~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

We like to watch Spectro across the from the bakery on Main Street..and we always grab a dessert during parades. It would be a toss up to watching it from the poly beach or directly infront of the castle.

Oh goodness, do I have hilarious stories for you. Both my boyfriend and best friend are quite the comedians.

Back in 2006 for my best friend's birthday in October we decided to go to Animal Kingdom and Epcot. At AK we went on Primeval Whirl, since I had never been on it. If you have never been on this ride, 4 people sit in two sets of seats so my bff and I sat together and then these two teen girls sat in the other two seats. In order to fully appreciate the lols I have to explain that my best friend is a tall guy at 6'4 and I have huuuge hips and a butt that goes on for days, so we were super squished together in this little two-person seat. So the ride started and it was pretty tame...until it started thrashing us around and my best friend's *ahem* "boys" started getting crushed and he was yelping out like a hurt puppy in between all the laughter. I was laughing so hard I had tears streaming down my face. Even the two teen girls with us were roaring with laughter. The way my best friend walked off of the ride was priceless. :rotfl:

Later that same day we were at EPCOT just walking around when we both started noticing the amount of creepy men were staring at my chest had increased exponentially (it happens a lot, the "girls" are big ) It was getting super annoying and I was feeling creeped out so the bff in order to make me laugh about it leaned over to me and started singing "Private Eyes" by Hall & Oates, namely the part that goes "private eyes, are watching you" *clap clap* :rotfl2: Yes, he even did the clap. I was laughing so hard, the creepers probably thought I was going nuts.

This isn't so much a story as it is a picture...

That was taken at MVMCP 2008 on the teacups
My boyfriend was trying to make the teacups as "brutal" as possible like he always does while I was laughing hysterically like I always do. We ended up so dizzy that I literally fell out of the teacups like a drunk.

Ok, I think I wrote enough. I have many, many more stories because like I said, my boyfriend is an absolute riot. :lmao:

OMG LOL!!! I'm cracking up over here lol! That picture is great!

Question of the Day...

Where do you think is the best spot to watch Wishes/Spectro?

Smack dab in the middle of Main St! :)

In front of the castle I think not to close not to far just right up main st.

Most memorable moment in WDW? (Funny Sad etc)

Question of the Day...

Where do you think is the best spot to watch Wishes/Spectro?

I've always liked to watch Spectro in front of the Emporium, but on our last trip, we watched it from the entrance hub. It was nice to see it right where it started. I like to stand right smack dab in the middle of Main Street to watch Wishes.

Question of the Day...

Where do you think is the best spot to watch Wishes/Spectro?

In front of the Plaza Resturant. I've seen Spectro a couple of times and it is relaxing to sit there and see it from a Distance. You have nice chairs to sit on, because no one thinks to stop there and grab a chair. I chase my dh in to the Plaza and get ice cream, (they will let you do this) and then we watch Wishes. You will get people that will try to squish in behind or besides you, but I love the chairs to sit on, my back always hurts sitting on the pavement. If Tink flys, you get an awesome view of her landing. And, there is one tree in the way, but Wishes is still a great view from this area.

The best spot to watch Spectro is across from Liberty Tree Tavern.

The best spot for Wishes, well, take a look:

And if you wonder where I am, take a look at the end of the show. . .

The best place for Wishes is while riding Dumbo.

OMG, my B/F was the same way on Primeval Whirl! :lmao:

OMG, *clap clap* :rotfl:

Haha, that is a great picture!

OMG LOL!!! I'm cracking up over here lol! That picture is great!

Thanks! That's quite possibly one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken at WDW. I'm not too sure how I even managed it though because I was laughing so hard.

I forgot to mention that at one point the bff yelled "my boys!" which caused us three girls to lose it. :rotfl:

Question of the Day...

Where do you think is the best spot to watch Wishes/Spectro?

I like to watch Wishes from the end of Main Street, in front of the castle, standing a bit to the right side. After much trial it is the best spot I have found to take fantastic pictures of the fireworks.

I have only seen Spectro from Main Street, right in front of the ice cream shop, so I'll say there. :)

Question of the Day...

Where do you think is the best spot to watch Wishes/Spectro?

Preferrably not behind a very tall family. :confused3 That's the only place I've ever watched them :rotfl:

Question of the Day...

What is your funniest WDW moment? Something that happened to you, someone you were with, or someone you witnessed!

Ok. I have two. One at WDW and one at DL. Let's start with WDW.
My family and I were trekking over to ride Buzz Lightyear (in the rain, of course) and we were confronted by an overly perky cast member who insisted on calling me a princess (not a good idea that day) and shook my hands vigorously, singing a very weird song (something like "Welcome to Walt Disney World, Welcome to Walt Disney World, Welcome to Walt. Disney. World!"). Miffed, we moved on to join the queue and I had to scratch my nose when I was plagued by a horrible odor. I looked at my mom and said, "Mom, my hands smell." :rotfl: It was so funny at the time.
Then at DL, my mom and I were waiting for some members of our group to come out of the bathroom. We were sitting on a planter underneath a tree. I was just digging in the planter, happy to be at Disney and I found a quarter buried in there! Unfortunately, at the exact same moment, a bird pooped on my mom. There's some Disney magic for you. :)

Ack! I've fallen behind once again. Geez, I need more DIS time in my day. :sad2: Can't believe you guys leave in less than TWO weeks!!! :woohoo:

What is your funniest WDW moment? Something that happened to you, someone you were with, or someone you witnessed!
My BFF and I were walking over in Fantasyland in this big crowd of people. It had just stopped raining, so everyone was putting their ponchos/umbrellas away. Well, we overheard this one guy get upset that the person in front of him just stopped all of the sudden. The next thing we hear, "They better watch out, or someone is going to get an umbrella enema!" :rotfl: It cracked me up!

I like to watch near Casey's. It's a great view, and you can take awesome photos!

I also LOVE to watch it while riding Astro Orbiters. It provides a great and unique view...very cool!

OMG, 134 pages?! Crazy!! I'm so behind!

My favourite spot for Wishes is right outside Casey's Corner, and Spectro I like to watch from the Hub or Main Street. But definitely in the Main Street/castle area for both! There's just nothing like it.:lovestruc

You leave so soon!:dance3:

Yeah that is a good spot!

Hm...my most memorable moment? I think it'd have to be when we were at Epcot one year and my sis was in a wheelchair because she had knee surgery right before we went on our trip...and I stopped to take a pic of Mom and Dad with Spaceship Earth in the background and all of a sudden we hear her screaming and we turn and look and she's rolling down the hill and can't stop! We were running after her but it was hard to because we were laughing so hard!

Another vote for outside Casey's! How early did you get there?

WISHES is best viewed from BTMRR! It's absolutely amazing! :thumbsup2

I want to do that!!!!

Hi! Sorry I haven't posted in a couple days. I am in crazy mode right now trying to get ready to go. I totally knew what Lime Green Mickey Head was, and I just could not work out the letters in my brain at the time. Then as soon as you said it, I was thinking "duh!"

Your trip is getting close too! Yay!

Question of the Day...

Where's the best spot to watch Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at AK?

Tomorrow: Tomorrow, I will start doing a '1 week from today' update. They will feature some pictures and what I'm excited about doing 1 week from that day.

i think anywhere is fine but i prefer to be near the entrance to the park so i can leave once it's over! i hear in africa you can see the parade twice.

the "one week from today" game is the best!

I've never seen that parade. We've only been to AK once and we were finished with the park before the parade even started. We decided to go back to the hotel for a swim.

I can't wait for the one week from today! I may have to steal, I mean borrow, that idea over on my PTR!
