~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Wow.. I"ve missed alot of questions..

Question of the Day...

Another question about choices!

You're at the MK...and can only ride one Mountain...which one do you choose (Space, Big Thunder, Splash) out of the "Triple Mountain Whammy" (as Stacy says)?

Splash Mountain without a doubt. Love it!!

Question of the Day...

When arriving at the MK, do you go to the left side (Adventureland/Frontierland/Liberty Square) or the right side (Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, ToonTown) of the park first?

I was going to say we always go to the left, but looking back on past trips we've gone to the right.. so i guess it depends what ride you'd like to ride first...

Question of the Day...

What do you head to first at AK? Do you get fast passes for anything?

First thing we do is ride Everest and FP too!!

Question of the Day...

Since I leave in 12 days, I have to ask...What are some must-have things you bring with you to the parks?

Ohhh... this is a good one.
I'd have to say:
-Park tickets
-Waterbottle
-Some form of comb/brush
-Make-up
-camera

Question of the Day...

Do you fly or drive to WDW? How long does the flight or drive take you?

We always fly, especially coming from Canada and it usually takes about 4-5 hours.

I fly to WDW it takes 2hrs.

I have no questions today :confused3

2 hours isn't bad!

You have no questions?!

Splash is pretty fun!

What make up do you bring? Just curious since several people have mentioned bringing it.

Haha, yeah driving from Canada would take FOREVER! 4-5 hours?! Barf.

Question of the Day...

Do you fly or drive to WDW? How long does the flight or drive take you?

Well we choose to fly. Even though we very much dislike flying it makes DH and I's anxiety go crazy.. so its hard for either of us to calm the other down.. especially DH would freaks at every movement, wind, noise etc.. hehe but it only takes us 2 1/2 hours if we fly nonstop. Now if we drive it takes like 20+ hours. Which I have driven to Florida twice. Once- we went to Orlando and then to my Gmas, and the once to Panama City- which if I remember right it took 22 hours. The road trip thing is fun for like the first 10 hours and then I start going crazy. Plus, at the end of my trip- I don't want to drive that AT ALL!

Question of the Day...

Do you fly or drive to WDW? How long does the flight or drive take you?

In the past it has just depended on the cost of flights. Flying takes about an hour and 45 minutes. Driving takes about 11 and a half hours without stops. We usually can make it in about 12 since we usually drive while Brooklynn is sleeping. We drove in November and it took us 16 hours to get home because of all the Thanksgiving traffic so after that journey we have decided it is worth the money to fly especially having two little ones now.

We drive! We split up the drive there between two days, stopping overnight in Savannah. The first day we usually drive 14-hours, and the second day is 4 hours. We drive straught through on the way home, which is a good 18-hour drive. UGH!

Question of the Day...

Do you fly or drive to WDW? How long does the flight or drive take you?

Well, we live 2000+ miles away from Florida so we chose to fly. It takes about 6 or so hours in the air and then an hour or more long at a layover city. And with a 3 hour time change, it takes basically all day long to get there.

Hard to believe but I think I have reached my limit :rotfl:

MMM let me see
What would you tell a person who has never gone to WDW?

I have never flown to Disney. I always lived way too close to bother flying (the longest drive would have been 3-4 hours.) I live an 11 hour drive away now and would probably fly because the drive from Orlando to Louisiana when we moved SUCKED.

Ugh, I hate flying too!

Yeah, I hate the drive back home.

Wow, that's not a bad flight length!

Hope the baby does good on the plane for you!

Haha, I knew your answer already. :lmao:

 Well I hope you're not getting bored of my PTR!!!!!

I would tell them that they HAVE to go! They don't know what they're missing. If they were planning a trip, I'd show them all the park maps and stuff so they can understand the layout of WDW. Some people think that you can just walk to each of the parks!

Oooh, that would be nice to live so close!

No I am not bored I love your PTR. I just didn't have much time to think about questions because of everything that is going on you know.

Oh I def. fly. I refuse to drive, it'd take too long and I love my family but I think we'd kill each other if we were couped up in the car for like 20 something hours!!! Plus I loooove flying. I think it's so much fun! A few times though we did take the autotrain so we could have our car while we were down there. That's kinda fun cause it's like an adventure before you even get to disney!

:lmao: I figured you knew! You guys drive too right??

Yup, we drive! We're stopping in Nashville and staying the night. Then stopping in Gainesville and staying the night.

No I am not bored I love your PTR. I just didn't have much time to think about questions because of everything that is going on you know.

Okay good. Yeah, I know.:hug:

Haha, yeah sometimes we just have to get away from each other after being in the car!

We fly! I don't know if I'll ever drive down again LOL we did it the first time we ever went to FL when I was 7 and my brother was 4 and I don't remember much except that I slept through half of Virginia, all of NC and half of SC because I get car sick and my parents gave me dramamine :rotfl:

So ever since then we fly and it takes like 2.5 hrs or so. One day I will move to like North or South Carolina and drive and go to WDW like 3 or 4 times a yr :cloud9: :goodvibes

Question of the Day...

Do you fly or drive to WDW? How long does the flight or drive take you?

Drive because it's only 2 1/2 hours for us. :goodvibes

I just realize we'll be at OKW at the same time. :cutie: We'll be there the 29th & 30th for the first time.

Question of the Day...

I'm not a big fan of flying, but that's the only way to go. There is NO WAY I would ever drive to Florida. We drove on my first two trips, but I was 2yo and 5 yo. I don't even remember it. For our upcoming trip, we have a direct flight from Buffalo to Orlando. We take off at 7am and are scheduled to land at 9:36am. You just can't beat that! Back in Jan, we had about a 1 hour layover at JFK (the new JetBlue terminal is AMAZING!). I think we left Buffalo around 7:30am and landed sometime between 10:30 and 11am.

JetBlue is amazing and I highly recommend it if it's in your area. There are tv's at every seat with 30+ DirecTv channels. Plus, there are like 100 XM satelite radio stations! You get unlimited FREE snacks and my DH just loves that they serve Dunkin Donuts coffee. The best part is, you can watch tv while taking off and landing. No waiting until they give the "all clear" for electronic devices. I think that is what helped put me at ease. I really don't like taking off, but I was distracted this time which was very nice.

We fly. It's about 2 1/2 hours for us. This might sound crazy but I think it might be fun to drive some day. Of course if I ever did that I would stay a lot longer than 4 days!

Hopefully we will run into each other. I will be on the lookout! I don't have a LGMH, but you know what my family and I look like so you'd be able to know it was us!

Haha, my packing? Well...we have been making our lists and went shopping Sunday to get what we needed. Now, we just need the time to actually pack it! I've been busy with the little guy and work and ugh! I'm so ready for vacation! Ha.

Sorry, don't know what LGMH means. :confused3 But yes! I know what you & your family looks like, so I will keep my eyes peeled. I am going to actually start putting things in suitcases tomorrow. Right now it is gathered in bags all over my house. Not very organized at all!

QOTD - We always fly. Since we live in California it is a whole day process between flight & layovers. I hate the time it takes, but it is worth it.
