something) with an elevator, I would make my mother (loaded down with shopping bags and a stroller with my brother in it) take the escalator, because elevators terrified me. I've seen first hand how difficult it can be to maneuver a stroller on an escalator. I probably owe her some sort of apology for that.![]()

Attraction of the Day...
Winnie the Pooh
Okay..I know that's not the exact name of the ride..but I like saying what we call it.Okay so I love this ride.
Especially the part where it's like you're bouncing with Tigger and then floating in the water from the rain! And...anybody who's ever been on it..knows that at the end it goes "And at last, the rain went away and everyone gathered together to say HOORAY!" Well...we always say this part out loud and then at the HOORAY part...we shout it.

Attraction of the Day...
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
I will never forget my first time at this show back when I was 4. The theater was packed and they just let people keep coming in, so we had to stand toward the back along one of the aisles. Since I was only 4, dad picked me up so I could see. I'll never forget the water coming down from the ceiling and those green laser lights to make it look like the ocean/waves. And when Ariel came out?! I was in awe! It's now a must for us every trip.
